Haha so true. You’re so proud of how it looks that you don’t want to ruin it by painting it and it not matching with the rest of the ceiling or going thru the headache of having to paint the entire ceiling….😂
"Yep, that's me, before my wife said she had enough and I was forced to move into my 2023 F250. With seating for 11 it was no problem putting in an air mattress. Stop by your local Ford dealer today!"
I did this in a brand new office space we just built last year haha. I was running pex up above to the other side of the space and slipped on a rafter and boom I’m hip deep in the ceiling luckily the client wasn’t there for that part 😅. Got it all fixed and textured before he found out. I still told him about it but it’s better to tell them after you fix it so the reaction isn’t as severe.
I've got 3 of those except 2 in the wall & weren't by accident! Only commenting bc they've set like that for almost 11 months now! 😂 I got the paint that day btw lol
That's almost the same hole I made!! But a little bigger the ceiling is super old I was just trying to help find some kind of box in the attic and I nearly fell through I barley used any of my weight!! I didn't mean to make a hole I just wanted to help my fiancee out but I made bigger mess than we needed right now I feel so bad that I'm crying 😭😭😭😭
Wow you get to things fast if only 9 months, for me its 2 to 5 years before I finish. Just wait till you have kids and have to work 80 hours per week to support a family.
My stairs havnt had carpet on the for about a year now. The electrical outlets are 3 different brands, the original, a discontinued screwless, and the newer screwless plates. Make sure you buy enough shit up front to do it all in case it takes you 5years to finish it.
Best trick is cut it over size by a “ all the way around, the cut the rock off to fit but don’t break the paper on the front so you don’t have to tape it. Yours will crack out with no tape
My mom went thru the ceiling i did this exact thing and i couldn't match the ceiling because it was like splatter type stuff so i left it there until she said i want to pain the rooms and got a painter
I was up in the attic trying to screw on some toggle bolts on my bathroom light fixture got up and step right through the bathroom ceiling and made a big ass mess
Yep 9 months sounds about right 😂
Dude I thought i was the only one this happens to almost 6 months now haven’t finished the drywall. Think i got my motivation now 😂
Haha so true. You’re so proud of how it looks that you don’t want to ruin it by painting it and it not matching with the rest of the ceiling or going thru the headache of having to paint the entire ceiling….😂
It's the gestation period of a DIY project
probably longer.
Right on the money 😂
The honesty about DIY projects at the end is what sold me on your credibility
You sound like you could narrate domestic truck commercials 👍
"Yep, that's me, before my wife said she had enough and I was forced to move into my 2023 F250. With seating for 11 it was no problem putting in an air mattress. Stop by your local Ford dealer today!"
This guy is the definition of testosterone
Lmmfao. I got like 4 drywall patches that been needing paint

The accuracy of the 9 month time line!
My dad tore out a knee wall when he moved in and didn't patch the drywall, and tile until 17yrs later when he was moving out
imagine how the cost was so much cheaper 17 years ago.
I’m the same way brother 😂 my 6’4 250lb ass is always fixing stuff then inadvertently breaking something else
Spoken like a true Home DIY'er.
Good job, brother. 👏
Just looked up at my textureless ceiling in my bathroom, yup.
I never related more in my life than when u said “9 months before I finish it”
Great video 😂...solid 9 months 👏
Just happened to have a camera setup. #content
So cringe. I agree
no shit? it's for demonstration
9 months!
You got me beat by a lot! lol
I’m so glad I’m not the only one
I've got 3 of those except 2 in the wall & weren't by accident! Only commenting bc they've set like that for almost 11 months now! 😂 I got the paint that day btw lol
Tape?
If he has time to youtube this he has time to tape it later
That's almost the same hole I made!! Its been 3 months since i patched my ceiling. Still havent put the final touches on yet
What are the drywall screws connecting to didn't see any wood or the trusses just curious
A pair of safety glasses would go a long way to protect the installer's eye.
Decades of work above rafters & I’ve never seen someone punch their foot through
Nice work
🤣 The last truth! Glad that I'm not the only one
Don’t you have to tape the seams? I’m only asking because I have to do this to mine
That 9 month crack hurts my feelings.
Just 9 months? Shiiiit he's quick. Im on year 5
Holy I didn't expect that voice
Wow you get to things fast if only 9 months, for me its 2 to 5 years before I finish. Just wait till you have kids and have to work 80 hours per week to support a family.
Wheres the tape?
Love your shirt
Thanks!!
What is he screwing into? Didnt look like anything was there.
9 months, 2 years. What’s time?
Me - How fake do you want this video?
Him ("bulldozer")- Yes!
I really felt that last part😂
Yup going on year and half here on ceiling in wife’s office from same thing lol
True...still haven't painted. Been over a year. Hey why not go for the record
I got one going on 2 years. About the same size to
Ahhh give it a year man looks great
Great acting skills
Needs mesh and 12-14in knife for a skim coat type finish.. to feather it in and then paint entire the ceiling
What is the screw going into to hold the new patch?
I thought I was the only one who waited that long
How do I reinforce my sheet rock on my ceiling ?
What are you using to drill the screws in to?
So how did u have it pointed at the ceiling right where your foot went thru?
Anyone waiting for part 2? Because thats my excuse for it not being finished atm.
Caked up too yum yum
lol. I did the same thing. Thanks
YEP SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT I'M ELECTRICIAN SINCE 2008 & I CAN BUILD A HOUSE BUT WHEN IT'S YOURS 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️😂😂😂
I just so happened to have my cera rolling when. I step through my ceiling ..
You did that on purpose to make this video... good job, why not.

She just happend to be filming as you stepped thru the ceiling right above her? 🤔🤔🤔
Lmfao totally accurate ending 🤣
Vin Diesel is here!
Thank you I thought I was lagging
Got a hole in the pantry that way right now.
Sounds about right
What you putting screws into?
Hahahaha…that 9 months is freakin hilarious but ohhh so true!
Dude 9 months i felt that 😂
Sending this to my wife.. she think I’m the only one.
Been there done that!
Still need to put the corner Rounds Around my floors but it's only a year-and-a-half
Took me a second to realize you said bull and not bowl was so confused before it clicked
Best trick is cut it over size by a “ all the way around, the cut the rock off to fit but don’t break the paper on the front so you don’t have to tape it. Yours will crack out with no tape
9 months wow thats gast bro
What did the screws get drilled into if the cutout was exact same size as whole?
Men men. I thought it was just me. Now I know lol. My wife should read these. 😂
Mythbusters. Bulls don't knock over ANYTHING 😅😂
Scrim tape ???
I’ll follow up and subscribe in 9 months then lol
🤣🤣🤣
That is so true
My mom went thru the ceiling i did this exact thing and i couldn't match the ceiling because it was like splatter type stuff so i left it there until she said i want to pain the rooms and got a painter
Lmao sanding texturing and painting always put on the back burner 😂😂
the 8-9 month wait is part of the process
Yea so can I but I don’t need to record it all and post it online.
You cut the sheet rock first then hold it up and scribe it
Same as any other dry wall repair
Your lucky the full sheet didn't break loose and take out the ceiling fan
Thought I heard you say you can fix most things you break? 😅
Lol, 9 months is the ABSOLUTE MINIMUM.. Drying time is key.
As long as it's functional no need to finish until you need to sell haha
Just happen to be filming 🤔
A bull in a China shop would just walk the isles.
Mythbusters 😂
You said 9 months. I got you by 2 years lol
There was way not enough drywall dust on that purdy floor
I was up in the attic trying to screw on some toggle bolts on my bathroom light fixture got up and step right through the bathroom ceiling and made a big ass mess
Toggle bolts should have prevented the trip to the attic
Why is bro so beautiful?
Literally me yesterday
9 maybe 10 could be 11 but no more than 15. (unless it falls on a holiday month)
How to step through the cieling to make a tiktok
I’d say I could go for a year before I get to finishing that.
Gotta sand that texture off the surrounding drywall before you start mudding
Funny, every time I do something stupid, there's never a camera around
The 9 months thing is true but I’m trying for the 1 year on my closet doors…she’s starting to give up.
Same
Luckily you had a random camera man pointing his camera right at where you kicked through the ceiling
He did it on purpose so he can show how to fix it
