on a unidoby fairlane where it can be a major to install track bars, multiple leaf pack clamps (about 8 per side) and a set of high end air adjust shocks, will keep the twist two a minimum, up front big block country squire station wagon springs and some 60-40 shock absorbers is all you need to keep cost reasonable, have a tough setup and good weight transfer, our 66 gta tripower, would run a 5.86 1/8th with that setup
Impressive to get an old school car like that in the 10's you must be good, many years ago i knew someone who built a 427 L-88 camaro, dual quads and he was running the same times. Myself i had a Yenko clone 67 Camaro, 427/425 with 456 gears and a 4 speed, easy 12 second street car if you consider 456 gears 'street' gears, great to see such old classics still running from back in the day
leaf spring wheel hop is certainly controllable. However, track conditions and other issues can certainly cause an otherwise competitive car to fail starting line traction. Pro-stock cars (for instance) spend lavishly on controlling traction, and then tire shake (the illegitimate cousin of wheel hop) sets in. Stuff happens.
Just Remember all.. This car is a multi time Record Holder. Every car has an off day.. This car has got a total redo since the vid.. Next time you see it.. Look out..
AND YOU AINT GONNA FIND A MORE SOLID GUY THAN CHRIS....A STRAIGHT-UP MAN AND CREDIT TO THIS SPORT AND ALL US OTHER FORD OWNERS
