Does anyone besides me can feel the power in their voices love listening to all kinds of music by different artists.
It's the ONLY thing that makes "power" ballads worth listening to. Anyone can mouth the words, but only a few can bring them from their soul. It's what makes Dan SO special. EVERY song comes from his soul. Songs I couldn't stand from original artists, Dan has made into epic must have's. He's on the level with Freddie Mercury, Geddie Lee, Meatloaf (RIP), and VERY limited others for his ability to send chills down your spine, EVERY SONG. I mean, seriously, how do you make "Amazing Grace' into a song you gotta hear over and over and over? I dunno, but Dan Vasc has managed to do it!

I'm turning 60 next month, and I couldn't imagine limiting myself to one genre of music! My partner listens only to classic rock and classic country which I love too, but I need more, I need to keep growing. I did drag him to a HU concert thinking he was going to hate the Mongolian folk metal band, but he loved their music!

To me its like Seals version is praising a gentle blooming romance. Kinda a rom-com. Dan and Violet's version is a journey from irritation/disbelief to joyous acceptance. Kinda an action film romance.

I know it's been a while, but, I just saw your comment. I'd like to recommend checking out Sabaton- especially if you enjoy war history. They may be too much, too soon, so I definitely recommend starting with the softer ones like Christmas Truce, Bismark, Father, and The Last Stand.

I like this version more than the original.
In fact, I discovered this song a few days ago and instantly thought "this song needs metal arrangements, it was born to be a metal song, it's missing power in the voice too" and I had the glorious idea of googling its metal cover 😅 that's how I found this video. It's amazing
I know this is a year old but I just found Dan and I am amazed by his voice. I am not into metal music but how can you not listen to him, his vocals are a phenomenon. And he has such range that it captives. He doesn't need to waste this God given talent only on metal but spread it to every genre's. He can sing it all not like today's singers who are all stuck in 1 music style. By the way, don't cut your hair Dan, but you'd be as handsome as ever if you did 😂

@@Tekoleader He's been focusing on his own band and trying to start off on his own career in the music industry instead of just giving a small subset of the internet some excellent covers. He'll probably continue to give us covers but at a slower rate than when he wasn't distracted by trying to make an actual living with his voice.

I love this song. Seal's voice is so crystal sweet. I NEVER thought anyone could compete with his version, but you did. In fact, it's better. Just enough metal to burn just a little, enough so we know we're alive. I cried during this video. And making this a duet was genius. Your voices are very different but you took the two pieces and made something better than the original. Kudos! And Hurrah!

I have never wanted to listen to someone that was listed as metal since most don't have voices at all. All is they do is scream into the microphone. I don't know where you popped up from on my screen, except it was to listen to your version of Amazing Grace. I have gone from cover to cover now for over 2.5 hours!!!
