It's hard to know how the orphanage treats the children. The best advice would be to do your research on the orphanage. Alternatively you could support empowerment programs such as Zoe Empowers that helps orphaned children in impoverished parts of Africa by giving them the tools and resources to start their own business, become self sufficient and even give back to their community. We are not affiliated with Zoe Empowers, but they are very very transparent with their work and impact.
Have you ladies tried to go back to the orphanage and try to change it for the kids who live there now?? Please try and do that. My heart is broken for you and the kids. Edit: glad that the orphanage has closed down.
