Been playing this game for a couple days now. Despite my initial reservations and expectations, this game is actually a lot of fun and I’m really enjoying it.
If you want to know which magic set you have equipped, you can just look at your controller. When you switch magic sets, the color around the TouchPad will match your magic. Pretty neat.
Thanks for posting this even with the negativity this game is getting. Still excited for this game whether I get this day one or in the future. Don't care to pre-order and rather get multiple reviews (high and low rated) and make a informed decision from that.
@AvatarXs Can't remember everything but this channel posted an hour-long stream earlier this morning. 1. People complaining about the graphics (don't care about that) 2. Open world is barren ( most open-world games feel that way for me) 3. Dialog can be cheesy or off-putting. (Fine with that.) 4. The combat isn't for everyone ( I loved the demo but that's my preference) 5. Takes a while to get the next element of magic (was told 5 hours) There are others that Paradise covered in this channel's stream but I can't remember. Honestly, besides the $70 price tag, most people are rating this game as a 6/7 which is average. Nothing game-breakingly new but can be an enjoyable experience. Lots of people have been reconmending waiting for it to go on sale.

The gameplay is the most important and it is very strong in Forspoken. It's not a AAA game but a 7.5/8 out of 10 is not "bad" game. I'm fighting those idiots who say it's a horrible game worth $25, those troglodytes should climb out from their holes and stop chasing bandwagons.
The reviewer were all wrong..this game is addictive and very fun ..the depth of spells and combos make it a great game...I just got it 3 days ago and I finally beat it right in time for the dlc..great game

I cannot stop playing this game. I already beat it and I immediately jumped back in and started running around the world and literally cannot stop. This game is a modern day fairy tale and an incredible power fantasy all in one.

I hesitate to say anything about this because I don't want the devs to go all "fun police" and remove this, but you can negate the vast majority of, or all of, your fall damage from great heights, by casting a spell a few feet off the ground, right before you land. It may not always work, but it's always worked when I've done it. Maybe I'm not jumping off high enough places lol.
Ha no youre exactly right, and ive tested this, it doesnt matter how high you fall either, using any spell just before you fall works perfect to negate any fall damage. My go to is the illusion magic float abilitity, can never remember what its called though😂
The story isn't anything special and the dialogue can be cheesy... But Jesus dude that can be said about most games. The gameplay is phenomenal in my opinion I'm having a blast.

Its pretty fun. Combat is impressive. The open world activities dont feel like a chore like most open world games.only thing is the story prolly not being engaging for most. Its not bad at all. the game explains why the world is so empty feeling and even says it is in game. Im only about 10 hours in and i like it so far. If youre a die hard rpg player like me you would probably find some enjoyment with it. But for normie gamers its probably a pass.
I knwo im late to this but still playing Forspoken and still love it. Im new to open world games, first one i played was Hogwarts Legacy and this-- so I am very exploratory. I'll admit I may not go for every single treasure chest, here, but I have been trying to clear the maps after i beaten the main story. Further, I am TRYING to clear spellcraft challenges, but those are challenging in their specific mechanic goals.

I think people were paid to hate cause the game was fun the story was good especial once it gets going and the combat was great. It was a solid game to me and I was happy with the purchase. With that said looking forward to Hogwarts on the 7th.
I just left the City to go kill what's her face. But I can't seem to get the navigation down. As the direction of the cuff goes to places I can't climb over yet.
the game looks amazing but for I can see in the gameplay to unlock next magic you need 30-40 hours of gameplay as you said, and as far as I can watch 25 hours of that time are slow motions scenes to swap skills :v , haha jokes aside, the game looks good enough to be entertainment
Is anyone dealing with full screen issues on PC? I can't get it to play full screen whether borderless or not. Windowed only. Screen goes black in anything else.

I only wish the monsters/mobs her harder. They hardly have different attack patterns and the only way they are hard to handle is in hordes and that gets boring after a short time.
I don't really understand all the hate this game is getting... granted, I full-well agree that the story is the weakest part of this game and it can hold you hostage at points along with being a bit wonky with going in and out of interactions/cutscenes (I feel like they did a great job for the first 3-4 chapters and then it takes a nose dive pretty easily; it's not a bad thing to have asshole protags but when it goes on as long as it does in here, it diminishes the parts they did very well at the beginning) but I've had so much fun outside of those issues. I feel like this is a 3d version of Wizard of Legend with neat traversal mechanics.
Calm down it’s not even close to a ps3 game. It looks similar to FF15 but much improved. But just no where near as good as other PS5 games like horizon/demons souls. But ps3 game? Come on bro you can’t be serious
Boy is this game a big disappointment. I already pre-ordered it awhile ago when preorders showed up on ps5. I imagined this game being different then what we were lied and showed by the developers. The only fun thing in this game is combat and parkour. Everything else is a joke.
@Brenda Stratton if there was an option to skip all the dialog at the beginning of the game to skip past all the slow stuff combined that way I could just get to the combat and parkour instead. They should have a setting in the game that should say start game and enjoy the open world and not include any dialog would be so much better.
The game is hollow, the cities as well as a lot of other areas around the map too are like static images and it is sluggish as well, there's literally no smoothness, nor next gen resolution, the framerate is disgustingly disturbing while you running around in its world as it is during combat as well, and it's frustrating to experience the same feeling all the time. It shouldn't have been released just yet and it needs a lot of polishing and updating in order to become enjoyable because right now it's anything but.

Actually, you can also press circle again to do a quick air dash just before you land. Same effect, no damage.
Best beginner tip is to not listen to simple minded reviewer sheep, the game is fun. So what if it's cheesy at times (aka every Square Enix game)

Played the demo, the graphics were lacking, and the banter between the bracelet was annoying. I'll catch it on sale
