- So I did a little trolling in this game and let's just say the Allies weren't happy with it.
This might just be the most OP tank in the current HOI4 Multiplayer meta to the point that nothing can pierce it.
This caused a bit of drama with the Allies and led to people rage qutting and the game almost dying.

@@survivalist2607 they had the ability to develop technology that could pierce them (and already had such technology). if such an ability definitively didnt exist surrender wouldnt be that unreasonable

You drive around them and attack the trucks in the rear.
However Hearts of Iron don't allow a sweeping flank maneuver nor over-running and enveloping divisions.

If my armour or mobile units outnumber yours, and I am on the offensive, I get a number of my units bogged down by your smaller armour force, but the rest are allowed to attack openly. So if I throw 4 tank armies of 10 tanks each at your two infantry squads of one superheavy tank destroyer each you can pin down the tank Destroyers 'mobile firepower' value which may be a number between 1 and 5 based on a tank to tank destroyer comparison. To represent their ability to support and survive the encounter with infantry support and defensive deployment.
The Maus would be slow but difficult to defeat or force to withdraw doing an excellent Assault gun holding key points.
So maybe a single unit of Maus could pin 4 armour and mobile brigades in difficult fighting.
Then we compare the rest of our armies, and my tanks are allowed to inflict terrible casualties on you.
My my 40 tanks fight 2 Maus pinning 8 of my elements (which if fantastic by the way) but my remaining 32 can erode the infantry support. When things are more balanced like 1 Maus for every 3 infantry, then my entire army is getting bogged down in Maus Combat.
Because a Maus can support 3 additional infantry on defense.
While a firefly with better mobility and firepower and maintenance and less espensive to produce might get a 4.5 width but suffer more losses because they can be penned.

How are the allies not able to build a tank that pierces 90 armor, just build some proper TDs
Really only thing that can pierce 90+ is HAT 2, or buffed HAT 1. Hard to get by 41 unless rushed with research buffs.
Edit: also AT IV 76mm turret.

because hoi4 calcuates the armor value completly wrong. you can put one high armor brigade into a div and the whole div gets a lot of armor. its just dumb and usually banned
It's like space marines, but in this case is super heavy tanks and light tanks. That division costs probably the same as a full medium one, consumes less supply but has almost twice the armour.
It's not an exploit per se, but has to be banned, otherwise everyone needs to make super heavies all the time.
Fun non-relative fact: The incomplete Langer Gustav was estimated to fire from Calais, France to London, England. However, thanks to intense allies bombing on Essen, the gun would not be completed.

While I understand SA's and Canada's frustration, they knew ahead of time if you watch the stream and moved their tank divisions out. They claim they knew from intel but they were probably watching the stream. Which means they should have known half of Italy's battleships were on refit. They should have raided the hell out of the med, bombed the railways harder, built better AT and tried to hold. Or naval invaded behind, adapt and overcome, if you figure the game is lost cause of the gamed strat by Dankus, you might as well go balls to the wall. They all put a few hours in at this point, quitting just ruins it for everyone else.
Yes the thing I have found with Africa is the supply issue for both the Allies and the Axis.
Cut the Axis supply off by Convoy raiding down the West Coast of Africa, and also the Bay of Biscay with Submarines.
Even do the same in the Med, and Hold Gibraltar at all costs to Convoy raid from, and maintain Air Superiority if possible,
There comes a point in time if Allies have built good supply lines in Africa, that they can hold the Allies off, and after taking out Italian Somalia, can actually begin the push forward, by using their air bases and improving them, to allow CAS and Fighters to be deployed.
If you can hold the Axis off around ASWAN and give them hell in the West African theatre it allows the Americans to perform the Torch landings.
