I recently took the act (September). I used Erica Meltzer's official guides for english and for reading. My english score raised 10 points (21 to 31); my reading raised 7 points (21 to 28). My reading could've been higher if I finished!

Where can I find this? I went from 19 composite to 23. My English went up from 24 to 30, and reading went from 15 to 22.

What are your thoughts on the Princeton 2018 Act prep book?
Hello Brooke! I'm a high school sophomore next fall and I want to take either SAT or ACT some time next year. I have noticed some books you mentioned in these two videos (SAT and ACT book recommendation) are somewhat similar. For example, the SAT reading and the ACT reading both by Erica Meltzer. So I'm little confused of which one I should by, do you have any suggestion? (To prepare for both exams)

Hi, I took the SAT this past March. I bought the Erica Meltzer's New SAT Writing book for preparation for the SAT. I am taking the ACT next September. Should I buy Erica Meltzer's ACT Writing Book or is the SAT Writing book as helpful as the ACT book for studying for the ACT? I also have this question for the Reading.
What do you think of The Princeton Review ACT Elite 36 2nd Edition?

Hi! could you please recommend me the best SAT subject prep book there is? I'm planning on taking SAT chem / SAT Bio or / SAT literature
I like Barron's for Subject tests for Chem/Bio but there may be some good books from independent tutors I'm unaware of-- check out Amazon reviews to see. For literature, none of the books are that awesome. I like Princeton better than Kaplan-- Barron's is ok but the tests on the CD that come with the book are terrible. Official tests are best-- but there aren't many released.
I can only afford two books. I was thinking of getting the official act prep third edition. Then the one prep guide they made for 2016-2017. Would they be the best choice outta all the books to prep for the act? I'm a senior and graduating this year early. I'm taking English,math,science, history 11 then for second semester they are giving me English 12,math12,science, and history 12. My high school only has 6 classes per semester. So I'm worried that since I haven't had all the classes yet all the way up to being a senior yet and having to take the act will be horrible ,and I'm going to score low. Any help or tips?
Amy Nicole Try going to your local library to get some books. I got some good ones from mine. Just be careful with the edition and how old the books are.
Have you guys came out with the three part math book ACT set yet?
Not yet-- also, we've reduced it to two books instead of three. The problem sets from the books are all a part of our online course, though. These are finished as of now. We're finishing up the last few geometry teaching sections (we had to revamp some of the images/drawings per the publishing guidelines.). We made a decision to move forward with the online course vs. the books as we didn't have resources to do both at once. Now we're back to finishing out the books but still in progress.
Brooke Hanson do you think the books could be done by the December act? I have a 35 on the English section but a 25 on the math so I really need it :(
Very likely, yes. We are working on the cover art right now and then going to order a proof of the first book (we consolidated to 2 books instead of doing 3). The 2nd book has about 5 chapters left to proof and polish until it is done, so I would guess 2 months max (we finish about a chapter a week but it may take a couple weeks to get everything sorted with publishing end).

When will your book be finished?
I am literally finishing up the last chapter (out of 40++). 3 years of work. Covers are with the designer and we're waiting on those, too. Hoping in the next month? By Nov 1st for sure I would say.
I'm about to get myself and I college math books act college math books not the remember that real one I'm talking about the other one laughs I practice test not the old one even though I'm only 11 and I'm going to the middle school I just love college books
I don’t know if this is a stupid question but, are all the SAT’s or ACT’s the same in every state/Similar, or does each state have a different standard. I was planning to purchase a Prep Book Online so I can study it over the summer, and I’m just afraid that I’m going to get the “Wrong” one, if that makes any sense.
