I have the XTerra Pro. The only reason I'm thinking about upgrading is because of the bouncy VDI on the Pro and I'm looking to dig less trash. At the same time, I hear more expensive models have some of the same issues. ie: the Equinox 900. I also go to the ocean once or twice a year and would like multi-frequency.
Bouncy numbers usually indicate trash. Listen to the tones. Digging less trash comes more with experience and practice than with an upgrade. Check out my video on how to dig less trash. Multi frequency is definitely a plus on wet sand. Good luck!
Love my e-trac. It's built like a tank and can sniff out deep silver at the 1.5 kh range. but its a toss up between spending on upgrades and upkeep, or a brand new machine. dont know how many more years I can get out of it
I upgraded from a Simplex. I liked it but all the EMI problems I was having was really making me mad. I upgraded to the Nox 900 and I’ll be with that for a long long time.
Currently have the legend, I'm thinking about "upgrading" to the deus 1 I mostly use 40khz on the legend, I find it hits our steel core coins as well as our older nickel coins fairly well in 40khz So I'm super curious about the deus and being able to go higher to 74khz and how it would play with our coins I am not considering the deus 2 because it has neither a high frequency coil or a small elliptical coil, they may come out with an elliptical coil at some point for the deus 2, but who knows when Also curious with 74khz and how it would work around the play equipment in tot lots
Everyone I know that switched to a Deus never looked back. The only thing that kept me from getting one Is the fact that it has a battery in the coil, which will eventually wear out and cause you to have to buy a new coil. Those coils are very expensive.

I warned a lot of folks about the simplex being a chatterbox. Glad you're happy with your new 900!
Honestly I Still Use the Equinox 800 haha and Dont want to Drop another $1,000 Plus on a Newer model so im Happy for the Time being :)
Smart way of thinking! If you're happy, why spend money? Thanks for watching.
