It’s honestly impressive how much prime ride time DarKoaster has given the building limitations it was dealt. It’s definitely not a short ride by any means
The math here is incredibly impressive. Well done sir. These numbers are super intriguing to look at, even if they are just one piece of each riders full puzzle
Seeing TRON at #8 above many other higher rated coasters for prime ride time is hilarious to me because SO MANY people wouldn’t shut up about how short the ride is
You should do a video based on the rides average ranking of each category. For example if a coaster is 2 in height but 14 in pacing it would have an average of 8
I don't know where people get that from. It felt like a perfect length when I rode it. Most launch coasters are nowhere near that long. I guess people just expect more because of how much money Disney has.
ArieForce One: Better Coaster Wildcat's Revenge: Better Investment This from what I've heard about AF1 having a lot of short walk on ride times while Wildcat's Revenge has long lines right beside its coaster companions. Fun Spot might have put too many eggs in one basket with AF1 in the long run. Hersheypark however added what it needed to add and did a great job. And it'll pay its dues back a lot sooner than AF1.
Prime ride time is something made by airtime thrills about ride time when the coaster is actually on it’s main lyout, so we exclude the break run and lift hill. But that’s still a funnyjoke
@@jamSljLinas2 Chris means that the point the train picks up speed off the lift until it hits the brake run is exactly how long it takes to drink a Prime. That’s what he’s measuring.
Considering how close the margins are on some of these rankings, I'm curious if you have any way to account for differences in temperature, train loading, etc.?
Unfortunately no, the best I can do is find a POV shot by an actual youtuber and not the park, who usually films when the ride is ice cold and empty. The real POVs are shot with a full train mid day, usually.
Let’s all appreciate how much work he puts in to every single one of his videos! Doing the Pythagorean theorem and watching POVs just for prime ride time is some dedication!
Did you add parts of swing launches for prime ride time and length? I would add it to both if it's more intense than other parts of rides that get added. Like on a Sky Rocket 2 I wouldn't add the first forward launch (because that's pretty similar to a lift hill), but would all the whole backwards part and then the forwards part from the furthest back point it goes.
Out of all of these, I’ve only done Mandrill Mayhem but for the UK it’s my number 4 (I haven’t done The Smiler, Nemesis (Reborn), Oblivion, Rita, Stealth, Saw, Colossus, Infusion or Revolution and haven’t even been to Drayton Manor (until later this year), Flamingo Land (also until later this year), Oakwood Theme Park, Fantasy Island, Paultons Park etc…) and Mandrill Mayhem is only being beaten by Wicker Man (GCI, 3rd), Th13teen (Intamin, 2nd) and Icon (Mack, 1st). I think one of the reasons I like it so much is because it was the first roller coaster I went on with an inversion and a launch, I’ve now been on Icon, The Swarm, Nemesis Inferno and Galactica so I owe it to Mandrill Mayhem for helping me get over the fear (Kinda…).
@@raphytvlogs504 I reckon once I've been on more of them in the UK, it will be at lowest of 10th. Last year was the beginning of me liking roller coaster so it could all change.
@@midnightmoonlight04091 oh I see you haven’t done smiler and those rides yet so makes sense I have smiler at number one in uk but 7 in overall tankings
Was flabbergasted you didn’t include Leviathan at Sea World Australia at first but then remembered it opened on the 2nd of December 2022 so is out of the running, otherwise I feel like it would smoke this competition on pacing, that thing is out of control for 85% of the length it feels like, with just a brake run, station, and lift hill out of the running (and it is a *fast* lift hill) with no block sections. It *slams* into those brakes.
@@AirtimeThrillsI got lucky and got a backwards ride for free recently, it was unbelievable but it’s unfortunately gotten a bit rough and I really noticed that when I wasn’t able to anticipate the turns, still amazing despite all that
Surf coaster doesnt feel that intense. I wouldnt call it a family coaster but its definately focused around the new trains and not the elements. I was a bit surprised at the pacing as well. Part of that might be they only have 2 trains at anytime at most so can just send it through the course whilst the other is loading. Tron's launch is definately a bit more intense then youd normally get from a disney family coaster but the pacing numbers going down doesnt surprise me as it seems to have a mid course breakrun when you get into the building. Id love to just haul through the thing instead of slowing it down but it would hurt the capacity and track long term so I get it different priorities for different parks.
Oh you’re a coaster enthusiast? Name every coaster in airtime thrills intro.

Exactly! I rode it 3x on my trip, and I never thought it felt short at all.
thanks for using my video idea, it means a lot to me

6:07 And despite that, people still say Tron is "too short".
It is, when you are hungry for a coasting buffet and all they give you is a snack...😡😡🤬
It Just Feels Extremely Short But Its 57 Seconds Long Somehow
I don't know where people get that from. It felt like a perfect length when I rode it. Most launch coasters are nowhere near that long. I guess people just expect more because of how much money Disney has.

I think maximus is meant to be the Kids first major looping coaster. I mean it’s legoland so makes sense.
Toutatis is the tallest and best paced while Big Bear is the longest length and duration

Wildcat's Revenge: Better Investment

Wildcat had short lines for me just because the ops were so efficient
@@AirtimeThrills That can be the case too. Still I wonder how well AF1 will pay off. Coasters always have that constant bar raising battle.

Ooooo... How about all wing coasters by the numbers?
Video Idea: rank all the roller coasters in your intro by prime riderime
Why not add each category together and average them for an overall score and rank them like that instead of rude time?
