Security Advisor's are trained to get at least 3 bars of signal in order to place a panel where it was placed. If this was done properly, something has changed since the installation. A simple service call should fix the problem.
adt cant bebresponsible for the cell signal, they dont own the cell tower and it works much like your cell phone gsm. Its even in Adt contract when you sign it, these people should get a landline as a back up that would solve the problem
It could be that there is not good reception in that area, thats an impassa security system(model) it might be just where the panel is located, sometimes if you move the paneln10 ft it works better
Adt and the adt dealers are jokes , you the customer pay for all the ads you see on tv . For overpriced second grade equipment , adt corp is higher but no better than the dealers, they both bad mouth each other's prices and policies, truth is they both suck , they have the worst service in the industry, only one worst is vivint.
SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM !! FIND OUT which cellphone service carrier has the BEST SIGNAL in your area (Among the ones who use sims in their cell phones). Get a different system that uses SIMs and NOT monthly subscription that cost you $$$ every month!!! This way if you have say a AT&T with 4 family lines, all you have to do, is just take away a cellphone from least favorite child, and use that sim for the security system. PROBLEM SOLVED !!!
Technically, no. These panels use a specific sim card to communicate with ADT. To be honest, I don’t even think this panel would connect to ADT as 3G panels aren’t eligible for activation if I’m correct.
When security systems don’t work...it is typically the customers issue. If you read your owner’s manual, you should test your alarm system once a week to assure communication to the ADT monitoring center. I view MyADT account, and all alarm signals are transmitted to the monitoring center.
My alarm set off because I opened the door without knowing it was on instant, and adt called 30 secs later. It works for me, idk why it doesn't work for them
I hope mine does too, but the thing is if the burglar cuts off the internet coaxial cable from outside the house or after entering inside then the base station will try to use the cellular tower to send the signal to ADT, we need to make sure that the cellular signal is strong enough to reach ADT
@@rifleman542 hear in the uk we have Redcare and if you cut the line to the redline then the cs will treat it like a brake in (even if the system is set or not. it works with a tone on the line and if they get the bounce back chirp then the police will be called ADT systems dont like this as they have to pay more and adt is all about the money. i make my living replacing a lot of adt systems. and know the workmanship is not as good as i should be

I had a guardian system that was supposedly being monitored and I got broken into and I never received a phone call. Although they claim the system went off. I got an adt system and they call me seconds after the alarm goes off and I only pay about 40 bucks a month. Im very happy with my system
He is an idea.. GET THE ALARM before you are broken into.. DUH! Then the burglars would have entered the home with the siren going off no matter the signal going through or not. And the systems use GSM At&t towers..
ADT tells you to TEST your system MONTHLY! Cell towers go down. If you want CONSTANT protection, you can get a cellular backup and have a landline as primary. But still, NOTHING IS GUARANTEED, even your gun. Did these folks ask for a technician? Seems not. That's a good point about using a landline if in tandem with a cell; however, I do not agree with it not only being adt. Adt uses particular cells that use particular towers. Most companies give an option for more than one type of cell. If a security company is notified that there is an issue with the cell tower used, they should and are able to install a different cell. Also, they're known for giving lame excuses like that because they purchase their equipment in bulk from honeywell and dsc. They used to offer tg1 by Tellguard which usually works when the dsc or honeywell cell have a low or no signal. I don't buy everything they say. They charge you mostly for the name ADT (for overhead) not because of good quality products or service.
They do, but I was talking about it's mostly Vista panels and the lynx. While other people are using panels like 2 gig. Panel with basic interactive at $36.95 a from Smith Monitoring. With Adt you're paying 44.99 a month for just a cell unit and no way to arm or disarm with your phone unless you pay more than $44.99 a month.
sounds like to me someone needs to make a call to ADT and I like the primary secondary and 3rd contact list numbers or maybe some ignorant programmer didn't program the panel correctly or register the radio correctly no surprise here ADT sucks balls
They offer phone and cell net radio.. those people just payed for the cell net to keep the cost down. Not smart being a penny Pincher. I'm sure a authorised dealer installed that not adts direct .. because they don't install dsc control panels in re,si accounts only in small business.
cell towers go down just like phone lines, adt does not own the cell towers or the phone lines. just like if a customer who uses a phone line. when they change or remove the line. the system will not work. simple as that.
ADT responded instantly when my roommate commited suicide and i was not home. My ADT system is connected thru Verizon landline and ADT notified me instlanty when Sherifs were at my house to investigate. ADT did fine work in their protection of my home and making me aware of what was happening while i was away.
If you get ADT you need to sign a contract for 3 years even if ADT give you 30 days trail don`t even bother yourself, ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH TO TRY.
It is ADT`s fault because they dont want to pay extra money to get the better signal.

I just got ADT SECURITY for my home. My battery is already at 18% and haven't had it for 3 days.
PEOPLE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT AN ALARM SYSTEM IS A DETERS THIEVES IT DOESN'T PREVENT THEM.
