Its crazy because ive always heard those zombie talking sounds on Die Rise but it wasnt until recently that I figured out only Stuhlinger can hear them because of him eating the zombie flesh. I always thought they were just general ambient sounds on the map
Whoever VA’d and mixed the audio on those sound effects did a phenomenal job as well. There are certain parts that I still vividly remember because of how much it freaked me out and stuck with me as a kid
It's so great hearing the radios as they help build the world our crew is trapped in. I think it would of been cool to follow some of these stories in their own little stories, see how they end.
In my opinion I love the radios on victus really interesting showing us what life is like going on, people surviving and what not does make me wish we got a cod zombies game where the entire maps are like Tranzit and Die rise
It's moreso because everyone coincidentally tied the introduction of the character, running head-first into debris without second thought, to the ever classic (and culturally relevant at the time) meme of Leroy Jenkins. And, if I recall correctly, I'm pretty sure most people in the community actually refer to Syndicate as the originator of the nickname "Leroy"... or at least the first large and influential creator to do it.
@@CobRaM4tRIXsad that syndicate ended up being a piece of shit that cheated his runs and scammed kids. Also funny enough by buddy and I just randomly named him Leroy ourselves without any prior knowledge of the map or creators calling him that. I absolutely love these in depth analysis it actually makes me remeber zombies used to be creepy. It isn't in bo3 onwards but waw-bo2 was actually relatively creepy
The Die Rise zombie cries are terrifying and heartbreaking. You can barely make out "He lies... he lies" and "The pain... the pain." I'd give em a hug if they weren't trying to eat my brains 😢
The inner monologues of the mobsters is amazingly good. They sound so realistic. And, I think anyone thats ever been way too down on themselves know what those thoughts are like...
1:08:39 I wonder if those sounds are supposed to be a reference to the Tommy Knockers, an urban legend about creatures who lived in mineshafts and were said to have knocked down the support beams that kept mines from collapsing, trapping and killing any miners unfortunate enough to still be inside the mine.
God i miss old zombies , back when they put some much obsure stuff into maps stuff most wouldn't even notice. Like radios were always a thing but back when we had to piece everything together. Wish we could go back to that those were the days. Like if you took out the rictofen stuff of black ops 2 zombies it really could have been great , government conspiracy , government coverups , just survival at all costs .
Ironically, that POWER poster in Tranzit was in the campaign mission Fallen Angel, which you can see in a viewing room that you’re required to enter partway through the mission (overlooking a VTOL and a few important characters, very small room)
I’ll never forget doing the Easter egg on Die Rise with my best friends in high school and hearing the zombie voices in Samuel’s head and being kinda freaked out. I kept asking my friends what they thought about the sounds and they kept saying “what sounds?” I was uneasy finishing that egg while sitting alone in my house at 2 in the morning.
I think it’s cool that the way max is was scared when rich made him into the drone was the same way SOPHIA felt towards maxis when he turned her to a robot
I would argue that the fallen robot’s name is baldur considering his death brings the start of fimbulwinter (and it’s snowing in the map as well) which is basically an intense winter that last 3 years and marks the beginning of ragnarok (the end of the world)
Black ops 2 has some of the best radios. They were all so grim and hopeless. The idea that there were many other survivors who were driven mad and then abandoned by maxis and richtofen is just so demotivating. Its some of the best world building the series has ever done, and it serves as a depressing remember that youre choosing between 2 nazis that are only slightly different flavors of evil.
I will always hate how Buried was Jimmy Zielinski's last map. I really want to know how he would've continued the story. I hate Maxis's ending was just made canon and Richtofen's side of the story was just completely ignored. Especially given that the round infinity part of the easter egg on Buried is one of, if not the coolest steps in any easter egg we ever got. Like, Black Ops 4 and everything after it all continue off the idea of getting the alternate ending in Mob of the Dead (just a different white screen flash) but something like BO2's Buried ending just gets ignored? So incredibly lame and wasteful.
It's not that it gets ignored, it's just if you do Richthofens side, that round infinity IS the conclusion to the story, Richthofen becomes all powerful, maxis and Samantha lose any way to stop him. He abandons the zombies crew to die just like he has with all his previous teams, and that's where you see there corpses on round infinity. That's just the end of the book, nowhere to go from there. If Maxis wins however, Samantha becomes the zombie master again, and that leads to her contacting the primis crew in origins, leading to the events of black ops 3.
As for the mob of the dead alternate ending changing the course of the story, that's a little more complicated. The whole story through blops3 is a infinitely repeating loop spawned by the primis crew, especially Richthofen, doing everything in his power to not die. But always comes to the same conclusion of being sent back in time by monty and rebooting the loop. Similarly the mob of the dead crew is in a smaller infinitly repeating loop made by the shadowman in order to trap Richthofen. Each time it ended with the three killing Weasel, but. If weasel kills the other three at the end, it breaks the loop, and he escapes the island. With him breaking his loop, he unknownkinlgy broke the primis crews loop, resulting in the blood of the dead map and the new ending
@@tolkienbarnett4756 Nowhere to go from there? My guy, in Maxis's side the Earth was entirely destroyed yet they managed to continue the story, and without that Victis group ever returning either until an alternate timeline. Yet you're saying because one single group of 4 people died the story had nowhere to continue?
@@tolkienbarnett4756 The Mob of the Dead alternate ending being what causes the change from BO3 to BO4's story wasn't actually confirmed anywhere, but it is a headcanon I will believe as well since they've never given us another explanation as to why it would've suddenly changed.
@@Freelancer837 yes THAT earth was completely destroyed, but the reason maxis destroyed it was to remove Richthofen from power, and put Samantha back in, doing so allowed her to contact the primis crew on a DIFFERENT earth. No matter who wins victis's earth is destroyed. But if Richthofen wins then there is literally no one left in existence who can stop him, in any way and he leaves victis to die to boot. If maxis wins then Samantha can contact the primis crew and start the loop that we see in black ops 3. In addition, if primis is contacted then Richthofen saves victis crew from that earth and puts them in cryo to use their blood as his insurance policy.

Those radio broadcasts at 9:04 were honestly the creepiest part of transit for me. The screams for me seem even more realistic then the ones in Verrückt… It also feels so unusual to hear surviving groups in these games…
Two (if I’m right) of the tranzit group actually was from seperate human groups before they wiped each other out. Stulinger and the guy with glasses (he also was a cannibal since one of the groups believed in it after the zombies but didn’t relaize it causes infection and you can hear parts of it in tranzit.)
The “Sedan” poster is the sedan crater in Nevada where nuketown is based. The first letter of each bo3 dlc makes out “seda” with nuketown finish off with “sedan”

Same thing with The Walking Dead and Gradians of the Galaxy, Michael Rooker is in Call of the Dead. Zombies has a big history in my childhood. I love getting Nostalgic over videos like this
Broken Arrow is the name of the company/agency/whatever. It's the American equivalent of Group 935. The "Nuketown facility" in Bo2 may have been referred to as Camp Edward since that's what it's called in Bo4 Zombies' Alpha Omega. But since Bo4's Alpha Omega and Bo2's Nuketown Zombies are in two different dimensions it's not an 100% confirmation. The radio was likely referring to either Die Rise's location or a completely unnamed/unknown location tied to Broken Arrow. Considering the rough links to Die Rise and Broken Arrow/Weapon & Bios Testing, as well as the only known instance of a Broken Arrow facility having an outbreak being tied to Bios Testing, it seems more likely to me that the radio was actually referring to Die Rise itself. Though the point anyway is that they're not referring to Nuketown in that radio.

You got it right, it's mental fortitude but it might also be the fact that he knew the effects before hand due to possible older members of the flesh. It could be possible.
@@Nexus_Simulationswould explain why he’s the last one from the flesh
You're telling me after 13 years that I could jump through the windows on 5 and somehow never knew this?!? wow.
It has to be a crouched jump and it requires timing. On console is básicamente impossible
12:38 Damn, that is just amazing! The idea of Richtofen and maxis appearing to a lot of other people besides the victis crew makes everything make more sense.
Yeah hearing all the radios added a whole new layer to Black Ops 2’s zombie story.
I never heard the radios before this video.
Nuketown Zombies is based on BO1 Nuketown multiplayer. The mail boxes are from the multiplayer and have always said "woods" and "mason" and the base in the distance is for the end of the match. 42:30
The mob crew spewing their hearts and showing that they still had emotions even after all they did.
Rabbit- Hey so you want a free blundergat😀
1:24:24 bro u forgot that while u are doing the easter egg if u take zombie blood before every steps, samantha with her demonic voice will tell u all the vorkuta step, and also that during zombie blood samantha will speak to you and is a different dialougue for every character and his interaction with richtofen is unique; also if during the match u dont do the easter egg samantha will insult u.
I wish treyarch did more stuff like that, really adds to the atmosphere
It's so great hearing the radios as they help build the world our crew is trapped in.
I think it would of been cool to follow some of these stories in their own little stories, see how they end.
In my opinion I love the radios on victus really interesting showing us what life is like going on, people surviving and what not does make me wish we got a cod zombies game where the entire maps are like Tranzit and Die rise
Im convinced the only reason people think Arthur's name is Leroy is because Vanoss used the Leroy Jenkins sound effect in his buried video
Other way around actually!
Our boy Leroy
@@grimm3995what is
@@CobRaM4tRIXsad that syndicate ended up being a piece of shit that cheated his runs and scammed kids. Also funny enough by buddy and I just randomly named him Leroy ourselves without any prior knowledge of the map or creators calling him that. Not trying to be like “We came up with it first” just that we came to the same name as everyone else did lol.
I absolutely love these in depth analysis it actually makes me remeber zombies used to be creepy. It isn't in bo3 onwards but waw-bo2 was actually relatively creepy
The Die Rise zombie cries are terrifying and heartbreaking. You can barely make out "He lies... he lies" and "The pain... the pain."
I'd give em a hug if they weren't trying to eat my brains 😢
The inner monologues of the mobsters is amazingly good. They sound so realistic. And, I think anyone thats ever been way too down on themselves know what those thoughts are like...
Ok this was the video we all needed admit it rabbit is the best youtuber ever
Rabbit, the hero we didn't want, but the hero we needed the most
1:24:30 there are similar messages inside the robots if you have zombie blood when you go inside them after upgrading all 4 staffs
Zombies isn’t zombies without Krazyrabbit and Tim
God i miss old zombies , back when they put some much obsure stuff into maps stuff most wouldn't even notice. Like radios were always a thing but back when we had to piece everything together. Wish we could go back to that those were the days. Like if you took out the rictofen stuff of black ops 2 zombies it really could have been great , government conspiracy , government coverups , just survival at all costs .
The good old days
Black ops 4 still has new stuff being discovered today, zombies hasn't changed much you guys just became haters bc of nostalgia
@@weskingtime6087 zombies has absolutely changed since the glory days of WaW, bo1, and bo2
That’s the thing with story telling, how much can you keep hidden and how much can you share or tell ?
Seeing Tim's gameplay puts a smile on my face

Speed Cola: YOUR HANDS ARE SLOW
Ironically, that POWER poster in Tranzit was in the campaign mission Fallen Angel, which you can see in a viewing room that you’re required to enter partway through the mission (overlooking a VTOL and a few important characters, very small room)
21:20 virgin transhit music vs gigachad speed cola
Love this series, COD Zombies has a level of detail that made my mind run. Shame most people often forget it.
I’ll never forget doing the Easter egg on Die Rise with my best friends in high school and hearing the zombie voices in Samuel’s head and being kinda freaked out. I kept asking my friends what they thought about the sounds and they kept saying “what sounds?”
I was uneasy finishing that egg while sitting alone in my house at 2 in the morning.
DAMN THAT WITCH CAN PLAY THE PIANO 🔥
14:23 “…one thing a lot of people might’ve forgot if you don’t really play TranZit with friends - like I do, because I don’t have any…” TOOK ME OUT 😭😂
I will always hate how Buried was Jimmy Zielinski's last map.
Die Rise is by far one of my favourite maps, it needs a return
28:09 I told my friends about how the zombies sounded weird this time around and they never believed me! I was playing as STU!
1:17:53 I don't know why, but that got a solid laugh from me. Just seeing this gigantic, dead robot laying on the ground getting smack talked "This robot was over hear dicking around, falling down" Just caught me so off guard. Poor robot, should be immortal but died and now it is forever tormented.
Man those quotes they felt unreal i can't imagine like if black ops 2 zombies was tv series having hear these quotes the fear that'll be flowing through me especially like stuhlinger hearing zombies voices
Did you know that in the end screen of die rise the sound at the end is supposed to be Brutus locking a cell door which was foreshadowing the next map mob

17:16 Talking about EMPs, here goes another one: Emps can turn off a lot of perk a cola machines, but do you know it can also turn off the power switch in the enrgy building, desactivating all perks? Ask how I know...
I found that out too
The fact the zombies are begging stu to help them is just... creepy, you can hear "help me" in all most all of them and one of them in particular just say "please" over and over... thats nice to know...
26:53 gotta be one of the most terrifying little Easter eggs when it comes to audio
Nuketown you forgot that after round 25, the zombies eyes change indicating that moon’s easter egg, Richthofen controlling the aether in the MPD.
It's so cool how much detail Treyarch put into even their weakest maps
1:06:47 Fun fact also, and I advise you don’t do this.
If you get the LSAT on Buried and place it in the Fridge, every other map will give you a HAMR.
Highly suggest you don’t do that unless you have a weird fetish for guns that just kick back in your face more than killing zombies lol
"Symptoms are variable, but most subjects display short term memory loss, phychosis, delusion, and paranoia. Short term memory loss has also been reported, ..."
wait a second...
Suprised you didn't mention the fact that some of the game over songs teased future maps. For example, Die Rise had a game over song that teased Mob of the Dead
Not round changes but rather game ending one
@@Magnus.. oh my fault lemme fix it
Der Riese also teased Kino
@@SoulKitsuneyt I think there was one that teased origins and it's absolutely rad
That began all the way from World at War. The end of Natch Der Untoten was “Lullaby of A Deadman” which was the secret song in Verruckt
I just had to leave a comment because I've been watching your videos every now and then. The way you do your pacing and segues along with the editing is superb. After trying youtube a fair bit with my father and seeing how much goes into this, I had to compliment the work done for a video this long. Very well done.
Edit: I completely forgot to mention the research. Also very well done in that aspect, you went very deep for this. Love it.
The sounds Samuel hears says something like HE LIED HE LIEEED and HEEELP so it is way too creepy than that also the 666 code after inputing 115 into the machine references the rules of motd (the prison itself) which is shown on a leaflet somewhere

21:15 When the Speed Cola jingle starts playing during the Loading music, the way you turned and looked at it lol 💀
They didn’t last long but would have been interesting if some groups would have survived until the dark ether was corrected.
The “Sedan” poster is the sedan crater in Nevada where nuketown is based. The first letter of each bo3 dlc makes out “seda” with nuketown finish off with “sedan”
I absolutely love china lore in real life🤣 its always like “mao zong chi introduces new social system, 15-50 million perish” 💀💀
The first bus station announcement “Loading and unloading only” is probably a reference to the 1980 comedy movie “Airplane”. Super funny film for those that haven’t seen it.
You’re an absolute beast for adding in the “TURN VOLUME DOWN” queue. I wouldn’t lost an ear after cranking my volume up freaking the fuck out listen to those sounds only to be jump scared by your RUclipsr excitement voice next.
My favorite part of the actor who plays Sal... years later I'm watching modern family and Jay's best friend looks familiar... it's fucking Sal Deluca. 34:27 Broken arrow is the name of the Nuke town facility on alpha omega. So that transmission is right before the nuke drops
I feel the classic 1950s announcements are more disturbing with the static and slow cadence of the speaker.
