Finally some practical advice on how to really improve Shopify Speed! No apps or plugins. Thanks for this videos. Can you make one where you explain step by step image optimization? 🙏
appreciate shopioso, I follow you when I work on an optimization project. also, I made optimization notes while watching your videos. Can you make a full brief video on Minify JavaScript and Avoid an excessive DOM size Thank you😃
Hi! Sure, is the cause for these two problems is on your theme (local assets) and not a third party app then you could address them. Ill think if I can include these topics into a video, but the thing is in most of the cases the javascript that should be minified is coming from an app. The same for DOM nodes. If these are generated by an app, the only way to avoid them is to stop the apps from loading on the initial site load and trigger the injection of those app scripts on human interaction.
Usually, that error comes from third-party scripts (app scripts) that are hosted on third-party servers. We have no access to those scrips so we cannot defer or async them not to talk about optimizing the code itself. In that case, you can only stop the script from loading all together and toggle the injection of that code after human interaction. You have to test and make sure the app still triggers and works after the injection. Here is a video where I do something like that: ruclips.net/video/pwrA4pbnexY/видео.html
Hi can u tell me exactly where do I import those html pieces of code in my Shopify store, or maybe there's an option in editor somewhere where I can add this option? Can u tell me
Hi! You can access your code editor by going to your shopify's dashboard then to sales channels and online store. Once there you will see a button with three dots next to the "Customize" button. Click the three dots button and from the menu chose edit code. You will be redirected to the code editor where you can follow the tutorial. Hope this was what you needed.
@@shopioso Also can u mention the recommended stats that I should upload the short videos on my store. i have a lot of gifs. but now since they are harder to load than short videos. ill upload videos. But at what stats? 1080p or 720p?Bitrate? fps? format? codec? If I keep it on autoplay like the gifs are on loop will it slow down the website? please tell Sir
@@StratexMedia It depends on the location on the store. If its a full width banner you probably need 1080p if smaller placements like the product description you can have 480p. Export H264 mp4 and compress as much as you can.

Thanks for your videos. Could you explain to us in practice, how to solve the problem "Reduce JavaScript execution time" with code? Thanks again.
