I think the best part is that the only downside to the "one makes you larger" is that it only makes the character and not the hit box bigger, meaning it turns your character into a brick wall held together with gum and cheap glue sticks.
No, you have the normal hitbox as you said. Which means you only get hit as if you were a normal sized character.
