  • If you are between sizes S/M and L/XL, i.e., if your upper measurement is ~16”, and your lower is ~13”, I would suggest to try L/XL. The lower strap will be very tight in size S/M, and you may have to use a 2” to 3” long double-sided VELCRO to extend the lower strap.
    These knee & shin guards do not fit underneath REV’IT! Horizon 2 pants. The pants are Euro slim fit.
    If these guards are worn on top of pants, only half-length boots fit; full-length boots do not fit (boots: TCX Baja Gore-Tex Boots). Due to the lower part of the guard coming over the shin protector of the full-length boots, the lower strap becomes too short.
    I will search for pants under which these guards would fit, i.e., pants that are fuller in the legs. This will allow me to slip the lower part of the guards inside the full-length boots.

    Good info, thanks for posting. But do you think the large will fit ok under the pants?

    • @RajReviewsDualSportPhotoGadget
      @RajReviewsDualSportPhotoGadget  3 года назад +1

      My pants are the REV’IT Horizon 2, which have a slim fit, and these knee & shin guards did not fit inside the pants.
      My only option is to wear them outside. And because of this, they are not tucked inside my full length boots. And because they are on top of both my pants AND boots, the lower strap is not long enough to wrap around both the pant and the boot.
      As long as your pants are not slim fit, even a large should fit inside. The large covered my knee better from side-to-side.

    Hi, may I ask if they would be comfortable to wear over a week long motorcycle trip? Thanks

    • @RajReviewsDualSportPhotoGadget
      @RajReviewsDualSportPhotoGadget  Год назад +1

      These are very comfortable to wear. I have worn them over my riding pants, since they will not fit under the pants. I have worn them on 8 hrs a day four day rides, and they are easy to walk around in during stops along the ride.
      Please also review my other comments for more details.

    Does the L-XL size fit under the pants when worn with the TCX Baja full height Boot?

    • @RajReviewsDualSportPhotoGadget
      @RajReviewsDualSportPhotoGadget  Год назад +1

      They do not fit under the pants. I wear mine over the pants, with the pants tucked inside the TCX full height boots. Doing so, the lower strap of these knee/shin guards do not wrap around (they fall short in length), since the lower strap has to now also wrap around the full height boots. I secure the lower straps to the middle straps so that they are not hanging loose.

    I’m also trying to figure what size I should get. What is ur height and weight just for reference?

    • @RajReviewsDualSportPhotoGadget
      @RajReviewsDualSportPhotoGadget  3 года назад +2

      I am 5’8” & 145 lbs.
      I was at the upper end of Medium, and the lower end of Large, according to their size chart. If you are in the same scenario, I would suggest Large.
      These are very lightweight & comfortable, while walking, sitting, or taking the stairs. Because my riding pants are slim fit, I have to wear these on top of my pants. And because of this, the straps for the Large just barely make it around my legs.
      Ideally, these should be worn on mid-height boots. But if you plan on wearing these on top of full-length boots, the lower/shin strap might be a bit short to wrap around the leg. My full-length boots (TCX Baja GoreTex) have a pronounced shin protector, and the Leatt go over the boot shin protector. Because of this, the lower strap falls short, and I can’t wrap it around my shin.

      @@RajReviewsDualSportPhotoGadget Dirt bike boots. Excuse me if I called them the wrong thing. They are the boots that you see experienced dirt bike riders wearing they look like they come up halfway to the calf? I guess you are also a noob like I am?

      Hi @GreatBirdOfHope -
      Yes, I am a noob.🙂 It was the “high-style” part that I did not quite understand.
      I wear these Leatt on top of my full-length adventure boots, with my adventure riding pants tucked inside my boots. Because of the chin protector protrusion on the upper outside of my boots, the lower strap (closest to foot) of the Leatt is not long enough to wrap around my leg, due to a bit of a gap created by the chin protector protrusion.
      My boots look similar to these (mine are discontinued, though), which also come up halfway to the calf:

      Hope this helps answer your question.
