      Hai again wave sorry if i always have request and popping in... the request on "this way" because in my region it's very difficult to use "patreon" or "paypal" to many terms & service even "superchat" not available in here... perhaps you not disturbed by me just skip... hhe...
      but if someday you interest with my suggestion... it's always be my pleasure because you are one of my best reactor at the moment... hhe...
      Anyway I'm waiting your best day ever with yoyoka... and share it even a little on this channel too... hhe...

    I'm so happy for you! That had to be like a dream come true, meeting Yoyoka. I know you envisioned some day being able to attend one of her concerts in a small venue, hoping that you could stand in line with 100's of others just to meet her for a few seconds, and to have her come to YOUR HOUSE! I'm speechless (That's rare)! And on top of that being able to meet the coolest family on the planet, which is confirmed just by the fact that this epic, once in a lifetime event took place! Something you will remember for your whole life!

      Thank you so much Glen! I wouldn’t have been able to get to this point without your help. Meeting them was such an impactful experience! I can’t wait to tell you guys all about it over on Patreon!

      @iFoneVids 2 года назад +6

      @@WavePotter it’s great that you’re able to meet them. And what a great story for your future kids to tell. So I’m wondering, only Patreon people are going to hear the story but some people who can’t afford it who have been supporting your channel since the beginning won’t? I thought Soma Family’s message is spreading joy and generosity? It’s kinda wrong to monetize they’re generosity and that privilege instead of just sharing it freely like they have been doing with their videos. I don’t know, I’m probably a minority here but hope you’ll see my point of view. ✌🏼

    • @WavePotter
      @WavePotter  2 года назад +7

      @@iFoneVids You’ve made a good point. As a creator, I need to pick and choose which content fits the theme of my channel, and also be sure to provide a little something extra to the people who help support my work financially, so naturally, I put everything that isn’t my regular content style on Patreon. I actually saw it the other way around, where I didn’t want it to be exploiting the experience for views. But I suppose in the public eye, depending on the perspective, either way is right or wrong. But you’ve helped me rethink it, and I’ll plan to release it publicly eventually, but early for my patrons, because I do still feel the need to provide content perks to them, and I do provide plenty of free content for YT supporters.

    • @iFoneVids
      @iFoneVids 2 года назад +1

      @@WavePotter oh I do understand giving your supporters extra perks like your own playing, your own covers, own music vids, stickers, what have you. I’m familiar with the concept of Patreon. Unless it’s an exclusive meet and greet with them or you paid to meet them privately, I understand that’s a privileged situation. But I just thought that you’re depriving your other non-patreon supporters of seeing Yoyoka (who in a way started most of your following) besides behind the kit. You got a front row sit of seeing her and the Somas took time to see a fan. That’s very generous of them, I just thought you’d share or extend that same generosity. Isn’t it enough that they put out videos that help create yours and get this following? I just hope you didn’t lose why you started this. I subscribed because I thought your reactions and technical analysis were informative esp. from a former kid drummer. I hope you don’t lose sight of that coz your old Yoyoka reactions were great. ✌🏼
      As for ‘exploiting the experience for views’… people will get views when they post their encounter with Yoyoka. They already have. I don’t see them saying to go to their Patreon to see the encounter. I think it’s more exploitative when people have to pay to see that encounter. Just my opinion Wave. You seem like a good guy and appreciate for responding to me. And I’m really glad for you for meeting them. ✌🏼

    I live just across the border in Minneapolis and I saw Yoyoka post on RUclips that she was in town. I had no idea she was there and no idea what her schedule was otherwise I would love to have seen her, assuming her event(s) were open to the public. I know nothing about playing the drums so I'd sound like a dummy but it would have been very cool to at least see her play live.

    Hey Wave, you big grinning boss. I just want to issue a somber reminder.
    The person that was the inspiration for this song just recently passed away. "Sweet" Connie Hamzy Parente, also called "Sweet Sweet" Connie or Connie Flowers, passed away August 21, 2021.
    In one of my few, "Brushes with Fame", I met her about 10 years ago. She was a real character and seemed to be genuinely proud of her fame. She happily answered all questions, regardless of subject. I wouldn't say that she was a "great human being", but she was a real person. I was able to hang out with her for about half an hour. It was a fun and certainly memorable encounter.
    Please don't get the impression that I'm suggesting that my encounter in any way compares to yours with Yoyoka and her family. I'm truly envious of you. It was just that the song reminded me that Connie has just recently passed away.

    I think my brother-in-law, now deceased, would have really liked Yoyoka. He was a drummer through high school, during his time in the army and air force and for some years after that. He was in particular a big fan of Neil Peart. He was, like me, the generation when GFR produced new music :) He was the one that first got me to listening to the drums. I really, really wish he could have listened to her. Wave, as usual, I like all of your reactions and your own multi-instrumental covers.Thanks! This is way better than Harries movies all toghether☺. What intrigues me is the communication. Yoyo is in the process of learning English and often her father helps her out. On the other side the language of music is partly universal. Very interested how that went. Life is about creating beautiful memories. This is one of them♥.
