I saw him in 1970 in Chapel Hill Jubilee Weekend. I was sitting right below him on stage. I had started listening to his music in 1969 and turned my boyfriend onto him before this great concert. He loved Chapel Hill.

This is the first time I’ve heard Father and Son play together, very beautiful, very moving. When I look at Ben Taylor I see a fine mix of his Mom(Carly Simon ) and his Dad (James Taylor) in his looks. He sounds a lot like his Dad, but he does have his own unique sound. Very nice!🥰

It's like watching twins, they are so similar in playing and voice that it is wonderful and touching to see. The fact that they are father and son makes it even more special. How great it is... A lot of older musicians loose their voice to sing but James sounds exactly the same, maybe it is the style of music but I don't think so, I think he is just gifted.

Being from the South, we hold this song close to or hearts. When I hear it, memories of listening to the radio fill my mind. Sometimes the memories were so vivid I could hear the songs audibly. I remember the sweetness and sense of freedom and security it brought to mind. They even played it in the Safeway store. The same store where i first learned Elvis Pressley had suddenly died.
We can not separate music from who we are. Each loved song is an emotional building block which made me the thinking man I am today. Each one represents a different aspect of I am. Music has meaning...perhaps more to us than we can ever realize.
Thank you Ben. I won't say you have big shoes to fill. You out do most filling your own.

They each play strings and sing, and are very good.
It was a Christmas program at the church, and we lit it up.

Life has always been an obstacle.

Wow what two better singer song-writers to learn music from. Almost makes me cry. The sadness of divorce still brings great blessings. It's so beautiful Io see the pain finally melt away from people and to get to this point where they can feel the beauty .of what their marriage created. Forget the bad and sad parts of life and allow the beauty of life to continue without allowing the bitterness many seem to hang on to drag you constantly down. It's beautiful to see the power of beautiful music and the attitudes that aging finally gifts us. Life will always give us bitter and sweet. Try to be positive and to look far past the bitter. Love and the Goodness of life will ALWAYS overcome if we will allow it to. Thank you James Taylor for the beauty of your music and your voice. Your music has been a great influence in my life and was such a positive influence on my taking up guitar long ago. I have never regretted the decision, it kept me out of trouble and gave me so much more than I can truly say. Thank you for writing and singing positive, uplifting music. You yourself, and now your posterity are a gift to human-kind. Please don't bring people down with all the political jargon that is ruining society now days. It is great just to delve into the comfort of your music, let's please leave it that way!
