I can’t believe I was there. I’m 34 now. Savored every moment of Trey being on stage then but in this era, wow. Trey was at a playground in this show, both having fun making the crescendos high as high could be, trading licks with Tim R, and also laughing at Dave IRL like, “This is the real Dave Matthews. THIS IS REALLY DAVE!” While Dave was unphased and just kept being Dave. Loved this show so much. Thank you for uploading!
By the way-I actually remember this. At 3:06:00 when Trey leads into the “chorus” of Bathtub Gin, many people in the crowd were singing it. Lots of people were there to see Trey and were bigger Phish fans than Dave fans. Trey kept playing on Dave’s ego all night. When this happened and you could hear the Bathtub Gin chorus echoing throughout the arena, Trey kept laughing and looking at Dave, who just kept rolling his eyes like, “Okay, we get it, you have a lot of fans here.” And Trey: laugh, laugh, humble, humble. Weird mix! But totally unforgettable and the ending of this show kind of really demonstrates.... Something about love. A lot of it. It was a great show.
This tour took place during such a special time in my life and I was fortunate to see two shows in the winter and their legendary 2004 bonnaroo show. I've been wanting them to reunite for another tour but nothing will come close - the 06 shows were flat.
My brother and I went to this show. We had seats behind the stage. It just felt like they kept playing and playing. This is one of my favorite shows I've ever been to.

My brother and I were at this show. I was dissapointed when we got tickets behind the stage. It actually was a pretty neat experience seeing a show from back there. Great show and was a ton of music. 3+ hours on this video and that doesn't include the Emmylou set!
As both phish and dave fan, bums me out to see the majority of the crowd up front not knowing how to enjoy some jams. happened to us this summer at saratoga, crowd was stiff AF
