ABOUT VEDANTA
Vedanta is one of the world’s most ancient religious philosophies and one of its broadest. Based on the Vedas, the sacred scriptures of India, Vedanta affirms the oneness of existence, the divinity of the soul, and the harmony of religions.
ABOUT US
Vedanta Society of New York is affiliated with the Ramakrishna Order of India. In fact, this is the Order's first Center started by Swami Vivekananda, in 1894. It was a historic event, for the seed of the world-wide Ramakrishna Movement was sown here in New York over a century ago. Swami Sarvapriyananda is the present Resident Minister and Spiritual Leader of the Vedanta Society of New York.
This is the sweetest, most sincere and charming Vedanta spiritual teacher I had the chance to listen to so far. Very wise and positive and full of life and love, you can see it in his eyes and his facial mimic as he explains the greatest truths.
What a lovely surprise to find Swami Yogmatmanand Ji today on utube! I was fortunate to get his audience in Shillong on several occasions . Not to miss the Sunday discourse on the Gita . And soon after my meetings when I encountered the worst tragedy in my life , his words were soothing and I found solace in his kind words . He has not changed...so sweet, charming and simple.Pranams to him!
Thank you for sharing about those days in Shillong :)
My writing is to express my gratitude for the teaching of running out of time. Thank you 💓.

Pranam Swamiji. Unable to concentrate on a single form of the God as I believe in many forms. Please guide me Swami
Just see God in everything.
Thank you very much for the quick response 🙏🙏🙏
Do you have a ishta devata?
@@saraswati1386 no
The answer is in your question. You believe in forms of God. Once you start focusing beyond the form, you will start realizing God. The forms help you visualize and connect. But God is formless.
Old age is a heap of broken dreams! 😆
Yes the mouse is an intereating figure in Hindu mythology. I have seen temple sculptures where religeon is conveyed by a dancing elephant but the elephant is being held up by a long suffering mouse who in turn sits atop the king of the gods. Not sure what to make of all that!
Crazy world huh?
Pravrajika Muktiprana writes verses of Late Margaret Elizabeth Nobel,
Politics, race or language based history makes Land & Law disabled .
Motherland India is practically undivided,
North and South are married and firmly tied .

Society at the large has, too, the real value to offer .
