I've been using the regular angstrum for so long now. It's fun, but... It's so easy to die from it.
Doing invasions and someone walks in front of you; something running up to you, say chargers; the rockets reflecting off eximus units with those 'freeze aura' around them or reflecting off nullifiers.
Combine this with Zephyr and u basically u have a Pharah
or just use it on Free Roam missions while on Archwing lol
But why use Angstrum when the Zakti has no self-damage?

I have a Riven for this thing! I totally agree I have the normal version and I've killed myself a lot. But I still love the weapon. Now that I know there is a prisma version I'll save the forma to build that thing up instead

Honestly it might just be luck but I've gotten good with the Angstrum and never really clip myself with it anymore, even though it's my most used secondary.
I have a ridiculous riven for it that adds damage and a load of crit, and I'm doing like over 100k damage on a full charge. Even without crit, 6 rockets is all it takes to kill a level 100 corrupted bombard eximus.
It's really good for one-tapping a crowd in an Archwing over the Plains.
My Prisma Angstrum has 2 settings; 72k blast carpet bomber which at full charge can shoot as many as 15 rockets at once, and a 20/20/20k blast/corrosive/radiation carpet bomber with a 100% status chance that consistently shoots 12 rockets on full charge. All it takes is a floaty Zephyr on PoE(or just sitting in your archwing) or an invisible wall clinger Loki make the Prisma Angstrum crazy fun.
I really like this weapon. It's sad that the more I wanted to invest into it, the more I just kept getting frustrated.
The recent buffs didn't even help at all. Especially due to the ammunitions nerfed, which I still don't understand why they even had to do at all.
I can barely take it into sorties without feeling more stupid anymore...

nope it is quite fun to block him and you only need to block 2 of the projectiles to kill most frames
mine is very deadly, since it has just under 400% dmg, but adds about 160% crit dmg. it sucks tho because it reduces the projectile speed by 60%

this weapon is my absolute favorite secondary, for those mabye interested in messing with it i would advise getting a riven with increased projectile flight speed as this dramatically reduces the spread and turns it into an explosive pseudo sniper rifle of sorts that being said i have a second riven in which I went full crit and damage and adding all my corrosive/blast and heat damage comes up to about 87k dmg with an 87% crit rate and a 92% status chance, nothing i shoot with this ever gets back up again (almost always use this with saryn spores or a mag bubble behind it to be fair tho)

nah try it with a Riven for total dmgof : 70754 corrosive, 22370 cold and 24856 blast with 99,6% status chance and the Inaros is out of the race for frames that can survive.

I would recommend this weapon for the plains. I think its perfect for the wide open areas and for me the staticor projectiles dont travel fast enough
Use this in the Plains with Zephyr or Mirage. I only use this weapon for groups, it's not a primary after all.
I 'member when the Angstrum was good. It became my primary weapon for quite a while because of how much ammo it carried and the damage it could do. It was ridiculous on old ODD missions where you could get up high continually nuke Infested mobs.
This is one of the best damage dealing weapon

Could you do a build on the Afuris? I love the guns, but am having a bit of trouble making a solid build.
As much as I love your videos I'd take a week off whilst there is nothing happening in warframe, its easy to burn out when its this dead. have a holiday, you deserve it bro!
if you going to use this my advice 1: do it from higher ground so your shooting down at the enemy 2: aim dead straight if you cant get higher ground using the spread out multi-shot can be a advantage if you try carpet bombing a group
Its good for the pains if your flaying in ark wing and there is a bunch of greener next to each other witch happens alot

Kulstar, baby. With the Fulmination mod to boot.
If you're gonna blow yourself up when you pull the trigger, you gotta make the explosions big.
I'm one of those people who built this for 100 status electric viral blast and like it more then the kulstar, but thats coming from someone who still likes the ogris more then the tonkor or zarr(even though i built that weapon with 3 forma and stupid amounts of dmg and is fun).
i just pulled at 345% Damage riven for this gun, think I should give it a shot?
I have a riven for it with 220% multishot 90% firerate and -66 reload speed. I use it with my normal angstrum (haven't been able to get the prisma because of RL) and i use that mod that adds accuracy just for the lols. But the reload is like 4 seconds that i spend laughing like a maniac.

Weapon would be great if not for that spread. And as soon as i got used to that the weapons pass came and for no reason DE nefred the max ammo the weapon could hold. Depite the 10,000 corrosive and 16,000 blast the weapon can muster, you will struggle to kill heavy units with this thing once enemy levels go above 100. I just cant find a use for it and it makes me sad i used the catalyst and forma on it in the first place.

I use it with a bubble Frost or a wall Gara since splash damage can't penetrate.
I got a riven when combined with a full build gives it 80 % crit chance, x5.0 dmg and 30,000 blast and 70,000 corrosive base. No joke
Use this with a self damage Chroma. We use chroma and nidus link on Tridolons and 1 shot all the parts.

See, this is why I love Pheonix Renewal Oberon. The guy can point blank himself with any explosive as a "Get the hell off me!" move. At least... once per 90 seconds, but if you are skilled enough and know the weapons you're using inside and out. Broberon just doesn't die to explosives. It's weird.
So, main the Zarr and secondary Angstrum, gotcha ;)

So, Kulstar or Angstrum? Heh, I am patiently waiting for an Angstrum riven. I already have a multishot/damage one for the Kulstar. And I love it. As a normal secondary, meh. But as a situational weapon, hell yes. Slova on Heiracon, or on the plains go into AW mode and carpet bomb the entire area.... really any map with decent open areas. Its good on closed maps as well, but very dangerous.
I have +heat +toxin +damage but negative ammo cap riven for it. It's great, especially at killing myself

I am usally done with my explosive toys after one mission, it`s this constant tension and awarness running around with a Ogris, Angstrum etc. for average "performance" at best.
So you`d think "well, that`s eeeeeasy, just remove self damage finally" but then again I don`t want to life through another age-of-tonkor or Simulor if I am honest!
These types of weapons are unfortunately stuck with average damage and self-damage I guess?
Atomos with blast best crowd controll for infested or a group of enemy's( cant find cheese emote)
use it as an instant way to maximize chroma's buff
use max rank magnum force and this weapon will shoout enemies that are behind you :D
Take all multishot mods off it and shoot it uncharged. Use Quickdraw of course. Makes for a very nice single shot aoe pistol. Takes lots of the danger and ammo issues away and is very powerful even without a riven, but especially so with CC/dmg riven. RP Han Solo.

We need a blast shield mod for the warframes....
This is why they need to remove, or AT LEAST REDUCE splash damage. This is the single reason i dont use explosive weapons - a corpse will fly into the projectile and you are D-E-A-D, DEAD.
I mean, you are a god damn space ninja, and you are so weak to your own weapons you can oneshot yourself, while you can shoot your teammates all day and it does literally nothing? Come on, DE. Just remove splash damage.

My favorite is when you use the Zarr and your "teammates" constantly run in front of you (or through you) in an effort to steal kills for whatever reason and you end up shooting them in the back and blow yourself up.

As they say though, Yarr, Arr, Fire the Zarr, blow up ye'r arse and then drink at the bar...
I don't think self-damage should be removed ENTIRELY, but I do think it needs to be slashed significantly. One idea I had a few months ago was that self-damage on weapons would be calculated based off of its unmodded stats.

my most play secondary xD i use it with a max range nidus in the plain so i cant kill myself xD and i can be like a bombard when im flying
Even at rank 5 it killed me more than the enemies in sortie, so is just MR fodder and too happy to get rid of it.

DE's never going to learn it though because that would mean reverting the tonkor changes and they're stubborn as shit about everything

If only the devs buff the accuracy of the angstrum it wouldn't be as much of a risk to yourself compared to your target.
So, an Angstrum Riven with Damage (300-ish%) and Heat damage is probably a "no-no"? Because it sounds really fun to be honest.
i have one with 200% multishot and 364% dmg so, yep, its insanely fun except in every ship tileset (and if you are using mirage, well, each pull of the trigger is a gamble)

The angstum and kulstar are such silly weapons. They can be frustrating to use outside of open maps. I do enjoy aim glide bombing runs in a quick frame (helps dodge stray shots too).

Every time I turn a puzzle piece too far, I've been spamming right-click to turn them all the way around again. AARGH.

Explosives and self damage in this game really piss me off, not the fact that it can happen, but how EASY it is, anything that can reliably one shot level 40-50 normal mobs, will also one shot pretty much any warframe..
1,300 wouldn't kill a normal frame 🤔🤔🤔 my Volt could survive that without it even going through my shields.

It was just a mastery fodder...
Of course it does little damage to lvl 100 enemies, you're not using a crit build because you can't aim and one shot your lazy Inaros tank. But yeah I agree that self damage is absurd in this game, they should reduce it to a negligible amount or just remove it.
They should reduce is only for the Angstrum, and not too much. Completely removing it removes one of the many dynamics that makes Warframe combat so great.
