As far as I know, 2012 Macbooks can only use up to OSX Catalina (2019) - but I don't see why it wouldn't work!

Still using one of these for recording heavy rock/metal sessions in Logic (although admittedly we're doing mixing/mastering elsewhere), purely because it still works just fine
