3rd person view to show us the body position is a must for these type of videos.

I bought a conversion kit from CNC Topyokes, a great kit and very happy with it but I had the same problem, one month delivery time and a part was missing. It took another month to get the missing part and the communication was the biggest problem, e-mail replies were just three or four words with no explanations..... Not a nice buyer experience but I'm happy that it worked out okay in the end. Thanks for your video.

Oh shit! I've just bought a conversion kit. They posted it at 25 days ago. I still waiting, no respond on my emails or just few words. 😪

Looks like a mission - I had a SV650 in 2012 standard bars - rode it to Poland and back with camping gear - while my pal was on a Transalp, 400 mile per day oooggghhhff. Yup, I suffered. Mates often say bring yer bike round well get bars done in an afternoon - now I know what's really involved - well done..

What i find funny is when i started ridding in the 70's we were all doing the opposite dropping our bars as much as we could lol.

Haaaa yeah..!! I had a GP100 in 87 n put on stupidly low bars - alright for riding around Scarborough. Wouldn't wanna ride to Mugello with drop bars :)

@@petrovski1948 Pretty much the same here except I am not ancient;-) I put clip-ons and rearsets on a norbsa chop and was laughed at, not sure way I am watching as I would make my own risers or yokes; just remembered why I was watching I wondered if the trail was changed for straight bars, suzuki put different yokes on naked SVs.

Great little video, just picked up a Sv650s 1999 model to restore, to old to be hunched over the tank, was thinking of risers and came across your video, definitely the way forward for me.

Just bought same bike, same colour, one of the last made, 2016 reg.
Done 100 mile country jaunt on it - well pleased with it, espcly how well it handles - which I feel may be a product of how low the seat and bars are, and centre of gravity (I only weigh 70kg). So I wldnt dream of raising the bars! Watched video just to familiarise myself with the bike more.
Fantastic vlog - brilliant narrative - and very instructive indeed. Really enjoyed. :)

Thanks for the video! I'm considering ordering this kit over the LSL kit for us Americans. Not only is the Topyoke cheaper, but it comes in black!

I’ve just bought a sv650 and I’m finding the position painful after 70/80 miles - I will be tempted to change the bars but don’t have the skills…..just have to find an expert near Reading!

Nice job, apart from drilling the bars instead of grinding the tabs off. Renthal recommend you don't drill them as it weakens the bars and it being an aluminium alloy means it may crack and break with it flexing over time. Steel as a material is much more forgiving with that kind of thing.

You dont need no longer throttle cable for this conversion. I did it myself. I mean you can clearly see in the end that the cables are far too long, dont you?

I bought one of these kits from CNC. When I came to fit it a part was missing. So I tried to contact CNC with great difficulty. When I managed to contact them they were in Florida. And I received a snotty text message. Which I replied with anger. This then went on back an forward for some time. In the end I had one machine made by someone else. I'll never recommend CNC to anyone. My 2000 SV650 is nearly complete and will put a video one U tube.

He has cheated a lot of people, incl. me and still do. Never got the top yoke I ordred for my Triumph and it took ages for him to refund my money. He just tells lie after lie to try to cover his absolute imcompetance of how he tries to run his business. He import lots of his yokes from US and just stamped them with CNC logos, to look like he made them himself. The guy who anodising the yokes to black, is a totally nutcase and swear more like a skinny lady on crack.

Hi Yammy xj600, I really liked the videos you made about restoring the TDM850. I also used them some time ago to do some tinkering on mine. Now I wanted to revisit them but they´ve gone. That´s a shame. Is there a chance you will put them up again ? Especially the ones about the carbs ... Have a great 2018 !

@YammyXJ600 Hi! tried to sent you an email about the TDM Restoration videos.
I watch some months ago really great videos about a TDM 850 Restoration that are now gone from RUclips. By searching for the publisher on Google I got to your Profile, so I was wondering if they where actually your videos...if so could you please put them back on RUclips? It would be great because I wanted to start a Restoration too :)
    Thanks a lot!

Ordered mine 18th of jan, had an email on the 23rd saying it’d be sent that week.... got the kit on the 17th of Feb after sending 3 emails with no response and getting told he had broken his collar bone and wasn’t there to get me an answer when I texted him, when I asked why it has taken so long when I was told it would be sent 3 weeks before, he told me he was going into the hospital and couldn’t reply... apparently that meant ever again....

    • @stevegroom5286

Liam - Bollocks I had ordered one for my Sv. When I actually received them three months later. I was having work done on my bike. So let the bike shop fit it ONLY to be told there was a spacer missing so couldn't finish it. Phoned CNC had a massive argument with him. I told him I will tell as many people as I can how bad they really are. Wot a tossa.

    • @Liam_Bollocks
      @Liam_Bollocks 6 лет назад

Steve Groom are you the one that wrote the google review? Saw one that said pretty much exactly that 😂 I waited nearly 2 months, kept getting told they were sending it out this week blah blah, when I finally got them I wrote a massive text out saying how happy I was with the finish but not to lie to customers, we’ll all appreciate being told the truth more than being lied to, response I got was “at least you’ve got it now”

So the lesson here is, DONT BUY FROM CNC TOP YOKES. They seem a crap company. Where is the Clutch cable and Choke cable? If you have gone as far as you did, then you need them to do the job properly.
