Hello from freezing Canada. Metal detecting is on ice...literally until next spring since we have 1 foot of snow . I have my Lesche digging tool for the last 10 years. After I bent and broken all the cheap gardening trowels I had. Even bought some "heavy duty" ones at the big bucks store and they bent and broke like the rest of them. Lesche tools are the best. Expensive at $65 Canadian 10 years ago, but this thing is indestructible. Mine don't have a model number on it, just the Lesche logo imprinted on the guard.
You have one of the older ones- they are really good. Hopefully you can be entertained by my videos while you wait for the big thaw! Browse through the channel sometime. Thanks for checking in.
I got a White’s Digmaster you’ll have to pry from my cold dead hands 😆. I have that and my pinpointer on leashes so I don’t lose them and that saved me a couple times from losing them. I find that those belt synthetic sheaths don’t last too long. I bought a leather one that’s hand made to be very excellent for the hand digger off of ETSY. I bought my shovel from a guy in Minnesota who makes them in his garage. That thing will chew through cement. 😆 Cedar River Digging Tools.
For me the handle is the best part!!! I have Predator Hand Diggers, Grave Digger, and many others. Right now I have been using CKG... Will see how the CKG holds up but this far it's proving to be better than the rest.
The Hand Trowel Digger that I went to get is the Evolution Hand Trowel and it's wider than anything else that I have Now , but it's not made in the USA and Regtons sells it from England and the White's Shovel I have and I also have the Radius Shovel Root Slayer and the Hand Diggers are on A Leash and the Pinpointer are also on a Leash and will not be able to get Lost EVER....
@@freedomdiggersmetaldetecti8964 well I will not leash my dogs but I have my tools because they will find a way and hide...in the grass and won't come when I call them..so I have a Leash Law for my Tools.. and I have felt them dragging behind me a few times and I didn't realize it and I NOW just stop and pull the leash and I'm back to Detecting and Not have to go back and forth with the Searching for them 🤔🤔🤔 and the oh where,OH WHERE, WHERE ARE YOU AT,WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME ALONE MY TOOL'S 🤣🤣🤣🤣...TOOL LEASH LAW 👍is Effective and should be done.... and the Hunt is still on and No MORE Buying and Spending time looking and Money 💰💸 to keep it with Me until I got the Leash Law.... for Myself....
I have the predetor Pheonix shovel, after international shipping and exchange rate I paid $220 for the shovel, I would do it again in a heartbeat if lost or stolen Ive heard good things about the raptor hand digger, but I can't get over the way it looks, it just looks strange I have a garret hand digger currently, if I break it I'll probably get a predetor hand digger, but I doubt I'll break it, after breaking my amazon special I learned not to pry with my hand digger, I stand up and use my shovel if I want to pry, I won't break the pheonix
I have a Raptor. Too big for my pouch. Excellent for bottle digging & planting flowers. My Raven cost me $110 & I wouldn't trade it for anything. I've got 7 years on it.
@@freedomdiggersmetaldetecti8964 And the Radius Hand Trowel Digger from Tractor Supply Store And Website is another one that I want to get and it's serrated on both sides and I have 2 leaches 🤔if that's how you spell it and I wish it was on both sides but they are not...
I added the serrated edge On the side without it on one of my tools and honestly I didn't see much difference. I almost never dig my initial plug with a hand tool though.
@@freedomdiggersmetaldetecti8964 I Was trying to tell @mase202 about the Radius Hand Trowel Digger that has it already done and yes on the initial Dig but it definitely depends on how deep the target is and if it's not that Deep the Hand Trowel Digger will work just Fine... and having the extra serrated edge is great...

I like my White's digmaster too. Handle is a bit clunky.

Once you get to the point where you have something durable It really does come down to ergonomics.
@@freedomdiggersmetaldetecti8964 the whites hand digger is lighter and stronger than the CKG.
$200 for a white's hand digger these days. $30 for the CKG.
I have the pheonix shovel. Best shovel imo. Looks like a great hand digger and not much more expensive than the garret which I use. Both great.
Anything Predator is top notch. Thanks for watching & weighing in!
I have the phoenix and the raptor. Both excellent. If i lose either one ill replace with another predator product. Great Quality and made in USA
Absolutely! Thanks for watching.
Nice video. Home Depot sells MD shovels.
I bought one of theirs for bottle digging. It only lasted 1 season!

I just can't seem to get used to having stuff on a leash. Drives me nuts!

Hello Brother, good to see you. I have 3 old Lesche hand diggers, and I love them.. lol
He really improved on the design with this latest version. Thanks for stopping by!

Awesome video! what side should the serrated part be like yours on the right or the left? im right handed if that makes a difference? thanks
I have had them serrated on the right hand side and on the left. And I seem to prefer on the right like the one in my video. Thanks for watching!

My Lesche is a little over 20 years old, and it only lost about 1.5 inches so far.
You'll never get that kind of mileage out of a hardware store special!
@@freedomdiggersmetaldetecti8964 Yep... 😄
Grave Digger Sidekick.
The make nice tools too. Thanks for watching!

Get an Excalibur shovel and trowel you can't best them.
I've heard good things about them. Maybe if my Predator ever wears out (in 20 years) I'll give them a try!
how does a detectorest loose a metal tool?😂
I was waiting for someone to ask that!
I went to 3 different sites bottle digging that day. I actually think it ended up buried.
