Really sweet comparison ! Seems the 4.7 is much more rev happy. Also I hope your customers are cool the WOT test drives lol

both sound great! no replacement for displacement. 5.7 wins imo!

Really it’s mainly the true duals vs the Y pipe

4.7 sounded a little better to me, a little deeper. My friend has an 01 Tundra TRD with Flowmaster 40 and dual dump, has always sounded really good. I have a 05 DC still with factory exhaust. I had exhaust on all my Ram trucks before, and my wife was like, not on the Tundra. She was tired of the cab noise.

Hey guys love watching your videos. I was just thinking, have you made a video of cars and trucks leaving your shop? That would be pretty cool. Anyway keep up the great work

For the 4.7, change the water pump and timing belt every 100k, the differential oil every 75k and she should run as well as the old Ford 300 inline six. Damn near indestructible with "sufficient MPG" let the engine warm up before any hard acceleration.

The exhaust is not true dual from the factory. I work for toyota. they join at the end of the cats. also i don’t understand why the customer complains about noise yet does a axle dump which increased drone

I think the disconnected muffler was shooting the sound all over the place instead of one direction. I’ve had Axel dumps and all the way out back, and currently dealing with stolen cats cut right under my feet of my 03 cat eye 5.3. Other than smelly, the pops and bangs are so bad slowing down but overall moderate doing 50 at 2500.

Is it possible too make the 2nd gen Tundra sound like those 90’s JDM’s, like a purrr sound ? Is there a muffler I can add to make it sound like that, instead of sounding Ronchy loud ?? I wanna make my tundra sound smoothly purring 😭

    • @rexmedina4561

Maybe a quieter muffler like a Borla Pro XS. Even v6 chevys with that muffler sound really great. Flowmasters aren’t for anything but v8’s imo
