- Welcome to the prime example of why you don't give Dankus the ability to do paratroopers, after this game Bokoen should honestly just ban paradropping from Dankus because they were PROBLEMATIC to say the least.
All I'm gonna say is there might have been A LOT of rule breaking (by accident ok) and lots of paratrooper memes in this HOI4 MP...

To clarify:
1. Paradropping on a unit makes it become overrun which makes no sense.
2. Paradropping behind units can also lead to the divisions pushed being overrun.
Therefore there are rules to prevent people from that and mod team were right to call me out on it. All I have to do is spend 2 seconds thinking about it before I do it to not break rules but god gave me the ADHD trait.

Paratroopers being banned from doing the only thing they're good for. Might as well fully disable them.
Those rules give the paradroped player enough time to react. Beacuse you can't make insta encircle.
Well, you can, with good timing, but with bad one you will break the rules.
Anyway don't know if those implications are a product of the rule or their intent, but that's my thoughts.

It's really not that complicated. you can't paradrop on tiles adjacent to the frontlines because it leads to cheesy encirclements, and you can't paradrop on ports if theres units there. Dankus is just memeing way too close to the sun imo.

To prevent the enemy from breaking through your frontline and encircling/overrunning you with fast units? I also fail to see how he "exploited" with paratroopers by using them how they were meant to be used. Like aren't they meant to disrupt supply and facilitate pushes?

@Thomas Johansson exactly. I understand when bo clowns dankus sometimes because they aren't metagamers, they're there for a fun evening with the bois. But purposefully throwing away what is equivalent to a 6th of the German economy for allied minors is just a brain dead way to play.
the only rule i heard that was utterly ridiculous was dropping on ports with units guarding, almost all those rules assumes you have total knowledge where all the enemies troops are at
1: pretty safe bet to say there are troops on ports
2:you actually can check. Sending ships near a port can easily tell you if troops are or aren’t present

Let me get this straight: you can’t drop Paratroops on tiles where a unit is retreating to and you can’t drop Paratroops on tiles where there are units already? Why not just ban them at that point?
There are point, you see in the video that Dankus use them correctly sometimes
There are specific rule and such, just anything beside them are legal
They're a bunch of fools who don't understand the concept of having reserves and think it's "inefficient", then ban nearly all useful paradrops because the entire point of a paradrop is to catch the enemy off-guard, where he has no reserves to smack them with. This is enforced incompetence and laziness.

If fighters are not Intercepting in Home territory then put them Air Superiority to deny the enemy such an attack on your turf. Most Players just want to CAS and Spam Tanks . They are lazy and won't learn the finer points of the art of war.
@@roboparks I have suggested physically flinging copies of The Art of War at people like this. They only take 2 tools out of their toolbox and wonder why they can't fix something that needs 5, then cry foul rather than getting the tools they need to do the job properly. It's a loser's mindset. My own games tend to be less efficient on paper, but I have a lot of versatility with more varied designs and strategies if something goes sideways. Even the CAS can help a little to clear the skies if you slap some MGs on.

Allies so cucked a normal person would have a stroke trying to deal with them, rules so cucked no one can do anything interesting. That one game a while ago where Ireland outplayed Bo and Golden with paras on El-Alamein was another "rule break."
Why on earth would anyone play multiplayer when it's full of aggressively incompetent noobs like this?
I mean genius, Dankus on the Allies and that game is not Ireland outplayed them, it Paradox ( it a thing in game that paradrop counted as already taken the title despite there a battle )

That one game where Ireland outplayed Bo and golden also show why this rule exists. It isn’t fun to watch all your units die because of a paradropping behind you (they also explained that a garrison wouldn’t have helped them there).

These clowns don't even understand the concept of reserves, and would brush the idea of a back line off as "inefficient" when it is the natural counter to a para-drop. A mobile reserve would be even better. They deserved what they got. They deserve it ten times over. They also deserve to have "The Art of War" physically thrown at them.

Legit; the game mechanic encourages you to play semi-historically. "We better have soldiers garrison the strategic points we control." Players then went "BUT I WANT EVERYTHING ON THE FRONT LINE?" and make a rule against it.
Ultimately, it's Paradox's fault. The new garrison system is much more convenient, but it also doesn't _actually_ represent soldiers defending the territory. Otherwise paratroopers would _always_ fight pseudo-battles when dropping on cities. They don't, though. Now people don't want to _actually_ garrison because they're already spending resources to garrison it.
Because even if they garrison behind their tank for example, once the para drop and started the battle those unit is considered encircled by the game and just die
And also the cancerous para hoping where you paradrop from deep in enemies territoties and just drop from one airport to another

Nobody seems to understand complicated things like "mobile reserves" and "secondary defensive lines" which are natural counters to para drops.

If the meta included that you'd end up with a bunch of minors being dedicated "mobile reserves" players who do nothing all game except supply a bunch of shitter infantry that can't contribute in any way outside guarding against drops. No one wants to join a several hour long game only be told "you're never going to fight on the front, just garrison everything.
What seems to always happen with failed ddays is that the allies never stop their offensive for logistics to catch up or for more troops/supplies to arrive, while in real life the allies for example halted their advance at the German border, because of the exhaustion they had accumulated and German defenses had become hardened

I could understand not paradroping on the frontline, or on retreating units. But not being allowed to paradrop on a garrisoned port? That doesn't make sense to me at all
They used to do that but it so gamey, you could just retreat out of the port which mean your paradrop doesnt die

Pretty much. The mechanics for paratroopers are bonkers broken - two paratroopers can land on forty thousand men who are retreating from a tile and all forty thousand will die. So if you're playing multiplayer, both sides agree to limit the use of paratroopers to avoid this happening.

And Paratroopers landing on a occupied tile should be considered as encirclement in micro due to Paratroopers landing "behind the lines"
These rules exist to make ppl who didnt understand how to play game in all these years and mindlessly refuse to learn from their mistakes feel better about themselfes.
