Hi I’m Aurikatariina and I deep clean my followers' homes for free! ❤️
Today I did this emergency cleaning! I got contacted by a cleaning company, asking for help for this resident. Then they said that thw home needs to be cleaned by TOMORROW. So we were in a real hurry! Because the landlord was coming to the apartment the next day. Even though I had a very busy schedule already of course I really wanted to help this resident. And the home was so lovely and dirty and also had quite a lot of trashes! I asked help from my followers and luckily one of my lovely followers were able to come and help me. And it turns out that she was a cleaner as well!! So she really knew what she was doing and we got the home cleaned really quickly. I love that now the resident doesn’t have to stress about the landlord coming to check the apartment. At the end of the day all the surfaces are in good condition and this whole thing was solved with just a good cleaning.
Bathroom cleaning, kitchen cleaning, living room cleaning, Organizing, deep cleaning, Washing, before and after pictures, satisfying results.

Auri. PLEASE please please stop using better help as a sponsor. Not only are they a scam that does more harm than good by providing people with unlicensed or inadequate therapists, but now they are supporting the police state of Israel. Please. If you care about your followers, stop promoting them.
Better Help "allegedly" also shares their client's info with third parties. not something that should be happening when it comes to getting help with mental health. BE AWARE
They sell client data sadly
I've often thought about reaching out for help, but the thought of people recognizing my home made me unable to. I've started my home one room at a time. Now I'm down to only one room left to go. Your videos have helped so much!
Congratulations. Keep up the good work!
@@inthrutheoutdoor5849 thank you!
Congrats, Miss Scarlet. ❤
Congratulations. Keep going.
wow! you're amazing
Hello Auri.
Once you're in Florida, you could also let hospitals know about your services.
Sometimes elderly people cannot be released, back into their homes, because of the condition.
They end up in nursing homes.
It wouldn't be a breach of confidentiality because you could leave your business card and the family would contact you directly. ❤
Yes I was thinking that too. Social workers are a valuable source of information too. Go yo🎉🎉🎉u❤❤❤
yes this, Social workers, hospitals or even therapist/doctors offices. I personally wouldn't ask the police because they might very well be involved with some people who suffer depression etc. but they are much more likely to know of people who suffer from mental illness + substance abuse. And people who are addicted to substances ofc should get help and they deserve to live in a clean home - but I would be worried about potential risks.
This is á BEAUTIFUL idea!
@@andreacahill5906 And local hospice offices would love to offer this help to grieving families.
You don't get "sent to a nursing home" because your house is a mess. You need to have a CONDITION that's CERTIFIED to REQUIRE Skilled Nursing Care. Stop making up nonsense in your imagination.
You're so right about not wanting to ask for help. About 20 yrs ago I was in a major depression from ending a relationship and losing a very lucrative job. I just sat around and didn't notice how bad my house was. My sister and Mother came over and said "don't be embarrassed, we're here to help, no judgement". They helped me clean the house (it was really bad) and after that I started to feel a lot better. My Mom passed away this year and I keep my house spotless for her, because she was so kind about helping me with no judgement. Keep up the good work!
You are blessed with thoughtful & kind people 😇😇around You❗🙏 I have one close relative that PROMISED me help when I asked, & all of a sudden she stop coming! I've asked other friend that I have helped her clean her apartment, & she also PROMISED she'll turn up & I never heard of /seen her AGAIN❗😳 I use to buy food & drink to someone helping me, as sort of payment for the amount of gas costs, since they don't want money for helping me..🤷 so got even more depressed then before, & quit trusting people...🤷
I'm so sorry ppl let you down. Please don't give up.@@helengren9349
What a beautiful person your mom was. Thank you for sharing your story and all my condolences for your loss. I'm sure she would be proud of you for honoring her in such a way. ❤
That sounds so sweet, it is very hard to withhold any judgement when it comes to our own loved ones. My condolences to you and your sister on losing your mom.
That is incredibly sweet. I’m so happy they understood what you were going thru and you have a supportive family.
Something I wish I had and don’t.
i think something real cool about auri is that she doesnt use anything expensive to clean - no steaming gadgets or dyson vaccumes which not everyone can afford. she shows that you can clean a space with simple resources with some elbow grease.
Yeah, that’s excellent. but lack of ability to do elbow grease is the problem for other people.
Have you priced scrub daddy 😂
I can't do much elbow grease because i have hEDS and it's worst in my arms and hands. I have a couple gadgets that were not so expensive, a $32 convertible stick vac/hand vac and the $40 steamshot that i clean the fridge with. Otherwise specialized cleaning chemicals really help a lot, versus dish soap on a rag which is what i used to use for almost everything. My favorite product is method all purpose spray. It works so well on almost everything and I just get specific cleaners for more difficult areas like the oven and toilet. Car detailing spray is another one that surprised me, it destroys car grime.
My other favorite thing is no rinse floor cleaner. A lot of pro cleaners use it so there are a bunch of affordable options in gallon jugs, or you can just get a $5 bottle of generic spray mop liquid at Wally world. All this stuff makes my life so much easier. I can have clean spaces with way less pain and effort. It used to be too hard.
@@no_peace honestly you're just buying products to buy them there is no substitute for elbow grease. I understand you have a health condition and can't but the products aren't a good substitute

Don’t worry about the landlords Auri! You come into these incredibly dirty apartments and rectify the situation. You’re actually helping the landlords. I remember when you cleaned the place where two women lived in an awful mess. You must have saved the woman who owned the place from a nervous breakdown, I’m sure of it.
I totally disagree. The landlord is being fooled. This kind of treatment of the apartment causes a great amount of damage over time and brings bugs and rodents.
@@Mrs.TJTaylor You’re so eager to find fault eh? You misrepresent what’s happening here. Auri has cleaned home after home, leaving them in better shape than they were before. She’s talked to at least one landlord who was grateful that she cleaned up. She doesn’t set out to “fool” anybody. She just helps people who need her help. I wish there more people like her in this world.
We need more people like her.
@@mightymisskHopefully after she leaves the deeper issues get resolved. Not only psychological but the problems it causes to the place too. Like exterminators and plumbing issues, etc. ruined floors and walls…..
Lol i dont think auri is worried about the landlord, its the one living that is
In the US, social services are normally provided by the county in which a person lives. In Miami, you might try contacting the Miami-Dade County Agency on Aging, which coordinates services for elderly residents. They might know of an elderly person who needs assistance with an especially dirty home.
Was coming to the comments to say this and you said it better
I don't know about Florida, but in Tennessee we have an agency called Human Services... they arrange the welfare and assistance like that for families. Maybe Florida has something similar.
I agree it's a very good idea to help elderly people. Or she can also contact social services and ask if they know any struggling single mothers who might need help. I just hope she avoids cleaning for dysfunctional families for her own safety, I've heard it can be pretty bad in the US in some parts of your cities, especially in black and Mexican families, there seems to be a lot of violence and substance abuse, or use of guns, something I have never seen in Europe.
That would be so wonderful!!
@@bartoszwojciechowski2270American here. You are correct about safety issues.
Slowly but surly I’ve been cleaning my apartment. Depression has buried me this year and I’ve been going one room at a time. One. Room. Left. Today is the day, I can do this!
How's it going? hope you are keeping the work, I sent you my best wishes !!
I hope you have a great time in Florida! I grew up there and my advice for cleaning in Florida is to be cautious of spiders and bugs. Compared to Northern Europe, there is much more dangerous wildlife in Florida. It is a good idea to wear gloves, especially when reaching into places that haven’t been disturbed in a while, since you don’t know if some venomous creatures might have made a home there.
Be safe and have fun!!❤
That is true warm climates have creatures and crawlies we never saw in the north especially in dirty environments be safe
Good idea!
Look out for the palmetto bugs...they look like roaches, are huge AND fly!!

You’re an inspiration. I grew up in a chaotic, messy home and I remember the stress of inspection time. My mother was always so terrified and we’d stay up all night for days cleaning. auri over here being an amazing person again. she went to clean this apartment IN ONE DAY, even though she had other homes to clean in the same week. like, how can anyone be so kind and compassionate towards others. seeing and listening to her restores my faith in humanity. LOVE YOU AURI ! ♥
your videos became my "before I go to sleep" routine. It calms me down seeing something gets "finished". thank you for that!❤
I do the same thing! Her positive and understanding nature is very relaxing when I'm about to try and sleep.

I had our bathrooms custom made, like these bathrooms. I showed the contractor videos pictures and ideas and they he did it for me. Guess you just gotta have, the place, income, desire and good contractor working with you.
Now all the walls in the bathroom can be cleaned and easily maintained. I haven't had a problem, no mold, no slips, no regrets. I hope everyone and anyone that buys their own home, can finally have a custom made bathroom like the ones on the videos. 😊 peace and love y'all ✌️💝
*Btw my husband is the contractor 😅😂🤣
it's ok if the landlord doesn't know it was a mess. like you said, there was no damage or things broken. just needed to be cleaned. plus, maybe william will be inspired to keep it clean now.
You’re amazing! A friend asked me for help with his apartment last week and I used your videos to show him he’s not alone. These things do happen to people and it’s ok! The important thing is being able to ask for help! Thank you! ❤
That was a great idea!
If my husband were alone it would probably happen to him. He used to be very neat but since he's gotten old, I have to keep after him to not leave trash everywhere. He changed from Mr. Clean and tidy to Mr. Dirty and messy. I never would have predicted that.
👏

I think you might be surprised that houses in the rest of the world are not as well built as those in Finland. I've been really impressed by how sound the homes you clean are underneath the dirt! And those drains and shower hoses in the bathrooms are such a good idea, but not something we have here in NZ.
In America a drain in bathrooms and laundry room would alleviate many claims for water damage caused by flooding from said areas. Too simple, makes no sense to the builder.
yeah, the drains in the bathrooms (and in some countries even in kitchens) are absolutely amazing, no idea why the rest of the world doesn't built houses like this, all bathrooms should also be at least semi-wet rooms, so you wouldn't have to be careful to get water on your walls or the floor, cleaning would be 1000% easier.
@@AlexBsSecretYES! First time I saw a RUclips video of a "cleaning routine" from a US person I almost fainted... everything in the bathroom was cleaned with wet rags and sanitizing wipes 😖. That is ok if you just want to do a quick touch up to an already clean restroom, but if its dirty? Man then I need a proper drain and for the whole floor to be tiled cause you bet I'm going to literally wash the whole restroom with soap, water and disinfectant the same way Auri does! There is no reason to have floors or walls that cannot get wet in a bathroom. American houses are very pretty but they are buildt like luxury shacks...its all wood, plaster and fantasies. I'd rather have concrete or brick walls and floors.
@@sandravasquez7628
Well said ! 😊
It is very common in brazil. We Love to Wash bathrooms with water and it is essential to have a drain outside The shower for that
Can I just say I LOVE how you're separating the trashes and recycling them. We have a similar system in Germany and I recycle almost religiously and it annoys me so much when people just throw everything into one bin.
Isilwen, best wishes from another phantom recycler in the uk.☘️
Yesss!! I get so annoyed as well!
SAME
Ok I understand but at first get rid of the rubbish anyway possible then you can move on to recycling . Here on the Uk we have small boxes but that can be overwhelming when you have so much rubbish. Getting rid of the majority and then recycling is important.
Hey Auri, in the US elderly often get condemned from homes. Local social services county offices would know if they have any elderly that have notices to clean or be condemned (meaning they board up the house for good=elderly will be homeless). There are many of these in the US! Please check with the Florida county social services offices for any elderly on notice that need cleaning help 😊 Also Adult protective services would have homes that could use help (that is who gets called when elderly or disabled are living in poor conditions.
I’m glad you’re coming to Florida! Just be prepared for some cockroaches in the dirty homes. I lived next door to a messy neighbor and our entire building was infested. No matter how clean I kept my house, or how much poison I used, they kept coming back. Finally we moved to a house and have been roach free for 2 years.
Yes, she will not like Palmetto bugs ( Eurycotis floridana). Got to spray the yard and house to get rid of roaches and keep it up, as they come over from other yards.
Yes. Those big palmetto bugs! Infestations happen very quickly. You have to get rid of them and then clean every day.
Huge Wolf Spiders,, Snakes and Alligators that get in through doggy doors. 😮
@@Jibbie49 Ours were the tiny German cockroaches.
@@AngelDRose Yes, we have them in the U.S. as well, as I call them "racer roaches' as they are so fast.
If you are looking for home to clean and people to help, you could speak to children services.
I work in children Social care in the UK, and a lot of families could really use your amazing help.
Trying to get someone to help people is very hard to do and often the parents are so overwhelmed they just don't know where to start xx
Thanks you for all you do xxx

Yes! Social services in general is a better option than the police. Police might know someone, but it's not their job and in the US, cops and welfare checks are usually...not great.
@@Quintus468believe me, social services don’t really how dirty a house is
As someone who still fights heavy depression, thank you so much for doing those things! I know how hard it is if you can’t get out of bed or take care of your surroundings. On very bad phases I couldn’t even brush my teeth or make myself food for weeks. The showering was also very difficult for me.. just generally taking care of myself was so hard because my head thought and sometimes still thinks it’s not worth it. IM not worth it. But people like you help me to sometimes kick my butt and start. Even if it’s just little things like throwing on the washing machine or cleaning up the floor so you can kind of walk freely. It’s still so very hard because friends and family never noticed it when I had those very bad phases but when I reached out to a friend, because I was just so incredibly overwhelmed, it helped so much. So again thank you for what you are doing. You are an absolute angel ❤
Wow, I'm finding it so amazing that you both cleaned this apartment in less than 24hrs! That's so inspiring! Very well done to you!! You probably saved that person from eviction, really really well done!
I wish more American homes had the kind of bathrooms you guys have. Much simpler and easier to clean.
It is also very easy for elderly people and caretakers. There is a downside though, your entire bathroom will get wet so you really need to take care to dry it properly to fight mold and nasty smells
i would have to agree!
And British bathrooms that often come with carpets 🤢
I'm just curious now
what differences do you see between these bathrooms and American bathrooms? if you can share, i'm really interested now 🙂
@@gardeninginthedesertI'm English and never saw a carpeted bathroom here.
It must have been really exhausting doing all of that in one day - we recently moved home and there were still a lot of things to sort through/pack a couple of days before the move that was exhausting. Kudos for you and your helper for doing this as the resident wouldn't have been able to do it by himself. The afternoon of the day before we moved I was over whelmed by it and shut down.
That happened to me when I sold my home and moved to this senior building. I had such mixed feelings that I was almost paralyzed.
I think it at least helps mentally that it's not her own mess. I can believe that constantly deciding where things should go or to trow things away will be extra tiring mentally whe.n it is your own mess. I experience that myself, I am very fast cleaning other peoples messes and stuff, almost compulsive, but going through my own messes is way harder😅
@@ChoiceQueenxoxo Yes, that is true! In Sweden there is an expression, "I'll do deathcleaning"...meaning one takes small steps every Year & check through the stuff what to keep or give away, so it is not that owerwhealming when it's time to move...👍
I’m not if Florida, but in addition to getting in touch with the local authorities to see if anyone needs help, you might want to reach out to Child Protective Services too. They may know of many struggling families who could really use your help. You’re amazing! ❤
I love doing this for people, it’s funny cause I find it so much easier to clean up other peoples spaces than my own, it’s really satisfying knowing you’ve helped change someone’s life, cleaning up a space can do so much for someone
Yeah, ages ago me and a friend were saying how we'd start cleaning each other's places instead of our own, for this exact reason. Never got around to it and lost touch. Still think it was a pretty good idea.
I think it is because we don't have an emotional attachment to their stuff.
Wow! That really is an emergency cleanup and much needed
In Australia, we have an outdoor garbage bin, a recycle bin and a bin for garden/food waste, or FOGO, bin. Some areas don't yet have a FOGO bin in the house so we can put food scraps and even tissues in it. Most of Australia would have the garden waste bin. I take the 10c cans and bottles to my neighbour, who is a pensioner as he could always use the extra money. Fantastic job you and your helper, did! xx
I quite often find myself stuck in functional freeze 😭 I just scroll and scroll but then I get tired of being frozen and get irritated at myself for not doing better. I know I shouldn't be beating myself up about it but just can't help it sometimes. I have the products and time, I just couldn't muster the motivation. Eventually I came to a conclusion.. watching your cleaning videos brings me out of that frozen state 🥳 Thank you Auri for YOU! You've helped so many people in such different ways you truly are a blessing we need in this world ❤
The good you do cannot be measured. I am amazed by the hard work, non judgement and positive approach to horrendous conditions, it is wonderful. It is so good to know that there are people like you in this world with hearts as big as the ocean. Thank you, you are a beautiful human being inside and out❤
Auri, you’re so right. We should all be thankful for our fresh beds and warm showers ❤
Your helping the Landlord, Tenant, their family, and neighbors! Bravo! Wonderful job!
Excited to hear you're coming to the USA! I'm sure there are many folks that need help in Florida. Yes, generally our homes are larger. Some are absolutely, disgustingly massive. However, most of our kitchens and bathrooms aren't the wet rooms you're used to cleaning. You can't just wash, scrape, scrub, and then hose the whole thing down. Wet rooms here, like the bathrooms and kitchens you have in Finland, are considered a high-end luxury.
Some other basic tips:
if you're going to rent a van, be sure it has air conditioning. It's very hot and humid in Florida. I understand that you don't mind bugs, but there are things in some places in Florida (like snakes, even exotics that have been let loose, Iguanas, Alligators, and all kinds of other things you may find there that you don't in the EU. Just saying). Also, not all spiders can just be left alone. If you're here in the "winter" (not like your winter), you'll have to watch for Iguanas falling out of the trees because they're too cold to hold on.
Also, there are fish that crawl across roads in some places to get to a pond with food. Pretty cool to see.
We also have just as many hoarding issues in the US as you do in Finland and elsewhere.
Also, Florida is a huge state. Matter of fact, most of our states are almost the size of some EU countries! For example, it takes an entire day (12+ hours) to drive across some states, like Texas. In half that time, we drove from France, to Geneva, then to Gruyere, back to Geneva for an event, and then back into France. The first time our friends from France came to visit, they were shocked at how big states in the US are. They couldn't believe it took more than 2 hours to drive from the Portland airport to the campsite in Washington state. 2 hours from their home would get you well into Spain or Switzerland.
Pack for hot and humid weather. Also rain. Depending on when you're coming, it may be hurricane season. It's just about over now, but come spring there are storms, and Sept though Nov is hurricane season.
If you have a chance, you must go to an "all you can eat" buffet. It's shocking.
Florida is sub-tropical, so pack bug spray. The mosquitos are enormous. Oh, and pack clear nail polish because everywhere in the southern US has chiggers. (google it)
There are many really fun things to do besides Disney and Epcot. So much rich heritage of all kinds ... Mexican, Cuban, Hattian, Creole, the list goes on. However, don't take a swamp tour without a guide. People have released all kinds of exotic pets into the wild, including very dangerously venomous exotic snakes. Good thing that Dade County has the only comprehensive envenomation 911 resource in the entire US.
I don't at ALL mean to try to scare you, but you need to be prepared because most foreign visitors are woefully unprepared.
You know, when I feel like anxiety and depression is takin over me, I try cleanin my house or I watch your videos even tho I’ve already seen them, I just helps me feel better.. thank you Auri for being such an amazing person. You don’t even know how many lives you save every day
Check with Veteran Affairs in USA. Often Veteran's are disabled and unable to keep their houses/apartments clean.
Aurikatariina to the rescue again. ❤ It is so comforting coming home to a clean house and sleeping under clean bedding. So satisfying. William is living in a studio apartment where the bed is in the living room. Perhaps a hide-a-bed couch would work better.
When I have a depression episode, I may.not have cleaned my home as well as usual, especially in the
bathroom or kitchen, but I never throw food or trash on the floor, tables or counters. Perhaps a 55-gallon trash can would be helpful for these people's homes.
It takes little effort to carry trash bags to the curb for pickup once a week. My fridge is cleaned out once a month to make room for fresh fruits and vegetables.
What I do not do is exercise and that is something I used to do daily, and it made me feel good physically and mentally. I need to force myself to start doing it again even if judt for a walk.
My cats never go without food and clean water daily as well as their litter boxes scooped twice a day. It is not their fault I have anxiety and depressionbissues. When I cry they crawl on me to comfort me. Such good cats.
I wish America recycled more than it does. What a waste of resources. (sigh) America is so wasteful.
It’s not just being able to walk in there, also showering, taking care of himself, eating healthier. These things are difficult when you have depression, I can only imagine how much more difficult it must be for someone in a home like that. You’re giving them a chance of a new beginning 😊❤
Aurikatariina is to the rescue ❤❤❤
This is a very difficult situation. Of course, it's unfair that the landlord doesn't know anything about it. However, what is more unfair and terrible is that some people are left alone in this world with their mental problems. Many are unable to ask anyone for help. It's great that everything ended well here. If you ever come to Poland to help someone, I will be happy to help you! You are an amazing person!
I wish more people are as kind as you. I'm doing a lot better and my house is clean these days because I am happier and also married, but years ago I went through a depressive episode and my house was a mess. (Not as bad as this video but it was still pretty bad) I finally asked for help and reached out and a few friends and my sister came to help. But then I overheard a friend and my sister making fun of me and going through my fridge and laughing at how many expired products there were. It hurt and I had trouble asking for help again after that.
It's heartwarming you are doing all of this with kindness and love, without judging the person who needs help. Offering a discount on therapies to those people makes totally sense, and could even help them more.
Wonderful to hear that your friend was able to help! What a nice woman to give her time and energy. Kudos to both of you.
You are an ANGEL Auri! 😇 By helping this poor man and attending a last minute call, you show the kindness of your heart 🥰❤
Even though you had to change your schedule and didn't have much time, you decided to go to this desperate man's house and help him... you probably SAVED his life, you know?
And I'm not exagerating, a lot of people who get evicted commit suicide after that 😥
Sending you lots of love from Argentina! 🙌🏻🇦🇷

Auri, there are 3 cleaners here in the USA who are a lot like you. If you can find Midwest Magic, Cleaning With Barbie and A Beautiful Mess, they're big fans of yours along with the rest of us.

What a great video! Can I also just say it’s so nice to see others help Auri out, the girl with the green shirt and the AMAZING tattoos was just as diligent as Auri, and I can only imagine how much she appreciates the help of a thorough cleaner. Great job girls 👏🏻
Landlords always appreciate cleanliness, doesn't matter who is doing it. What they don't appreciate is damage to their property. But cleanliness, they adore! ❤
This lady's voice is so comforting, she sounds so positive and it's very satisfying watching her process :)
Her content is so satisfying to watch!
God bless you honey. I'm a grandmother in California. I watched loved ones suffer and still turn down help. Thank you for caring about yourself and others. Praying for your continued success.
I think unless the physical house itself is falling down etc. I think if a house is just a mess it's not the end of the world? Mess can be cleaned up. But let's say if the tenant is knocking down walls or burning carpets... That's different!
Auri, you definitely give me strength while my toddler is so active and usually in destruction mode. When he goes to sleep each night, I watch one of your videos and it always gets me motivated to clean the kitchen, tidy the living room, etc. You've definitely helped me come up with a more methodical way to clean my home. Trashes, dishes, laundry, tidy items, then deep clean! Our home is absolutely never fully clean, but it doesn't ever get too bad now. Thank you for bringing your light and skill and passion to a broad audience so we can all benefit from you!! 🧡🧡🧡 Best of luck in Florida!
There have been quite a few times owners or landlords are coming to inspect properties and urgent help is needed. Also the mess has been hidden from family and friends. I wondered have any of these people ever recognised the property getting cleaned?
May the Lord reward you, for all the good you do, and give you health and strength, to you and your family ❤
I am a disabled mom of a one year old in the USA and oh my gosh I can't keep up with our home. It's not in BAD condition. Tidy, but filthy. Dust, dog hair, smelly home. I'm just too tired and in too much pain. We're also moving in a few months and I have to do a move out clean (Which we can't afford to pay someone to do). I LOVE watching your videos, because they are very motivating to get up and at least do one or two smaller cleaning tasks.
You’re coming to Miami? That’s wonderful! Something you will notice that’s different in addition to larger spaces is lots of carpeting and NO floor drains. Our bathrooms aren’t “wet rooms” that have drains and can be hosed down. (Would be nice if they were!)
Great video!!!
I'm surprised about the carpet! Homes in Florida that I've been in have lots of tile.
@@madbakes86carpet only in bedrooms
I can't imagine not having clean sheets and pillow cases on my bed every week!
Auri, u saved this guy from eviction for sure! Hopefully he doesn't let it get bad again!
I couldn’t image the trash everywhere lol the clutter is making my ocd wanna go clean something 🤣
I get not having rubbish all over the place and having clean clothes but I never know when I should change bed stuff. Mum never taught me that.
I just know to wash food and clothes stuff because they are actively looking and smelling dirty from all day use and spares as immediately available. You just sleep in a bed. Plus things can take 3 days to dry or several runs in a tumble dryer if they're small enough and if I'm washing something that's supposed to be making contact with my skin that night (needs to be the right texture or my brain just mentally bangs pots and pans from the wrongness) I can't not sleep for 4 days XD or I can because it's wrong while I'm waiting for the 'safe stuff' to dry.
I can't just switch to the scratchy and dusty old spares.
Something that is definitely different in American bathrooms is that we don’t typically have full tile or open plans with drains in the floor / hose sprayer to rinse everything off. It would be so nice to have honestly 😅
I agree, how much easier would it be to clean the bathroom? lol.
What a huge difference! You really saved the day! William can stop worrying and everything is fresh for a new start! I hope he works on finishing the bits you didn't have time for and does daily maintenance to keep it clean. For his own sake! It would be a sort of repayment to you as well, honoring what you did for him by holding steady and even improving things! ❤
It’s ok too if he just can’t do it for whatever reason and get help to keep it clean and work on getting unstuck in baby steps
The landlord will find out eventually if the problem goes on. It's not "wrong." Let's hope this help will inspire that person.
Brilliant job Auri!
When you are in Miami you could ask to go on a popular radio station to find people- older people still listen to the radio and I’m sure would appreciate you.
Also churches would know of people:)
That's an amazing idea
Amazing clean up after such short notice, and just in one day too! I hope William can keep the place in order now you've done all that work. He sent you a lovely message so I have a feeling this is a new start for him. I hope the landlord was impressed too!
So beautiful, Auri! Thank you for helping this man in that rather desperate situation. Who knows what might have happened if the apartment hadn't been cleaned up when the owner came😢. I hope this helps him a lot. Not just to get out of a tough situation but in going forward not to allow his living space to become so messy and filled with trash.
Thank you for what you do. While I have never gotten remotely close to this example, my depression loves to manifest in clutter & finding motivation to clean once it gets to a certain point can seem like an impossible task. I completely feel for this client who couldn't bare to ask for help until it was a legit emergency.
Can you imagine how traumatic it would have been for this person to be evicted due to this? I hope that client is doing better, I know how much better I feel when I have a clean & tidy living space after a deep declutter & clean. Each bit of clutter in that room is a weight on our shoulders we just can't bare to remove at times. I hope this individual got to fully enjoy that weight being removed so quickly.
There’s a lot of mold here in florida so make sure you mask up! I’m in SW florida and lots of hoarders down here. I’m curious how Paris goes after the recent bed bug outbreak 😬
I've been off work all week and have been too tired to do any of the housework I was planning. Seeing you do all this in one say has really inspired me to think I can at least get a good chunk done tomorrow before work on Monday! ❤
When I'm off work and at home, I almost never clean as much as I planned; rather, I use the time to relax and recuperate. I prefer to clean after work for an hour, every day another room, when I'm already in the "move".
Just a wonderful story. Your non-judgmental and sincere approach to offering support is heartwarming. Wish all folks had your generous spirit.
You’re actually helping the landlord as well. Nothing unfair about it. Don’t worry!
You are so great. I feel a thousand times better if my house is clean. You are helping these folks so much, good for you. xoxo
Florida homes are larger, many have mold issues, three types of cockroach infestations, spiders (mist are harmless-they’ll make you hurt yourself but they don’t hurt you!), and the occasional snake. Not trying to discourage you, just want you to know ahead of time. I think going to Miami will be great!
watching this video made me cry, just your generosity and your values about how we should always ask for help when we need it and not be afraid. i suffer from depression and anxiety and keeping a clean house is not always easy for me. i have lived in a house like this one before, mess-wise. it was a horrible situation that was on a loop (too depressed to clean, messiness feeds depression, etc). i luckily had people that helped me through it that i could ask for help. thankfully I am in a much better place now. you are such a wonderful person
Thank you for helping people. Some are physically sick, and some are mentally sick, but they all need help.
I think it’s a win for the landlord and a 2nd chance for the tenant. It’s up to the tenant to use the second chance as a fresh start. I hope he gets therapy to help him. VERY NICE JOB!
Amazing job and especially for short notice. I’ve never been a landlord but I would think if I were I’d want to do a walk through and check the property every six months. That way if there are water leaks, repairs that need to be done, they get done before things get worse. It’s also an opportunity to ensure bugs, rodents, trash, etc aren’t becoming a problem. I admire your hard work and compassion for all of those you help❤
in many countries you cannot do it because you have no right to enter other peoples' homes without a good reason. Checking for water leaks is not a good reason.
@@mamimumi7589and in the ones it isn't illegal, it just wouldn't be received super well. Even if you own the place, it is their private space, I don't imagine someone would want their landlord coming around to judge the kink dungeon they've put together in the spare bedroom XD
I think the better thing to do would be to check in every month or two via text or email just asking if things are going okay, being around to build a more personal relationship with tenants where they feel more comfortable reaching out for help, and don't make it seem so dire if the tenant does mess something up, like with mine everything you do has a no tolerance we will fine you/terminate your lease policy and like... who want to tell THEM you messed up?
My apartment does their own mandatory pest control every few months and while there they do an inspection. They only look at the kitchen and living room. They don't go into the bedrooms or bathrooms unless requested by the tenant for pest control there.
If I was a landlord, I would do it that way. Every 4-5 months, just look at the kitchen and living room and that's it.
@@mamimumi7589 it's just not fair because it gives a right to a person like THAT to destroy your property and not be responsible for it
When I rented my landlord did a check every 3 months. They had a tenant in a different house ruin it so they were concerned about all their other properties. Even after being there for years with absolutely no issues they still came around every 12 weeks, and looked in every room. It never felt like my home even though I paid them a lot of money to live there
Since you are looking for homes to clean in Florida… there are a number of men who do extreme yard cleanup/makeovers in Florida. It seems that when yards get so out of control, the inside of homes is also probably out of control as well. It would be really great to join efforts with one of these yard clean up guys. ❤
I'm a new viewer and subscribed as soon as this video ended!
I found it comforting to watch you transform an overwhelmingly messy, dirty space back into the functional home it once was. Your voice is also very warm and kind. Plus, your quirky joy for cleaning gross things is funny and adorable!
Thank you for speaking candidly about your mental health struggles and for not judging people whose mental health deteriorates to the point where their home looks like this. You are such a lovely person to provide help with such dedication and joy--and for free! I wish you all the best.
Have a great time in Florida, and definitely accept advice from your other commenters on this video. They have excellent suggestions for connecting with clients and for staying safe from dangerous critters and high heat/humidity.
My Mother in Law needs a clean. She's in bad shape. Please consider hers. Boca Raton, Fl.
You're an angel. 😇💞
Hi, if you’re watching this this be amazing I just want to say thank you for helping out people. This is so nice and I really love that you are helping other people in their homes. I wish I was like you which I love cleaning and I don’t like a dirtiness, so that would be perfect for me to clean.😊
You are a real blessing & a gift from god. you help their mental illness.
Watching your cleaning videos helps me so much thank you for all you do for so many people 💚
SO RIGHT!!! “We are here to help each other and nobody IS alone” you are an ángel in earth @Aurikatarina thank you so much for being here with us!❤❤❤
You are an angel Auri. Thank you for bringing positivity and healing to a terrible, dark world. ❤
Auri, you are so special! 💗💖💕
Many Americans live like this. Our apartments and homes can be quite large, and we hoard, so it makes for a very challenging ordeal when a loved one needs help. I'm surprised to hear you are not overflowing with requests, but people lose perspective and put up with hell until they are forced into change. Your thoughts on life and dirt are fascinating!🇺🇸🇸🇪💗
I keep watching your videos to try and motivate myself to clean my own house. Seeing this speed up videos makes it looks so easy but the dirt and trash is piling up so quickly all the time. I wish I had your energy and positivity when it comes to cleaning
Hi Auri. You could contact the police but the first responders that will have the most experience with hoarded houses are paramedics, EMTS, and Firemen. They’re the ones often going into the houses and fully seeing the bigger hoarders. They’re often repeat patients due to their health and fire hazards.
I am in this kind of situation with my boyfriend and we are about to start moving in together and I am so scared and anxious! My brain and body needs a clean organized environment and I am worried!
I love katariinas enthusiasm and positivity with cleaning and confidence. You are extremely talented and motivating and I hope I am able to tend to this “new home” in such a positive manner without being overwhelmed
I know a lot of paramedics come across people with dirty homes that are in need of help, you could always give your number to hospitals it help find more people!!!
aww it broke my heart to hear him say he was getting drinking water out of the shower! Bless you Auri!!
I live in Florida but I am in Jacksonville which is a 6 hour drive North- this state is HUGE so I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding dirty homes. Be careful though- we have really big roaches here
Hey love I live in Florida I’m a nurse, I bet if you go to a home health nursing agency they can direct to the best dirty homes, there are elderly that definitely need it!
If I had an apartment complex in Finland, I’d definitely be watching your channel.
Great job Auri, glad your fellow cleaner came to help. I used to be a horrible housekeeper until I had children then I became Susie Homemaker. I can tell when I get depressed because my house reflects it but cleaning brings my mood up. Thank you.
Another great transformation! And happy that you get to travel! Florida is a beautiful state, I have visited there. I live in Texas - and yes homes are much different in the U.S.!
Bathrooms are different, usually not a drain in floors. Laundry rooms are separate rooms. Beds are different too! We have thicker mattresses…
Be safe!❤️
From texas as well i love her videos
It's exciting that you will be cleaning in the US! Be well aware that our homes are much larger than ones you typically clean. Even regular apartments are larger, let alone the houses. Make sure you leave enough time!
Also, recycling isn't free in a lot of places in the US. When you do recycle, everything must be clean and dry.
Lastly, Miami has a lot of rough neighborhoods. Please be sure to check online or with local police to make sure you're not putting yourself at unnecessary risk.
