How to get an iPhone docked and working again with the iPod Hi-Fi.

In this video I'll show how to get an iPhone docked and working again with the iPod Hi-Fi with charging, audio, and remote control. It has been broken for a few years when trying to use Apple' Lightning to 30-pin adapter, but I've come up with a solution.

I use a bluetooth adapter for the universal adapter for under 30 $.

What’s the name of the piece you have stuck In the dock for the iPhone

There are two adapters in the 30-pin connector on the speaker system. One is the Scosche PassPort charging adapter, which re-routes the power for USB based Apple devices (anything after 2007), and the main adapter is called the "DockBoss 5". Neither has been made for many years, you'd have to turn to eBay most likely.

@@will_it_work Do you remember that the 30-pin charging dock had an optical out? Man, I which I can find mine. Do you think the lighting charging dock has an optical dock?

I don’t know off hand which docks had an optical out. Apple’s Lightning Dock does not.

Would it work only with a lightning dock connected - jack to the back of the hifi + lightning connected to the wall? So without all of these adapters, I will only lose remote functionality?

Correct, but this video was all about preserving the 3 features of the docking connector.

Scosche and DockBoss5. Not sure what Apple Lightning jack you're referring to. The Lightning dock?
