By the time they reach season 10 the show will lose its meaning because writers will leave or be exhausted of ideas. I say give it another 6 seasons but make each season 24-25 eps(yes that many). One of my all-time favorite shows ran that way and it remained success up to the last season and that was due to two of the main stars leaving the show.

Rewatching this scene and I just love the subtle, tiny details in Karen's expressions, she realises what Matt is gonna say just before he actually say it. Exactly at 1:17. Or, in other words, Matt purposedly wait with telling it. Karen looks at the mask, and then Matt, realises and Matt says it only then. Brilliant, thats why that sentence is so powerful.
This identity reveal feels much more satisfying than in the movies because it took 26 episodes (almost 26 hours). But still, nothing beats "It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me." from Batman Begins.

Karen Page Why couldn't they do an adaptation of _Born Again_ in which she's not a drug-addicted porn star? Doesn't seem to me that it would be very hard to do. We know that Karen (on the show) has some skeletons in her closet. Consider, for example, just before she shoots Wesley she says, "Do you really think this is the first time I've shot someone?" Or again, in season 2, when Frank Castle remarks that "Maybe it's not your first rodeo," Karen responds by saying, "Maybe it isn't." What they could do is something like this: Fisk digs up some dirt on Karen, and, believing that she can give up some dirt on Matt, he threatens to expose what he has on her (and perhaps even do worse than that, like maybe kill her family). He doesn't even have to do it directly; he could do it by proxy, so that she doesn't even know he's involved. And so, thinking it the best of all her very bad options, she decides to give up Matt's identity as Daredevil. I don't like the drug-addicted-porn-star part of the comic book plot either. In fact, I think it's probably the worst part of an otherwise INCREDIBLE story. Frankly, however, I think Marvel would have to be stupid to not try to adapt what is widely considered to be one of the greatest comic book stories of all time. Tweaking the show's plot so that Karen has a respectable job as a journalist, as opposed to being where the comics have her, was a very smart move IMO, and one that I don't think in any way works against the basic plot of _Born Again_ .
Karen Page I'm not sure they really need to do a whole lot more setup for the _Born Again_ arc because so many of the pieces have already fallen into place. Besides what I said above about Karen having some skeletons in her closet, we also have these to consider: 1) Fisk has gained so much power in prison that it's really not even a prison for him anymore. He can do pretty much whatever he wants in there and can get out whenever he chooses. 2) He's threatened to "dismantle the lives" of Matt and Foggy. 3) He's shown requesting information on Matt. He has to be doing this in order to find some way to "dismantle" his life. 4) As shown in this video, Karen now knows that Matt is Daredevil. 5) We should also note that by the end of season 2, Matt's not exactly in a very good position himself. He has (among other things) lost his law practice and alienated two of his closest friends (which is why he's revealing his secret identity to Karen - it's a desperation move to try to save some face). Moreover, his erratic behavior over the course of the season could easily lead to suspicion that there's something in his life he'd rather keep hidden. Because of all this, it seems likely to me that they'll do _Born Again_ in season 3, as I think they pretty much have it set up already. I suppose they could have Karen add some more skeletons to her closet in the _Punisher_ series, as I think I've read somewhere that she's going to be in that show. We might also start getting some hints that Fisk plans to make a move to extract information from her.

In fact, realistically, I see Fisk getting out by rigging his trial."_ Yes, I agree that's most likely what he'll do, but I don't think it's because that's the only way he can get out of prison. I see Fisk as a man who succeeds in his criminal endeavors by using his public image to manipulate and control. This is why he chooses to remain in prison and "play the long game," as he puts it -- he needs to repair his public image. It seems to me that framing Nelson and Murdock for illegally fixing the trial that convicted him would be a great way to go about accomplishing this. As for the plastic cup, I dunno. I mean, if he could get the bottle of wine and the steak, I don't see why he couldn't get something better than a plastic cup to drink from. Maybe he just likes (or at least doesn't mind) drinking from a plastic cup. And as for the cell, well, there aren't exactly any luxury suites in prison. He does have a nice TV to watch in there, though. I don't know a whole lot about prison life, but it's my understanding that prison cells in the US don't usually come with those. _"Actually I think might 86 the whole thing about Karen ousting Matt's identity. See, in his last scene in "Man in the Box," Fisk feels the split lip he sustained from the only blow Matt managed to land while Fisk was throttling him, contemplates it for a moment, and then demands to be brought his file on Matt. Like he recognized Matt's fighting style or something. So I think he already suspects it."_ It might have gotten him wondering, but I don't think that alone could convince him. All Matt really does is push his hands out of the way and headbutt him. I think even a blind person without any special abilities might be able to manage that. Besides, if Karen doesn't do _anything_ wrong, then there's no reason for him to forgive her, and I think the story would suffer if they were to leave that part out completely. I think they could pull this off without dragging her through the mud like the comics do. _"In the Born Again arc, one of the ways Fisk ruined Matt's life was by paying a cop named Nick Manolis to testify that he saw Matt pay a witness to perjure himself. And Manolis is doing all this in exchange for medical treatments for his son. Perhaps Brett Mahoney ends up taking up this role, forced to frame up Matt in exchange for medical treatments for his mother."_ Yep, I think they could do something like that. I think they could also make a case against Matt convincing enough for Karen to angrily confront him about it, but not before they secretly plant an eavesdropping device on her so they can listen in on the argument... That way, she's not _completely_ innocent (since she initially trusts the bad guys over Matt), but she doesn't just straight-up betray him like comic book Karen does. Anyway, it's just a thought. But like you said, let's see what _Defenders_ and _Punisher_ have to offer. Maybe they'll even come up with something that'll completely blow our minds!
Matt lied to them for three seasons, scolded them for doing what he did the legal way, and put them on the radar of not only law enforcement, but violent mobsters and death cults, but Karen and Foggy are being the unreasonable ones....sure.
I really like how the character daredevil is portrayed in this series. Matt was always strong and wanted to do everything by himself. But he finally realised that he couldn't go on. He needed the person he loves to be by his side. So he exposed himself to her. Now of course this might lead to an unfortunate outcome for page but at least it shows the human side of the daredevil is still there and can't hide anymore. (I mean, not everyone can be batman right? 😂)

Why couldn't they do an adaptation of _Born Again_ in which she's not a drug-addicted porn star? Doesn't seem to me that it would be very hard to do. We know that Karen (on the show) has some skeletons in her closet. Consider, for example, just before she shoots Wesley she says, "Do you really think this is the first time I've shot someone?" Or again, in season 2, when Frank Castle remarks that "Maybe it's not your first rodeo," Karen responds by saying, "Maybe it isn't."
What they could do is something like this: Fisk digs up some dirt on Karen, and, believing that she can give up some dirt on Matt, he threatens to expose what he has on her (and perhaps even do worse than that, like maybe kill her family). He doesn't even have to do it directly; he could do it by proxy, so that she doesn't even know he's involved. And so, thinking it the best of all her very bad options, she decides to give up Matt's identity as Daredevil.
I don't like the drug-addicted-porn-star part of the comic book plot either. In fact, I think it's probably the worst part of an otherwise INCREDIBLE story. Frankly, however, I think Marvel would have to be stupid to not try to adapt what is widely considered to be one of the greatest comic book stories of all time. Tweaking the show's plot so that Karen has a respectable job as a journalist, as opposed to being where the comics have her, was a very smart move IMO, and one that I don't think in any way works against the basic plot of _Born Again_ .

I'm not sure they really need to do a whole lot more setup for the _Born Again_ arc because so many of the pieces have already fallen into place. Besides what I said above about Karen having some skeletons in her closet, we also have these to consider:
1) Fisk has gained so much power in prison that it's really not even a prison for him anymore. He can do pretty much whatever he wants in there and can get out whenever he chooses.
2) He's threatened to "dismantle the lives" of Matt and Foggy.
3) He's shown requesting information on Matt. He has to be doing this in order to find some way to "dismantle" his life.
4) As shown in this video, Karen now knows that Matt is Daredevil.
5) We should also note that by the end of season 2, Matt's not exactly in a very good position himself. He has (among other things) lost his law practice and alienated two of his closest friends (which is why he's revealing his secret identity to Karen - it's a desperation move to try to save some face). Moreover, his erratic behavior over the course of the season could easily lead to suspicion that there's something in his life he'd rather keep hidden.
Because of all this, it seems likely to me that they'll do _Born Again_ in season 3, as I think they pretty much have it set up already. I suppose they could have Karen add some more skeletons to her closet in the _Punisher_ series, as I think I've read somewhere that she's going to be in that show. We might also start getting some hints that Fisk plans to make a move to extract information from her.

Yes, I agree that's most likely what he'll do, but I don't think it's because that's the only way he can get out of prison. I see Fisk as a man who succeeds in his criminal endeavors by using his public image to manipulate and control. This is why he chooses to remain in prison and "play the long game," as he puts it -- he needs to repair his public image. It seems to me that framing Nelson and Murdock for illegally fixing the trial that convicted him would be a great way to go about accomplishing this.
As for the plastic cup, I dunno. I mean, if he could get the bottle of wine and the steak, I don't see why he couldn't get something better than a plastic cup to drink from. Maybe he just likes (or at least doesn't mind) drinking from a plastic cup. And as for the cell, well, there aren't exactly any luxury suites in prison. He does have a nice TV to watch in there, though. I don't know a whole lot about prison life, but it's my understanding that prison cells in the US don't usually come with those.

It might have gotten him wondering, but I don't think that alone could convince him. All Matt really does is push his hands out of the way and headbutt him. I think even a blind person without any special abilities might be able to manage that. Besides, if Karen doesn't do _anything_ wrong, then there's no reason for him to forgive her, and I think the story would suffer if they were to leave that part out completely. I think they could pull this off without dragging her through the mud like the comics do.

Yep, I think they could do something like that. I think they could also make a case against Matt convincing enough for Karen to angrily confront him about it, but not before they secretly plant an eavesdropping device on her so they can listen in on the argument...
That way, she's not _completely_ innocent (since she initially trusts the bad guys over Matt), but she doesn't just straight-up betray him like comic book Karen does. Anyway, it's just a thought.
But like you said, let's see what _Defenders_ and _Punisher_ have to offer. Maybe they'll even come up with something that'll completely blow our minds!

Good point, but Foggy had a bit more of a reason to be mad. The man he thought was his best friend had endangered and lied to him.
Matt lied to them for three seasons, scolded them for doing what he did the legal way, and put them on the radar of not only law enforcement, but violent mobsters and death cults, but Karen and Foggy are being the unreasonable ones....sure.

I really like how the character daredevil is portrayed in this series. Matt was always strong and wanted to do everything by himself. But he finally realised that he couldn't go on. He needed the person he loves to be by his side. So he exposed himself to her. Now of course this might lead to an unfortunate outcome for page but at least it shows the human side of the daredevil is still there and can't hide anymore. (I mean, not everyone can be batman right? 😂)
