Great job ! I start the same project , went to tractor supply to buy Sandpaper , found the 50 cal ammo can on sale for $7 , bought 20 of them and quit the restoration project 😂

the mk1has adjustable handlebars and the mk2 has non movable bars and the sissy bar is round at the top and the mk2is square

itsa mk1 but has a lot of non chopper parts on it id still like it but would restore it with propper parts

wrong brakes wrong grips thats half a chopper mongrel

wrong tyres too

The whole project is inspirational, the wedge block clamping is simple and excellent idea. I need to do this for my next project, great content. Keep bringing joy to the internet. Even after 4 years of posting this video it continues to help others.

Thank you! Such an effective process. Take down a pallet in 20 min. But the most important thing this video has taught me. When you look at a pallet, check the nail pattern first. I have pallets with great wood but 6 nails at each join. Never again will I take ones with more than 2 nails....ùnless the wood is top notch.

This is so much cheaper than a Pallet Buster, and faster than a scissors jack. I put a strong magnet in my glove so I can stick nails to the back of my hand when I'm pulling them out.

Quad Zero (0000) ultra-fine steel wool is much faster, less abrasive and less destructive than foil or sandpaper at removing surface rust. Give it a try ! :) LOL! I wrote that seconds before I saw you switch.

I just bought a lamp similar to this one on a flea market here in Germany. It doesn´t have the little windows anymore but I´m going to cut some new ones. I cleaned the water passage, the nozzle and the inside of the reaction chamber with 25% vinegar which worked like a charm! Now I´m waiting on my calcium carbide to test it.

Thanks for taking the time to share. Very simple technique for breaking down pallets, as already mentioned elsewhere, without a garage full of specialist tools. I've got a pallet sitting outside as I write - came with a delivery of OSB - and I think I'll give your method a go right now.

First time watching and loved the restoration video. You ("Y") indeed inspired me to restore my lantern. Few questions: What paint remover product did you use? It looked like a jell. The new seal in the carbide container and insulation over the top, do you have a supplier? What was the polishing tip on your hand tool and what was the green bar used on tip? Keep up the inspiring work for us! All the best!

No I haven’t looked at the comments yet, so maybe someone has said this but first I wanna say I’m an old guy, so I’m not bending down and crawling around on the floor and playing whack-a-mole with these pallets I was fortunate enough to find one of those pry tools on Facebook marketplace for 30 bucks so it was worth it for me.however, I would suggest for her to maybe make some kind of table and then find a piece of wood, log enough that extends the entire length of the pallet and cut, however many other little prop boards that she needs, so she just hast to put everything in once wacko slide him to the middle wackos pull the big board out, stick a little prop boards on the other side and take care of the other side. I think I’d save her a lot of time. Again, I haven’t read the comments so if somebody’s already said this, forgive me. Good luck to you young lady. It’s always good to see people utilizing resources that are available mostly for free and turning them in to something useful.

Not so easy if the nails are spiral or ring shank which is more common. Easy if straight plain old 8d nails were used.
