One of my favorite shows I attended as a fan. Band at its PEAK. This show is all about ENERGY, which defined this band at its best. The work done by Roi on Grey Street and Crush are a testament to his presence as THE catalyst of DMB. Miss ya Roi!
Dave has spoken about them almost breaking up in 04 and 05. Although they arguably played some of the best music of their career in these years, you can definitely see the fatigue and stresses of being a band on their faces. They have given us everything they could possibly give and, for that, I am forever grateful. 🤘
You can hear it. Roi on 7.2.04, his solos had such passion in them. Emotional times can lead to incredible art. So thankful they kept it together to bring us such joy.
2:22:52 Capo on good good time means Dave called an audible before the encore. Cheers to the greatness of this band to roll with it, having a good time that night.
I've listened to every Good Good Time from this tour. The version from this show in my opinion is the very best Good Good Time they have ever performed.
@@Dubmajicks it was just as crazy then. It's just that people are more aware of it now. Remember 2004. WMDs, Abu Gharib, Killdozer... The world was going just as crazy as today. But I agree. The DMB was much better in the years before LeRoi passed.
great year. My most intimate times with this band were from 04-07 hands down. The band was on fire. Butch Taylor to me was a key member of this band's live performances.
I remember seeing these guys play in 04, first at the Gorge, then SF. Best shows I ever saw. This is bringing back the memories. Thanks for the upload!
Went to 1 in 98 at 10 years old dad said a few more years. Went in 03 Haven’t missed at least one show a tour since. What a ride such incredible memories. So much fun 🤙🏻
1:20:15 Raise your hand if you have psychedelic flashbacks from this when they (Fenton) busted this out. Hot out, new song, dMb killin it, being swept up by the nuances. If you were sober it probably had the same effect.
Buddy Strong is great for songs few like Everyday and Angel and gospel like tunes and that is what is called a one trick pony Butch Taylor is a masterclass like Ben Folds or Elton John or Bruce Hornsby and Paige McConnell of Phish those men are PIANISTS Buddy is JUST a gospel singer IMHO
ive seen Dave 2x since Boyd was fired and Buddy was added 2018 w my sister and 2021 by myself because of Covid in the best seats ever Pit Played The Stone my sisters favorite tune that was nice and Everyday was great but Buddy the force is NOT so Strong w that one
For me, it’s the best Good Good Time there is.
You know the band isn't getting along when the Carter Concert Smile Count is in single digits.
Wow great point

you are right the Joy was definitely gone from their faces temporarily thankfully only

Any chance you can remember any articles or videos where he talks about this period? Curious to hear more.
No, that was in 06 and 07
Amazing show. Thank you
Killer show! Thanks again Chester Copperpot!

7:45 is the reason that Carter is the greatest drummer who’s ever lived.
Man I miss Roi his sound is unmatched. First show at the gorge in 03 been rocking ever since. Bout to take my 13th trip to the gorge this summer.

Jimi Thing is unbelievable too.
I just listened to Good Good Time again, besides being there for this. It really is so good.
"Chet" and "Taylor" Dave are the best Dave.
The best Seek Up performances were in 2004 by far. Dave's voice was at it's finest this year and the whole band was on absolute fire this whole tour.
You probably aren't wrong. What a Seek Up.
This is truly remarkable. Reminds me of a simpler time. I still remember racing to get my spot on the lawn for this show.
❤i love the way your legs work Dave you know oh and the way you shaved
Thank You, everything you do is super PRO. You rock Copperpot
He’s the best there is!
Agreed! Thx Brah!!!!
Agreed. Thank you Jason. Lol sorry I leave 500 comments on your channel. It's just that good.
My 9th show! ❤️
Take me back to this epic period. 04 was great
the good old days right? specially compared to the bullshit were having to deal with now on a daily basis.
Amazing... I was at this show

@@briangurka8085 Let's be real though, Listener Supported was pure sex. Even though the first time I heard it, I hadn't had that yet! Hahaha

I'm not sure I've thanked you before. Thank you! Goonies never die!!
My 5th DMB show! The boys still in there prime 🔥🔥👏🏻👏🏻
I was second row for this show, holy crap I haven't listened to this in a long time.
2004 was my first year seeing the band live. Haven’t missed a touring year since. Thanks for these uploads!
It was 2003 for my wife and I. This video takes me back to a great time in the band, with Butch and a "new but established" sound.

Thanks Copperpot!
Thank you for sharing this!!! I was about to log off my computer when I saw the notice.. Not logging off now!!!!
Thanks for all you do for the DMB fans! This will go great with my Sunday morning coffee.
Exactly what I’m doing right now. Drinking coffee and watching this ☕️
I've got chills. This was my very first show. '04 was quite a unique year for these guys. Haunting, phenomenal performance.
Thank you great sir!
All time skat on Jimi Thing. Thanks for uploading as always copperpot!

23:25 When the entire crowd sings "falling" is always a moment.
Nice!

Boyd loves to show off that 8 pack for sure he is the best built man in the band or was now it would have to be Buddy Strong
❤😊❤
Ho go you get that stuff?!? Awesome
This set is so ridiculous.
Hey Copperpot, any chance you have the Washington D.C. MCI center show from 12/22/2002?
MAYBE the best version of Seek Up since Live @ Red Rocks!
ooo what was that last song he performed? i really liked that song, I have never heard that one before, can someone please tell me the name?
Tripping Billies
17:03 og arrangement of DIDO is prime DMB
I forgot about that!👍💖🎶
Brave bad place

Bruce Hornsby. Oh man.👍💖🎶
what is the over /under on anyone from the band watching this?
0%
0.0 but fun to think it’s possible :)
0.5 and I'll take the over (you know Boyd wants to relive these days)!
Jeff Coffin has commented on Copperpot Videos before.
@@seahawksanders Boyd was the right sound at the right time. Hope He is well.
Roi rips this Foot to Think outro
roi went to dan flashes
They play Sugar Will all through 2004-06 then the Groogrux King dies of complications due to diabetes that is called foreshadowing
