Or even B series. It's your car mate so do what you want with it. My DC2-R was B18C engine with B18C6 head. B18C block was built by myself with wiseco forged pistons and eagle forged rods. ARP headstuds. Then had an inline pro turbo manifold with t3/t04e 57 trim turbocharger on low boost, 9psi. Mapped by Will at Race Dyno Tuning. I did several trackdays with it and it made an excellent road car, so smooth with no problems on the straights. I ended up selling the block to fund a house move and putting the car back to standard. I still have the turbo stuff on a shelf in the garage. I might have to resurrect it at some point.
Had 3 jdm dc2s myself and I love them. I understand the love for a b18 ( I even turbod my 2nd dc2 ) they are great...but the k20/k24 is just better. More torque,better gearing. As for a k24 frank well with the right cams they can sit comfortably at 300hp without going mental. For a drivers car in a light fwd honda they start to lose traction once u go much past 300hp. ( my turbo dc2 was 320hp and I had a supercharged dc5 at 320hp and currently own a 340hp supercharged fn2 ). Keep it at around 300hp and they are absolute beasts on the road and track...after that it's just a straight line car and u already have the dc5 for that 😂

I'm a firm believer in keeping type R Hondas the way they came and do mods to whatever motor they came with 😅 but that k24 is gonna be wild in that thing bro. If you really wanna experience the fully NA potential, you gotta go for 300+ hp, you wouldn't wanna turbo it 😂 you need a build high compression bottom end to achieve that tho but i guarantee it will be more fun than putting boost on that thing. 320-330hp will be insane and the car will still be fully streetable. Looking forward to this build bro.

DA6 came with b16a originally 👌, b20 high compression build would be amazing in dc2. Buckets of torque and different. I built one last year for eg3 and made 250bhp with just a b18c head and parts

I saw a video of DC2R that was turboed, that would be as far as I would personally go. I would get a GSR and put a bigger engine, etc. in it. I imagine there is a 4 wheel drive in its future to handle the power once N/A possibilities have been maxed out?

Cracks me up when I see the argument “leave the B series, vtec crossover is so much better” That’s literal rice. When you tune a vtec equipped car, you lower the vtec for a smoother crossover. You’re going backwards if you want vtec to crack at 6k 😂 and want a huge drastic kick or crossover. More torque, more power under the curve, more power everywhere really. K > B
So many haters about going K, why would you stay N/A bseries and B slow, K is the way, spend like 10k on the B series and it will still be less power then a stock k20 hahahahaha. Also those da6 XSi integra's the 89-91 model came out with the 160hp b16a then the 92 model came out with the b16a2 170hp, my friend used to have a 92 gen2 da6 XSi but then sold it to another friend and he crashed it, we had a ton of these back in the day here in new zealand, theres still quite a few around tho but not as much as back in the day. They also came out in a 4dr version which was the da8 XSi.
Leave the b series in and awd it or a h series and awd you already have e awd integra k series just saying dc2 are better than dc5 in my opinion the best 👌🏾

The DA6 Integra xsi was the first car Honda fitted a VTEC engine into. Its where it all started .. They came with B16A 170bhp and optional LSD.

DA6 came with B series 1.6, same as the engine that came in the Crx Sirs etc... cable clutch etc.
Kids don’t know the daddy of all VTEC’s, the DA6 was the first Honda to have a VTEC engine.

You should go 4.7 final drive rather than a 5.1. The 5.1 is a bit too short and the 4.7 will give a better driving experience
