- Street vendors on Fordham Road in the Bronx are dealing with authorities shutting them down and giving them summonses because they don’t have the required permits.

There is no way to get a permit right now and they know NYC will never try to collect those fines so they keep popping up across the city.

I visited New York City in 2019, enjoying the restaurants, theaters, and tourist attractions. You couldn't pay me to travel there today...it's going down hill pretty fast.😢

These vendors set up all sort of businesses on the sidewalk. you see over three vendors on a single corner and another bunch across the street. This situation is getting out of hand because they can't work without a work authorization card or green card.

I’ve been a vendor for 40 years and there are rules! Imagine selling food and not being sanitary and you can kill somebody with food poisoning! Street vendor organizers are not being truthful and you must have a license from the city and most are given to veterans! The rules are the rules

Maybe because there are already too many and it is taking business away from people who pay rent , taxes, utilities etc. Soon all the storefronts will be empty and we will have only street vendors because that is the only way to compete with the illegal circus.
