This was an intentional move on Amazon's part, because even if its negative reviews it's still reviews and is basically free advertising for their product, not to mention some might purchase Alexa to experience the laugh for themselves. Sadly people rather believe the "evil machine becoming self aware and wants to kill them" story.

I still love Alexa. You can do so many things with her. You can turn off lights, and order pizzas. Buy stuff, and set timers. And you dont have to pull out your phone everytime like you do with siri. Alexa can be installed in many places and you can just say her name and do handy things.

Mine laughed and told me cemeteries at 3am and I just did the usual and chucked out the window, ran it over 7 times, caught an early train, threw the Alexa in the tracks while the train ran it over, bring it back home, throw lighter fluid in it, and light it on fire while fireworks blew it up.
