I was in Hua hin with some friends about for weeks ago and I met this guy who was visiting for like a month and he was maybe 58 met a girl at a bar and fell in love and she could barely speak English, Which for myself is a deal breaker, she was in her 30's and he set her up in an apartment to keep her out of the bar and he wasn't planning on coming back for a year. This will turn out bad for sure. If your not here 24/7 forget it. These gals have many clients, they are not going to sit at home reading books when you are out of the country.
The bargirl said, "I'll do anything for 10,000 baht." I replied, "Can you cook, clean my condo and walk my dog?"

I really enjoy your hair dresser friend’s stories😊 I’ve been vacationing in Pattaya two months each year for over 30 years. I often spend my afternoons in bars and gent clubs hearing the delusional stories from what seems to be the endless stream of clueless men who travel here and believe the lies they are told by bar girls. At this stage in my life it I almost look forward to their crazy stories as much as the boom boom! How can men be so gullible!
Some of us just like to learn things the Hard way some of us need to go down the Pattaya rabbit hole as the saying goes you live you LEARN this is how we gain experience in life....Live love Thailand 🎉🎉🎉
I have been coming to Thailand for several years and stay for a few months. I met a girl at one of the well known GC and we have been friends for the last two years. She no longer works in a bar but supports herself. No sick water buffalo or parents to support, just a small child that lives with her. We all do a lot of fun things together when I’m there. She cooks dinner for me. I do help her with money from time to time to improve her living conditions but not enough to hurt my bank account. If she finds another boyfriend, I’m OK with it because we are just very good friends.

I had a buddy of mine come to visit me in when I was in Thailand years ago. I had a few trips under my belt already and warned him of the dangers before we headed out the first night. He literally fell in love with the first girl he met (A cashier in a bar who was maybe a 4 out of 10 on a good day), spent the rest of his 3 week holiday with her. Then he went back to the country on his own 3 separate times after to see her and she finally got so creeped out by him she ghosted him. The guy was so heartbroken he was considering self deleting over a 4.

It's no problem to fall in love, as long as you know how to fall out of love again as well. I did both with a 22 year old stunner bar girl this year. When being in Pattaya two times for the first time ever. Visited family and everything. I'm 58. Got too expensive in the end, and too many lies. So I decided to fall out of love. Now I fell in love with a 39 year old Cambodian farmer who doesn't speak English online. Will meet in November. I'm curious what this story will have in store for me. 😂
The lesson is simply: "Don't trust many Thai girls. If possible have a good friend check on her. GOOD FRIEND= A farang you trust to do the right thing.
Or, friends from home country to check on her in country.
I recently met a friend I hadn't spoke to in a while. He's 'met' thai girl online, paid for her nose /boob job. Booked flights to go see her. A week before he was due to fly out she tells him shes got a 'new job' in a different city and 'cant' see him because the training is all day for 7 days................she still asked him for more $$$$ until he finally woke up! - ahaha

Perfectly explained, Daz. Anyone who can accept that it is an illusion that is rewarded with a reasonable amount of money can have the time of their life with Thai women. However, you have to experience it yourself to really understand it.

I like the idea of a 1 day rule for newbies. Also might want to add only do Short Term, no Long Term. Less chance of getting wrapped up because they will leave quickly.

(Currently, I fly between Thailand and Medellin. Medellin is a lot more dangerous than Thailand. In the past, I brought a Shanghai girl to the US and got married, then divorced. Lost $1.2 million dollars)

Not sure I understand. Have you sent one or some ladies $500 before even meeting them in person? If so, just think of it as tuition toward a course in Thai lady social interaction. How much you ultimately want to pay for the lesson is up to you. Don't feel bad or that you are the only one who has taken this course. Rest assured, many have done far worse and seem to never learn.
I think I'll stick with the 3 Girl Rule and treat them all like I would if they were my girlfriends yet have the money ready in the morning.

I always break the 3 day rule, because I find we have more fun when we get to know each other better. Be honest with the lady, let her know that you know the score, take the pi55 when she gets messages from other 'boyfriends', take the pi55 if she calls you Tirak or tries to lovebomb you. Remember every morning its business when you give her 'taxi fare' in the morning, Don't see her every day. Make sure her only point of contact with you is Line, disable Line at airport if you think you might be a sucker.

I want to hire one of the male bar hosts to give me dating advice.
The problem is that the Western p4p system is basically honest..the Pattaya way is built on lies and bs... Once this is realised it's the bs that makes it unpalatable. I rarely buy lady drinks and never pay for company. Of course this means I'm nearly always alone.. but I can't enjoy spending time with someone who is basically trying to treat me like an idiot..
The food and the weather are still nice though. 😎

Trusting and kind does not have to include giving away hundreds or 1000s of dollars. When a Thai girl asks me for money, I invite her to come clean and cook for 100k an hour. 95% will pass cause it is easier to find a simp or ugly old man that will just give them 500 or 1000 and ask for nothing. It is a flex of their money.

I had a gal telling me all about how horrible her upbringing was and how she never experienced love from the family members who raised her after her mother passed away when she was 5, etc. I'm a nice guy and I'm sure she thought I was going to go, "Awwwww", give her a big hug, and promise to give her all the love and affection she needs. Instead, I just took another drink of my Chang and said, "I'm sorry to hear you hard such a hard time growing up." You could tell it was not at all what she was expecting.😂
