Great restoration! Before the video started playing, I recognized that wrench as a "footprint". I worked in a building supply company in the UK between 1980 & 2000, and these were a popular tool with contractors. But, I think your one is a more recent design. I found illustrations of ones from 1937, and the logo and makers marks are at the top of the tool, above the nut, and there are no markings where you couldn't read what was on your one. (BTW, I think it said "Made in England") The older ones are also tapered on the end, so that it could be used a screwdriver for large slotted head screws. Not sure I like the color though, as I was so used to seeing them painted with a matt black finish. As for the nut, you can rust-proof it by heating it up with a blowlamp and while it's still hot, drop it into vegetable oil.
Wonderful restoration, I have one of these that has been in my tool bag for nearly 50 yrs, and was my grandads before me, not sure about your green, British racing green /engine green would have been my choice, The missing word was Sheffield, followed by a number, on mine 69B, or possibly England. thanks for posting, love your work,
YES 👏🏻 Awesome job as usual. Hope you had fun making this. Just as much we enjoy it. I'm honestly not into asmr. I just find this very interesting and I appreciate hard work. But that's a good title for views Which I hope you get a lot from it 👏🏻👏🏻 Thank you for making this
Don’t forget ear protection when you use power grinder tool, you do not want to have tinnitus in your ears. I have this from noise and infection damage.
Great job I wished you painted the other handle. The work you've done with the bolt and washers is amazing. I don't know if the spelling is right or wrong, but I think the pronunciation is correct "YATANAI". 👍
This is great. So much ingenuity in restoring the bolt.
Thanks! 😊
i like it because not overdrived! just very simple! two thumbs up!

Should have tried heat on that nut. Superb craftsmanship on its replacement. Coca Cola is a good rust remover too
Thanks😊 since i know that the bolt and nut is not original, so i just cut it off😄😄
Coca cola? Really? I saw vinegar and soda work as well.. will try some alternative next time 😊
The Y Maker it’s the phosphate acid in similar drinks
@@Dog.soldier1950 i see..but is it considered weak or mild acid? Able to remove stubborn rust?
YES 👏🏻

Nice job. I think the wording on the handle states the manufacturer's location -- Sheffield England
Thanks 😊

You got it right

Stylish!!!
Cool! 😊
That was a cracking job, however! you really need to get rid of that tin of green paint, red would have looked much better.
Thanks! Not sure, maybe when I'm out of paint 😆
