I remember watching Annette when she was a poker prodigy. Love that she’s gotten into Scrabble. Reminds me of Jim Geary and David Eldar. Multitasking masters.
Awesome video. It's really interesting to compare the stats and the end there as well. Here's hoping we get to see plenty more new talent joining the scene in the future, too! ❤
Josh, I truly commend you for making this video. We are all humans and we all make mistakes. Too often those at the top of a game pretend like they have no weaknesses or have made very few mistakes. This bravado may be a psychological ploy which gives them an edge; I don't know as I have rarely been in this position. Yet, as a human fully aware of some of my weaknesses, I laud you for sharing some of your mistakes. It can motivate others to excel to higher levels knowing that even the best make significant mistakes at times. Being human is an amazing thing, and mistakes or misjudgments are part of all our incredible journeys!
This was an amazing game to watch live! Congrats Annette! One other thing about FEUS: Not only does it shut down her bingos, but as you alluded to in the captions, she might have played GORS. Given she had STAINED if GORS is a word, I think she goes for that and that also is a free win.
I love how you point out your mistakes in a way that makes it seem like you were an amateur player despite being possibly the second best in the world...
North America! I'm nowhere near 2nd best in the world. The two big mistakes I made this game were pretty amateurish: spotting a play but thinking it didn't fit on the board, and then playing an invalid word... I've still got a lot to learn despite my successes
I wonder if scrabble was open-source and not owned by mattel/hasbro there would be more money in it. Its just on the peripheral of the chess/poker sphere, and it has a lot of the same skills required and benefits, i even prefer playing scrabble to both of those and i have played a lot of all three.
LMAO I might have a problem 😂❤
Well played :)
If your problems are poker and Scrabble, you have great problems! (:
love you neddo

Right and even if the endgame doesn't feel secure, it gives her a chance to make a mistake
Annette is just one of the coolest people going right now in the competitive sphere - watch her take up chess next and it's all over
Ahh yes classic josh😅❤
