@melissadropdead4619 it kinda sounds like it went straight down through his head, neck, and then torso but somehow leaving only the head trauma so maybe it wasn't noticeable or that noticeable from the outside, or they just thought the "lighting strike " caused whatever visible physical injuries he did have

I wonder how many viewers take the time to consider just how much time and effort is spent conducting research and piecing together these remarkable stories. Mr. Ballen is one of the greatest modern day story tellers, and I eagerly await each new installment. Excellent work!! 👍
Yeah I came here to say the same thing! When he was doing more than once a week, I was like “how in the world is he doing this? He must be exhausted.”
Straight up, I was so sad when he started posting less and less but the I realized he's doing all these podcasts and whatnot so he's still putting in the same time and effort as the good old days of not even more!!!
We all do research to tell stories at work. Im an artist and I spent 1 hour studying 20 articles on freedom Flotilla raid and could tell you the story. I'm painting it, so I thought I should dot my i's and cross my t's.
Would it be hard for you? I expect my school projects took more work. And he gets paid more than he should for telling other people's stories....... stop glorifying easy jobs while ignoring the hard workers out there. Paramedics. Volunteers. Hamas.
We creative are living our best lives and getting overpaid for it. Aren't we, Mr Ballen?
But yes he has a natural charm at storytelling. It's effortless and that's what I like about it.

Bruh, thank you Mr. Ballen for making me feel old. I delivered pizzas for Domino's in the late 80s. 30 minutes or less or the pizza delivery was free!!! I had to pay for the pizzas I didn't deliver on time. People would take numbers off their mailboxes to confuse us all the time.
Remember back then we didn't have GPS or even a cellphone. If we had to call a costumer, we had to pay. 25 cents and use a pay phone. It was a challenging time for us back then. Now they fly drones and stuff to delivere goods.

Your boss was ripping you off. You shouldn't have had to pay for it. That's the whole reason they stopped the 30 minute guarantee. Drivers would speed or run signs or lights and cause fatal accidents. I worked for Dominos during that time, too, and our franchise owner ate the cost.

Dang that sux, I also delivered for domino's late 90s, before I had a cell and was awful with directions, I remember I was super late delivering because I couldn't find the house, and because I was in a rush
I locked my keys in the car with it running so I had to go back up to the house and ask to use his phone.

He would upload 3/4 times when he started the channel because he worked alone or with help of several people. Now he has Ballen studios with over 30 employees. Why would you expect more videos when all the research, scriptwriting and other heavy lifting jobs are ofloaded ?
The contrast in energy between the channel now and when they were doing 3-5 episodes a week is STAGGERING!! It's so clear to see that John is actually enjoying making these videos again and it's amazing to see💜
Disagree. It's just pure laziness. He's not even the one who writes the scripts or edits or anything. He just shows up and narrates. This channel was MUCH better when he actually dedicated his time to it and did everything himself. Mr. Ballen is now just another example of selling out once you get famous. These stories suck and are not nearly as interesting as the old ones.
His ability to help entertain is truly a godsend. There were def nights I only made it through addiction, and not "picking up" because I would take it one story at a time. I see his enthusiasm, and definitely use it to help others. Ever
watch "Zombie Bagel"? I get so many bitter old marines, Army men, uh.. Navy men (sorry my grandpa was "proud to be a squid" and I have to refrain because some take offense!) and anyone from all walks of life (including a British intelligence ex-operative!) to really open up to that one!

Mr Ballen, don't ever feel bad for only uploading once a week as opposed to three, four, or even five times a week. We understand that you have a family and that you're busy
So true BUT many influencers are now filming their podcasts to be shown on RUclips. That is a way for them to release more RUclips videos and to satisfy those who don’t like podcasts. There are actually many people who don’t like listening to podcasts.So they miss out on those podcast only stories.He could try this for a couple weeks. You know those case stories that are solely on his podcast channel and not on RUclips. He then would have 2 stories a week and wouldn’t interfere with his schedule either.

Mr. Ballen you post the most captivating stories and deliver them in such a way that keeps you inching on your seat every step of the way, i wish to be like you when i get older. Well not exactly, i want to apply as an officer in the Air Force working as a mechanic, get as good as i possibly can at that, and then i want to start a podcast. I still look at the things you did, and are still doing on your channel, and even telling some of your military history on other channels and i am just so glad that you helped us out with valid content, concern, and curiosity(or should i say strange dark and mysterious content?)on the world around us at the end of the pandemic and hopefully for a long damn time to come.🧡💯

I’ve been hooked on Mr. Ballen since 2022. When I was pregnant, his stories were my go-to for entertainment-like my unborn baby and I were on the edge of our seats! I’ve practically seen every single video, so it drives me nuts when I accidentally click on one I’ve already watched. Seriously, déjà vu isn’t as fun the second time around! HAHAH😂

I have been listening to you for a couple years now every night before I go to bed. I have tried to listen to this episode literally 7 times. I only make it about 6 minutes in then … KONK out for the night. Good thing you only do one a week or I wouldn’t be able to keep up 😅 had such a hard time sleeping before I discovered this podcast. Now every single night I pick one set a timer and let it roll.

Fun fact about the NOID. I worked in dominos in the UK last year and they brought back the Noid with avoid the noid shirts. None of us knew what it was and had to google it, none of the customers knew either. It seems pretty pointless now 30 years later
