I've never understood how people didn't know what beware of the 6 meant, have they just never played the campaign? It was always clear to me that it was talking about the zombies with nova 6 in em
At 13:24 , I remember years and years ago we had like a video game elective, and the dude teaching or showing it was someone who worked on zombies, and me being the zombies nerd I was back then, I remember asking him what the knocking noise was, he looked surprised that I knew about that, but just only replied “it’s the scientist”.
I heard that the zombies dodge your reticle because they used to be soldiers and it’s like their muscle memory, and I’m pretty sure the zombies wearing the lab coats don’t do that.
Another Detail about the zombies too at least from what I noticed! If you play maps like Shi no Numa and Ascension and another map which I forgot, when the zombies become undead and the brain is practically the only thing functioning, It resorts them to doing the things they were fused into doing. For example going onto Shi No Numa the Japanese "fast walking" to you look like theyre charging you with a rifle with a bayonet on there like they're doing their "Banzai" Maneuver or the zombies in Ascension the soldiers were trained to do combat maneuvers to which they were fused with it already. So when the zombies turned undead they move similar to how they were all trained.
What I get from this is Dempsey- Is annoyed by Nikolai but sorta enjoys him respects takeo hates Richthofen Nikolai- Likes Dempsey Hates takeo finds Richthofen strange Takeo- does not like Dempsey hates Nikolai And respect’s Richthofen Richthofen-hates Dempsey Enjoys Nikolai and likes Takeo
Never heard the quotes of Romero realizing what he has done and also Dempsey trying to get richtophen to get his finger out of his ass and Nikolai headbutting the door was just gold. Iv missed a lot despite playing zombies since the start lol

@@estns2992 It makes sense, I don't know if there's a radio that confirms it, but at least in WAW and BO1, when the Zombies where German soldiers you would see them marching when they approach you and well in Ascension most zombies are Russian soldiers and well they dodge and avoid on coming fire like they were trained in life. But this was only spotted in early zombies and it may be a reference to George Romero type zombies which play a lot with the fact that zombies used to be people and that they may remember what they used to do.
@@estns2992 I believe it’s seen in kino where you can see zombies marching, shang they hold their hands out in a martial arts fashion and on ascension they dodge bullets
@@BumBobBoi actually yeah I’ve noticed h the marching never noticed anything significant on shangri la, someone should def make a video on that I can’t seem to find anything about it on RUclips.
Great video. I remember all the weird speculation and theories being thrown around when Kino was big. So many people were CONVINCED on weird theories like the box glitch, upgradeable grenades, or the model in Sam's room being Der Riese.
Hearing Nikolai freak out over being sober made me laugh so hard back in the day, I remember it made me so distracted that I got bonked by George while my friends tried to get my attention.
So for the mannequin bleeding when you shoot it, later on in the timeline the dude who turned into the electric man from transit discovered a way to put souls into mannequins and robots as seen in the black ops 4 version of nuketown zombies. This could be a nod to that or timeline manipulation shenanigans which wouldn’t surprise me
I miss the old story for zombies, with ties to the real world and conspiracy theories and ties to secret government research and all that cryptic stuff
Yeah it lost me the more they played into MCU level disaster of a plot. Actually it’s got the same problem as the MCU. The bigger the scale got the more the quality dropped. Like I love Iron Man 1 and 2 the same way I love WaW zombies
wait i just realised that the dentist's room is the QR spawn room in Verruckt, but not destroyed. the doors are in the same spots and so are the windows and counters
I always loved these waw & bo1 nazi themed maps the most for what they give me in aesthetics and sound and the lore. How the germans would find 115 and immedietly use it for war tech, which is exactly what the germans would have done back then and how it all evolves into Richtofen doing what he does I just love it🔥 Zombies are botched experiments on humans not some alien inflicted type of bs that we got in the end. Change my mind
I recently started replaying Bo4 zombies and found it amusing some of the dialog some characters have depending on the situation. Had a good laugh about Marlton talking about the way the zombies are dressed in Tag Der Toten saying they "aren't very politically correct, even for the reanimated" (or something along those lines) since they're dressed like Nazis
I remember thinking that in kino the automatic gun trap where speed cola is, I used to think that there was a dragon that would attack and you would use that gun to try and kill it.
Personally the only zombies story that even matters to me is WaW and BO1. There was fun in the other games for sure but those first 2 were something else. Everything was perfect.
In my opinion if you DON’T kill the pig then you’re going to hell. Poor guy was tied up, subjected to who knows how many tests, left to die and surrounded by creatures that will eat you alive. Put the thing out of its misery and don’t prolong the suffering.
There's an easter egg on Kino that I've only seen one video of online. If you hang around near the barrier next to the MP40 for a while (like several minutes) you can hear screaming. It's just another random sound coming from an inaccessible part of the map, but for some reason it takes way longer to activate.
@@cla_6 there’s not enough content to qualify for that conversation, but is still very nostalgic so it could be in that convo just not the best map of all time.
I just learned that Beware of the 6 was meant for Nova 6. All my life I thought of round 6, and would get angry when hellhounds spawn in earlier or later
You could have included something for shang I don't see many people talk about. After you complete the easter egg if you game over, richtofen has a special quote that plays over the game over screen that everyone can hear. I can't remember the exact quote because it's been awhile but I think he says something about his grand scheme working and then he does an evil laugh.
Hi, german speaker here. Just wanted to correct you about the Bismark poster. So the word "Die" actually does not mean die (as a person can die) it is a german article. It basically means "the". I know it's confusing because of the same writing. So the whole sentence translates to: The Bismark. Fun fact: the poster is made in a specific style (font, position of the ship and figures). This was often used for propaganda posters advertising the german airforce, infantry and tank force back in WW2. It's a very nice detail
I think the letters saying "Manhattan Down" could refer to the city having been overrun by the zombies sometime before Kino Edit: the Paris reason is wrong. They changed it due to MW3 featuring Paris and Activison didn’t want that, same reason WW2s Boat map had additional locations because Bo4 had Voyage and they didn’t want 2 boat maps back to back
Looking back on all this Black Ops 1 stuff makes me so sad and nostalgic because I really miss when zombies was grounded in conspiracy theories, government Shadow organizations, the Illuminati and so on. Cults and so on. Seeing how each government experimented with Nazi technology and a mysterious and rare Element. Whether it's the horrors under the Pentagon or the Soviets cosmodrome. The creepy ambient piano music in the background. Wondering what the state of the world was like and all the subtle little notes or brick Easter eggs and radios. Trying to piece together the story instead of RUclipsrs and game developers explaining it an hour-long videos before the map is even released. I kind of lost interest when governments and Shadow organizations stopped being the villain. The post-mortem villain anyway, since they were killed by their own failures and we would have to deal with it. Instead of getting replaced by generic evil aliens who were apparently behind everything all along. In favor of Jason's obsession with Lovecraft, occult stuff and time loops. We lost all of Jimmy's mystery, we lost the creepiness and what little reality there was. We lost all mystery and constantly creating these urban legends among the community. Or these myths, knowing the slightest bit about the story and loading into a public match always made you feel kind of cool. Now you load into a map, dump the same exposition on to you every single match, you constantly have main characters like Samantha or Monty talking into your ear. Telling you what to do. You practically have to do half of the Easter egg just to get the wonder weapon, Pack-a-Punch or upgrade the wonder weapon, there are some apps I just don't even like to play like shadows or zetsubo because the tedious hour-long setup. I miss the Jimmy Z era of zombies. I miss the mystery.
So about the QED, not only can it spawn weapons that fire in a circle, but sometimes those weapons can kill not only the person who threw it, but ANYONE it hits. I have a clip of that happening to me and a buddy of mine, on BO3 moon. We were both undamaged, it spawned a (lemme find the clip real fast,) mr6 it appears to be, and it starts firing explosive bullets, and starts to rotate. It then shoots me and im instantly downed, and then it keeps rotating and shoots my buddy, killing him instantly too, and we get a game over. So yeah, be VERY carely with the QED, they are NOT worth it lol
7:18 My favorite thing about this slight EE is it helps give you this idea of what was once a great theater where people would come in go only to be turned into a broken down research facility. Only the souls of the damned reside at the theater now.
23:05 if I remember correctly you can still find that magazine with monkey on it. It's lying in the same place but in the campaign. In Pentagon mission
24:20 I personally saw killing the pig as an act of mercy, since it is clearly trapped and miserable. And besides, if I didn't kill the pig, a zombie or "natural causes" would get to it, which would just be torture, given the situation it's in.
59:04 this audio sounds like a modified or filtered version of the audio conversion of a planets magnetic field, specifically Saturn. Given the whole space theme I bet this is where they got the sound, and it's a cool and creepy detail
Back in the day I thought that the dentist room in Kino was Verruckt. I also remember everyonr thought the Grim Reaper silhouettes had something to do with future maps, The same with Sparky on the batteries in Ascension
14:34 I'm hearing a french song that kids sing "Promenons nous dans les bois" Let's go walk in the woods "Pendant que le loup n'y est pas" While the wolf isn't there "Si le loup y était il nous mangerai" If the wolf was here he would eat us "Mais comme il n'y est pas il ne nous mangera pas" But he isn't there so it will not eat us Yeah I know it's weird but if their is other french people or people that can understand french that is reading this go and listen carefully to see if I'm the only one to hear it

I've never understood how people didn't know what beware of the 6 meant, have they just never played the campaign? It was always clear to me that it was talking about the zombies with nova 6 in em
Me too
Same.
@@TREVORVADER I'm just assuming they never played the campaign, that's my head canon
Weird that they didn't add this in future maps
@@morisco56 not even the ones right after
Another Detail about the zombies too at least from what I noticed!
German zombies in World at War walk around still trying to goose-step and heil
28:31 Actually, an add-on to this detail is that *ONLY* soldiers will do this, not the Russian scientists.
What I get from this is
Dempsey- Is annoyed by Nikolai but sorta enjoys him respects takeo hates Richthofen
Nikolai- Likes Dempsey Hates takeo finds Richthofen strange
Takeo- does not like Dempsey hates Nikolai And respect’s Richthofen
Richthofen-hates Dempsey Enjoys Nikolai and likes Takeo
The ambience of og moon is just so much better than BO3. It really captures the feeling of beeing stranded in space all alone
I get the same feeling in bo3. I don’t know how adding colors to a map makes it in any way less lonely.
@@OldBenKenobi2318 I cant explain it but BO3 doesnt feel like that at all to me
bo3 completely ruins the aethstetic of moon
17:32 This was just so "to the point" it's hilarious.
Feeling bad for the zombies because they think they can dodge a thundergun up close 😮💨
Not many people seem to know that you can escape the astronaut by just pulling back and spamming the jump button
Never heard the quotes of Romero realizing what he has done and also Dempsey trying to get richtophen to get his finger out of his ass and Nikolai headbutting the door was just gold. Iv missed a lot despite playing zombies since the start lol
It's horrific to think about Romero having a moment of clarity and all of what he has done crashing onto him.
rip yoteslaya can’t believe it’ll be a decade since we lost a legend 😢
Not a day goes by where I don’t watch a zombies video and not think of him. R.I.P a legend man
I don’t think I’ve watched one of his videos since back then. He died around the time I started losing interest in zombies after BO2
there's one thing more about the pentagon thief: If you kill him with an Instakill active he doesn't drop a bonfire sale or fire sale, only a max ammo
It was crazy seeing YOTESLAYA credited in this video. I used to watch him play borderlands 2 and I was very upset to hear about his death all of those years ago. Your content is still useful to people even after your passing. RIP YOTESLAYA
28:22 The reason the zombies dodge on ascension is because through out multiple different maps zombies retain some of their human traits
Did you come up with that or has it been like agreed on or proved? Cool theory anyway but just wondering
However, if you notice, it's usually Spetsnaz zombies. Scientists do not have military training as much as the russian elites.
@@BumBobBoi actually yeah I’ve noticed h the marching never noticed anything significant on shangri la, someone should def make a video on that I can’t seem to find anything about it on RUclips.
Great video. I remember all the weird speculation and theories being thrown around when Kino was big. So many people were CONVINCED on weird theories like the box glitch, upgradeable grenades, or the model in Sam's room being Der Riese.
whoa the upgradable grenades just hit a memory haha
The "Manhattan Down" Could be a reference to Modern Warfare 3, which was the game that came after BO1.
This could be a nod to that or timeline manipulation shenanigans which wouldn’t surprise me
Pablo didn’t die, I’m pretty sure because he lives in the lighthouse at least according to (cough) Tag 💀
Woah what
I miss the old story for zombies, with ties to the real world and conspiracy theories and ties to secret government research and all that cryptic stuff
Yeah it lost me the more they played into MCU level disaster of a plot.
Actually it’s got the same problem as the MCU. The bigger the scale got the more the quality dropped. Like I love Iron Man 1 and 2 the same way I love WaW zombies
Fun fact, everything in bo1 zombies that has blood on it “bleeds” the mannequin, the doors, the ground, etc
the zombies dodging, marching and acting like holding a weapon are leftover memories of the zombies before they became one
39:00 probably my favorite Nikolai quote of him being sober
wait i just realised that the dentist's room is the QR spawn room in Verruckt, but not destroyed. the doors are in the same spots and so are the windows and counters
i think it's a bit smaller than the verruckt room
Yeah it is the same room
@@locojordo143 because the doors are closed (sorry for late response)
Thanks for putting this together, I absolutely love learning little things about this game 12 years later
I always loved these waw & bo1 nazi themed maps the most for what they give me in aesthetics and sound and the lore.
How the germans would find 115 and immedietly use it for war tech, which is exactly what the germans would have done back then and how it all evolves into Richtofen doing what he does
I just love it🔥
Zombies are botched experiments on humans not some alien inflicted type of bs that we got in the end.
Richtofen Must've been the most fun character to voice act for
I remember thinking that in kino the automatic gun trap where speed cola is, I used to think that there was a dragon that would attack and you would use that gun to try and kill it.
Personally the only zombies story that even matters to me is WaW and BO1. There was fun in the other games for sure but those first 2 were something else. Everything was perfect.
That transition to the sponsor was straight MALICIOUS
In my opinion if you DON’T kill the pig then you’re going to hell. Poor guy was tied up, subjected to who knows how many tests, left to die and surrounded by creatures that will eat you alive. Put the thing out of its misery and don’t prolong the suffering.
there’s never gonna be anything as good as og zombies. i miss the prime of bo1, simpler times.
There's an easter egg on Kino that I've only seen one video of online. If you hang around near the barrier next to the MP40 for a while (like several minutes) you can hear screaming. It's just another random sound coming from an inaccessible part of the map, but for some reason it takes way longer to activate.
If Kino had a proper Easteregg and a little more stuff to do in terms of setup it would rly be in the convo of the best map ever
It already is in convo of the best map ever tho
@@cla_6 there’s not enough content to qualify for that conversation, but is still very nostalgic so it could be in that convo just not the best map of all time.
@@Jamesgutierrez024more doesn’t equal better.
That line of thinking is why zombies lost all its charm
2:50 finally, someone recognizes the most forgotten Easter egg.
I just learned that Beware of the 6 was meant for Nova 6. All my life I thought of round 6, and would get angry when hellhounds spawn in earlier or later
Takeo:"Honor to the doctor."
Richtofen:"OhhHhHh, it's a picture of the monkey bomb"
Respect to Yoteslaya mention.
That Teddy Bear at 40:00 was soul crushing and awoke the ptsd deep in my soul especially since both guns had zero ammo
“The vr-11 can distract zombies and its useless in solo”
My man what?!
The box knocking one was always the scariest thing for me 😂
You could have included something for shang I don't see many people talk about. After you complete the easter egg if you game over, richtofen has a special quote that plays over the game over screen that everyone can hear. I can't remember the exact quote because it's been awhile but I think he says something about his grand scheme working and then he does an evil laugh.
Yt jus recommending this channel is insane, I remember when krazy and Tim were popping off in the pandemic
Richtofen calling Takeo a little shit gave me some form of satisfication.
"What am I, a fucking knob jockey?"
-Tank Dempsey
1:28 The moment we all skipped
Love that no one else even mentioned his perk icons...
So I'm not the only one who noticed
I think the letters saying "Manhattan Down" could refer to the city having been overrun by the zombies sometime before Kino
Edit: the Paris reason is wrong.
Basically my feelings. Like I play BO3 maps and they’re interesting to a certain degree but I much prefer the pre-Origins days
I miss when BO1 and WAW zombies tied into real WW2 events
So about the QED, not only can it spawn weapons that fire in a circle, but sometimes those weapons can kill not only the person who threw it, but ANYONE it hits. I have a clip of that happening to me and a buddy of mine, on BO3 moon. We were both undamaged, it spawned a (lemme find the clip real fast,) mr6 it appears to be, and it starts firing explosive bullets, and starts to rotate. It then shoots me and im instantly downed, and then it keeps rotating and shoots my buddy, killing him instantly too, and we get a game over. So yeah, be VERY carely with the QED, they are NOT worth it lol
fun little fact, on the mobile app version of call of the dead you don't need to do the easter egg to get the wunderwaffe george just drops it anyways
7:18 My favorite thing about this slight EE is it helps give you this idea of what was once a great theater where people would come in go only to be turned into a broken down research facility. Only the souls of the damned reside at the theater now.
that was a really great video. A lot of hard work went into it. I learned a lot about the different bo1 maps too haha. thanks for the video
“I’m the Zombie Grandaddy.”
-George Romero
Bro I remember watching rabbit and Tim while in high school. These videos helped though foster care. Can’t believe it’s been 5 years already
i never knew you could launch the rocket on kino. after all these years im still learning new things about that map
How has he got a sponsor this is one of the universe's greatest questions
59:04 this audio sounds like a modified or filtered version of the audio conversion of a planets magnetic field, specifically Saturn. Given the whole space theme I bet this is where they got the sound, and it's a cool and creepy detail
2010: “Ah, it’s a picture of the monkey bomb!” - Richtofen
2017: “Why does Takeo look like a fuckin’ monkey?” - Vanoss
What is that anime hud bruh, really ruins the experience having anime faces on the screen 💀
Back in the day I thought that the dentist room in Kino was Verruckt. I also remember everyonr thought the Grim Reaper silhouettes had something to do with future maps, The same with Sparky on the batteries in Ascension
Well what is it¿?‽¡!
14:34
I'm hearing a french song that kids sing
"Promenons nous dans les bois"
Let's go walk in the woods
"Pendant que le loup n'y est pas"
While the wolf isn't there
"Si le loup y était il nous mangerai"
If the wolf was here he would eat us
"Mais comme il n'y est pas il ne nous mangera pas"
But he isn't there so it will not eat us
Yeah I know it's weird but if their is other french people or people that can understand french that is reading this go and listen carefully to see if I'm the only one to hear it
So five was the first map to feature buildable's and Ascension was the first map to feature soul boxes 😮
What about the film reels in kino doesnt that counts as a buildable
@@The_NCR_ranger1899 no because you aren't building anything towards it? That would just be a collectable

I’m pretty sure the Manhattan down EE is a reference to nuketown ( the Manhattan project)
30:23 It is correct to say not “CCCP”, but “CCCR”. The phrase on the wall is written in Russian.
