Levis 511s have the same inside seam as the picture of the ordinary jeans you showed. They also come in a selvedged finish too. the pair you have must be from the Line 8 collection which has a 2 felt seam on the inseam and outer seam.

This actually works well with hi tops aswell. If you're rocking skinny jeans and want to show off a pair of slender hi tops, like Hummel Stadils or Chuck Taylors, the pin roll will rest on the shoe as opposed to a cuff which will sometimes obscure your hot new trainers. And you loose the wrinkled look you get from stuffing your jeans under the tongue of the shoe.
