    Lol So true about the fire fish. When I first got mine, it would jump into the overflow every other day. Once it found a safe haven under a rock it stopped.

    When referring to more than one species of fish, you can use fishes as the plural

    Do you guys recommend using Aragonite for a substrate on a 10 gallon Nuvo Fusion tank. I do plan on using it as a reef tank. Someone at a fish store told me that be careful with aragonite because some corals might attach themselves to it, he said I should use sand instead. Any advice would be appreciated. I love your content.

    • @dedicatedreefer9966
      @dedicatedreefer9966 Год назад +2

      It’s all choice. If you’re gonna have heavy flow. Use aragonite. If regular use sand. Mushrooms will stick to the aragonite. Most soft corals will attach to aragonite. But if you’re putting corals on the tank bed, it’s better if it DOES attach to the aragonite. Then it won’t shift or move around.

    • @richardfuentes4204
      @richardfuentes4204 Год назад +1

      @@dedicatedreefer9966 Hey thanks for your response, I do like the look of the Aragonite. It reminds me of a fresh water substrate. I definitely will keep easy corals and the pump that the tank came with is pretty beefy. Going with the Aragonite will probably help me in the long run with the heavy flow.

      I would go with Fiji pink live sand by caribsea

    • @daftgowk1
      @daftgowk1 Год назад +1

      @@richardfuentes4204 aragonite for sure. I just migrated from a tank with fine sand and it was a nightmare to manage flow, especially as things grow and channels become ever tighter

    • @richardfuentes4204
      @richardfuentes4204 Год назад

      @@daftgowk1 Yeah thanks for responding, I think I will use Aragonite. The tank is small and I'm worried about the flow knocking it around. That happens in my fresh water tanks when I use a HOB filter and sand.

    I hate to be that guy, but fish is only acceptable as plural if they are all the same species. Because these are varied species, the correct term is actually fishes. Learned that from an ichthyologist.

      Most sources suggest at least 30g to 40g aquarium size. You will properly have agression problems in that small of a tank.
