Land Rover builds vehicles that can overcome just about any off-road challenge, but their pricetags may leave owners reluctant to take them into the woods. The new Range Rover Velar can’t hang with its maker’s most capable cars, but its optional air suspension enables it to cross a two-foot-deep waterway, and it looks, feels, and drives better than any other Land Rover on pavement. The Velar is easily recognizable as a Land Rover, but its sleek, compact look will make it a perfect fit at the valet stand. Too bad the name Range Rover Sport wasn’t available.
The Range Rover Velar offers three engines, a 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder with 247 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque, a 2.0-liter turbodiesel with 180 hp and 317 lb-ft, and a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 with 380 hp and 332 lb-ft. The turbodiesel gets the best mileage, but the supercharged V6 is fastest by far. Our reviewer enjoyed the Velar’s double-screen infotainment system quite a bit for the first few days, but observed some issues later.

Land Rover's all-new Velar is a sportier Range Rover Sport that’s better on pavement.
Most Land Rover owners have enough income and free time to spend a week and $10,000 off-roading in Colorado. That isn’t sarcasm-it’s a pleasant reality for this luxury SUV brand. Cash-rich buyers will enjoy the new Velar, the fourth and certainly not the last new model in the growing Range Rover family. Why buy one of these over a larger Sport or the smaller Evoque? That's the burning, leather seat-massaging question we’re here to answer.

I just love how they made the design more minimalist and yet they ended up revealing more of Range Rover's design.
Interesting review done with style and grace. Bravo!
Good review I agree about the screens .....simple buttons this is off putting when on the move
Classy touch dressing nicely for this review. Man, this is a beautiful car.
AMAZING review....
All I want in a car is gorgeous and super comfort. This car is it.
Yes it has the class too
Awesome 😀 😀 2018 Land Rover range Rover velar review .
Drop-dead gorgeous.
Every time he says "Vay-Larrrr", I laugh lol.
Not sure if he's actually saying it the right way or not, but I'm just so used to hearing it pronounced as "Vuh-lar"
What's the name of the color? Is this byron blue??
When can you review the Lincoln Navigator Black Label Yacht Club
Talk to Doug, he's already done that hahaha
Looks good
What’s up with the 70’s background music?
I feel the urge to by some double knit pants...lime of course why
Byron blue😍
What a car it is so superb
i'm in love..
"Let's stop standing around and drive"... more than half the video elapses before driving.
One of my friends collected his Velar last week, it covered only 54 miles before the gearbox failed completely, new gearbox being fitted after Xmas. Land Rover need to focus on a vast improvement in reliability instead of introducing more vehicles.
Great video....but the background music is distracting and useless.
Touchscreen is lagging
Only on Vids, if you try it irl it actually isn't that bad
Real buttons always.
I love the color but who in ham, sam is going to pay $90 for a car that looks like a new version of the FORD EXPLORER AND WITH NO BACK LEG ROOM. HAHAHAHAH
its not veylar, Its ''VELER''
It's potato, not potato.
I don't think so. Designed for small people only and not enough universal features for the Big price tag
Think not
Beg to differ, it’s remarkably comfortable for large people. I’m 6’2 and 245lbs, I experienced the Velar at the International Car Show and found
the seated design ergonomic, with spacious leg & side room in the front seats.
He says Velar like it’s spelled Valar
Shift knob borrowed from Chrysler/Dodge
Shannon Zittlow no Chrysler borrows from Jaguar who’s been using it for many years, long before Chrysler copied it. Jaguar and Land Rover are the same company.... sorry😒
Doesn’t this kid have long hair now
90k and doesnt have Android or Apple carplay
Derek L. It does, he just didn’t mention it
It does have Spotify instead of old fashioned XM, excellent choice
Jets lol
This review doesn't offer anything new.
Neither does Land Rover now, the all have the same look across the whole range, not individual anymore ! And when all those electrics go faulty, which no doubt they will........nightmare !
Hungry Boy Land rover produces Fashion statement cars, it isn't hard to tell
Given the luxurious ambiance and driving dynamics of this vehicle, it's a shame that it still lags behind some many other luxury vehicles priced much lower. The historical dependability of the Land Rover brand is rather pathetic.
whut...
can you elaborate as to what it lags in comparison? Except tad on the infotainment, will love to hear your issues
Really? BMW and Audi have some of the worst customer satisfaction as far as car problems under warranty in The uk, dependability? Lol jeep is using Fiat parts lol in Europe Fiat in the industry stands for Fix It Again Tomorrow lol, so what is this missing luxury that lower price models have?
@Bill olu Compton please try self ok
I think that it is unsafe car and too distracting! I would not let a young adult drive it
Gay music
Looks good
