I remember finding Matthew and his youtube channel a few years back when he had 1k subscribers... so amazing to see hes getting the recognition he deserves
Seeing players of this caliber play this song, gives you an understanding of how absolutely fucking talented Stevie was. Dude was a monster playing that guitar and saying he was good doesn’t even begin to cover it. Fucking master. Love you Stevie. 🎸 🐐
This is all very good, but there’s just something about Matthew man… It’s like the guitar itself speaks, through him! The blues is flowing freely in his veins, man!
I love that matthew was using the cleanest guitar tone and therefore had to play twice as good and exact as the others and still he showed them who's boss
This gives a good look at the influence Steve Ray had on guitar players. Andy is his own beast, but the other three had Stevie's style down cold!! RIP SRV!!!
Andy Timmons when he gets home from the gig and says to his wife…”oh babe, what a crazy night… I played with these guys who all sounded exactly the same!”
I thought they were all excellent but, Jesus Christ, the older guy on the left absolutely roofed the place. Took the other 3 about 2 minutes to recover from the absolute destruction left behind. I’m a bit of a Stevie clone player myself, and even my pants were pulled down watching it. Great video
I don’t know why you would stop recording in the middle of an amazing jam session live!!!! Definitely need to see this whole show with Andy Timmons and an all star cast really good SRV clones!
Remember, kids: 1. SRV didn't grow up with access to SRV records, videos, how-to videos, tabs, transcriptions; and 2. "Hard rockin' blues" is a very close cousin of "hard rock" but is quite a far cousin from other kinds of blues (including the familiar electric 3 - 5 piece formats), some of which achieve much depth, contain much charm, and create deepest of grooves, all with very little muscular hot-blooded searing raunchiness.
Matt Scott has that super clean cuttin through tone...the other dudes are using pedals but by contrast...you can hear the more authentic SRV sound coming from the cleaner tone.
I confess I only know who 2 of these guys are. Matthew and Andy. Where I'll take nothing away from anyone here these guys are all fine players, Matthew and Andy are also the "stand outs" for me. Matthew's tone is the most vibrant and he and Andy both leaked enough of their own fires and styles into what they were playing to be a bit more interesting to me without sounding redundant. I'd never gotten to witness Matthew in a live setting before I'd only heard him on his channel but he definitely became a player of interest to me from first listen and I think he's amazingly talented, I was impressed to see him my first time on a stage with the great Andy Timmons.
That audience had quit a show that night, all the guitarist were great but Andy is in another league such a humble guy with no ego, his talent and demour says it all.🎸♨️👍💪
Matthew has it on this one. Tommy tries to go with speed to stand out and it just got lost with me. Actually found myself not even paying attention to it. Matthew had the soul that made you grit your teeth and lean in along with him.
I remember finding Matthew and his youtube channel a few years back when he had 1k subscribers... so amazing to see hes getting the recognition he deserves
Same thing dude...I was blown away by his playing, and it is so cool to see him getting the recognition he deserves.
Hes a beast!
"All great players but Matthew Scott stole the show, that's dude got the chops"
Me too he’s one hell of a player
Same here!
Matthew scott is an absolute beast 🔥
Absolutely
tommys voice is nearly spot on man. incredible
All really good pickers. M. Scott is a giant! Nice pick work!
Let's be honest here, Any Timmons is a whole different class! :-)
for sure! but he mixes so well
Yeah all were quite good (great tone Matthew) but Andy is well and truly in a league of his own up there.
I was thinking the same thing. All GREAT players, but it felt like 3 (really good) SRV clones and 1 original voice
Hes a professional studio guitarist thats been around for 3 decades.... he knows his shit.....
Andy plays like he's the guy who knows all the answers on Jeopardy, but waits for everyone else to guess before getting it right.
That crowd got their moneys worth and then some. Incredible jam.
We need more of this stuff. Killer Strat players playing some killer strats. SRV would be proud of you guys.
Timmons is a hell of a player! The Strat tone coming off that stage is the winner here!!! Luv me a Strat!
I'm so happy to see Matthew playing live again. If he won't gonna make it no one will
Nice to watch Matthew over here playing with these great cats!
Scott? Love the fact that he goes deeply for the vintage. A lot of people aren't used to hearing an actual guitar amp. Takes me back. Wonderful.
So glad to see Matthew Scott up there! I'm rooting
That looks like fun! There's nothing like being around guitar players who appreciate the same music.
I took my son to this show. Man it was great and we got to meet Mathew and Andy. Super nice guys and the playing was incredible.
Great Players ! I met Tommy and Wes, about 20 years ago and you knew these guys were going to be Great Players !
That was some blisteringly soulful playing!
I've never seen so many players in one place keep completely nail SRV and the tone. This was awesome.
The voice seals the deal...............this is EPIC
@@pmolitierno right? I've I closed my eyes I would think it was the man him self up on stage.
Just goes to show SRV wannabe clones are literally a dime dozen
Sure they’re talented, but they couldn’t be any less original.
Yawwwwwn
SRV is probably the easiest blues player to imitate.
Seeing players of this caliber play this song, gives you an understanding of how absolutely fucking talented Stevie was. Dude was a monster playing that guitar and saying he was good doesn’t even begin to cover it. Fucking master. Love you Stevie. 🎸 🐐
Simply amazing killer Strat players. Stevie is smiling down. His legacy lives on. I’m so inspired brothers!
It’s Literally Stevie’s voice
that´s what I thought, it´s really amazing!
Nice to see Timmons with a strat and his magic, Katona impresive on SRV tribute
Matt had best tone!
Easily
This is all very good, but there’s just something about Matthew man… It’s like the guitar itself speaks, through him! The blues is flowing freely in his veins, man!
Scott is a hell of a player. He can hold his own on any stage. I’d like to see some collaboration between my man T. Bukovac and Scott!
Tommy, the tone just CUTS through!
Wes tone is spot on! And Mathew’s cleaner take was a bold statement- so clear but yet it cuts through like a knife
Thanks for posting! Amazing performance by all :)
Niceee. Great to Matthew up there doing his thing. Amazing playing by everyone.
Someone’s been studying live at the el Macambo.
I’m in Stratocaster heaven!!!! Truly gifted musicians!!!!!
So lucky to have front row seats to this show (kid in the grey hat), amazing show!
Haha. I saw u there. Didn’t u take a picture with Matthew? I think that was you
@@MaddoxMelton yes! lol
This is killer! What I would love to see in person!!
If you close your eyes and didn’t know who was playing you would think it was STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN SINGING.
what a voice!!!!!!!!
Not only is the playing stellar but the matching haircuts is wicked cool as well!
I love that matthew was using the cleanest guitar tone and therefore had to play twice as good and exact as the others and still he showed them who's boss
He’s a great player but he’s not the boss on that stage.
@@Panic42000 well, I think he is
Andy was king on this one
Matthew is on fireeee
This gives a good look at the influence Steve Ray had on guitar players. Andy is his own beast, but the other three had Stevie's style down cold!! RIP SRV!!!
Andy Timmons when he gets home from the gig and says to his wife…”oh babe, what a crazy night… I played with these guys who all sounded exactly the same!”
@Ed Raposo Correct!
Amazing jam, imho Tommy Katona is just the full package if we are talking about authentic SRV, nobody's closer to him than Tommy.
Matthew's tone is fantastic,!
Looks like a band called The Strats
What amazing guitarists these guys are
I hate to make musical judgements but Tommy blew everyone away in this one
Freakin awesome to watch great players get off on the other guy’s hot ass guitar playing.
Matthew Scott is tearing it up👍🎸🔥🔥🔥🔥
Beautiful Stevie tones! Miss him so much
Texasflooded my brain..love it..the sweet smell of Stratocaster salad aka SRV…good stuff
This is an old tune... but everyone that covers it plays it SRV style... now that’s a real monster!
I thought they were all excellent but, Jesus Christ, the older guy on the left absolutely roofed the place. Took the other 3 about 2 minutes to recover from the absolute destruction left behind. I’m a bit of a Stevie clone player myself, and even my pants were pulled down watching it.
Great video
That guy is Andy Timmons. He's been a world class session player and solo artist for over 3 decades. So yes, he's in another league from the other 3.
@@Hahnsoulo first time seeing him. No idea who he was. Excuse my ignorance. He’s a fucking wizard, Harry. Wow.
Great jam but damn! Andy's solo at 6:25 is just epic! Class act!
What a hoot! Some sweet licks by everyone.
I don’t know why you would stop recording in the middle of an amazing jam session live!!!! Definitely need to see this whole show with Andy Timmons and an all star cast really good SRV clones!
SRV is shining down with a big smile !!!
Fantastic playing all around, a great tribute to the legendary SRV.
thank you so much for sharing!!
Everyone else: let me copy SRV licks as much as possible; Andy Timmons: this is how you do it children.
Man, those are some heavy hitters; definitely the top of the batting order!
Going to see Wes Jeans trio in Mobile Ala tonight. Peoples listening room. Can’t fucking wait !!
My favorite video on the internet
Loved it - everyone was great!
All 4 killed it..Good stuff.
Matthew had that sweet SRV tone😍
Their all monsters , but Andy is just next level (sorry guys , the guy has god particles ) amazing jam and kudos to all who played 🙏
Mat got that mojo relic

Well, that was fun….very cool…
Sounds like Stevies soul been sharing his voice! well done all of you
The bassist as a Squier with a golden leaf logo that shines... all the guitarists have Fender but you can't see the logo with such quality! Nice
Matthew is amazing. And so young. Made Stevie proud.
Ol East Texas fella Wes Jeans.
This is awesome
Not many guitarists can play at Andy’s level but I thought Tommy’s solo was up there. Wes and Matt are great players.
Matt just brings it. Tearing shit up!
Anyone know who is playing thru the Soldano? Is that the SRV SLO100? All 4 guys sounded great.
Phenomenal performance by these guys! Take their names and watch them on RUclips!
Thx for sharing man
You know just how good srv was when it takes a bunch of guitar players to do one of his songs!
Matt Scott has that super clean cuttin through tone...the other dudes are using pedals but by contrast...you can hear the more authentic SRV sound coming from the cleaner tone.
Lets go Matt, fukin fire🔥
Those things have whammy bars too. It cut before the bass and drums got some apparently. Still nice job.

excellence on display.

Nice to hear guys trading classic this licks. Got my favourite though.
All lined up... BRING ON THE BARBERS!!!
BADASSERY GOING GOOD N HERE!!! 🎶💙🥰💙🎶
spectacular!!!
I was there!
Well done, Matthew Scott!
Monster Matt!!
Please someone upload a tab of this
Wow!! Good stuff 👍
Love me some Wes!
Matthew has it on this one. Tommy tries to go with speed to stand out and it just got lost with me. Actually found myself not even paying attention to it. Matthew had the soul that made you grit your teeth and lean in along with him.
Great job from the FOH 👍
Who is the hungarian boy? genius!!! Listen!!!😎
What's the collective noun for a group of Blues guitarists? I'm thinking "A watchtower" . . . .
Truly amazing
Matthew Scott is the man. Idk the other guys but I'm gonna check em out.
once again, I say, damn.
