@@vvv2k12 some yogis were known to have been so engrossed in Samadhi that they did not notice ants nest over them and bite them. We are nowhere close, but let's say my wife cheated on me - I am unhappy only as long as I mind. And I mind only as long as I identify with or am attached to this person that I call myself! If I don't engage with my thoughts, I soon find myself engrossed in the consciousness behind the "I".
@@vvv2k12 To point to the extreme you can be assured of more suffering than need be until that point. The complete elimination of suffering is not only impossible in this realm but if that is one's goal you have already made your bed of nails. I just want to travel lighter.

What about inanimate objects? This contiues and continues as Awareness. Instruments of observation is different from Awareness.

A few kilometers from my home town is Kaladi - Adi Sankara's birthplace. He taught the whole India, from India it went to US. And now its coming back to me (in Dubai) from US. Its a Long cut made short by RUclips and Swami. 🙂🙏
Swamiji has outdone himself in this lecture. No one can now claim that they do not theoretically understand non dual vedanta after listening to such a powerful speech.

This one is one of those previous classy lecture of "Lamp of Bliss" where he explained how a False bondage is corrected by a false liberation within a false superimposed existence generated by a knowledge within the superimposition and we know we are always Brahman as Consciousness is existence itself. Matter is an appearance in Consciousness. Our freedom is ever Real our Bondage is never.. & followed by Nondual awakening where he said how Karma and Bhakti Yoga helps in de-superimposition.

Swamiji is currently the best, most inspirational teacher of Advaita Vedanta. Blessed to be listening to his lectures.
The brain & body CALLS FORTH consciousness but consciousness also calls in all material perceptions. We live in a self-resolving paradox machine where each moment in our lives is the reconciliation of two contradictory circumstances. In this reality, the biology of the human body works to summon & house consciousness. When the biology stops working properly, the consciousness leaves the body. While consciousness is in the body it illuminates all material perceptions. There is a third factor at play that facilitates both physical manifestations & consciousness itself.
AMAZING lecture, by the way. Thank you so much for sharing. I was really glad to find somebody else on the planet who thinks similarly to the way that I think. I thought I was all alone :)

Thank you Swami 🙏 I believe the Jiddu Krishnamurti quote was actually "i don't mind what happens" instead of "I don't care what happens". Basically the same, of course, but the original wording sounds a little less negative at first impression.
True, there is a big difference infact, in the first the basis is love, in the later it is denial...
there is huge difference between "i dont mind and i dont care".
dont mind means no thinking- no dualism-no memory.dont care means thinking-dualism-judgement-then ignore-memory of that incident.explanation from as i understood him.i may be wrong.

I am a math teacher and also a great lover of Advaita Vedanta. I use to explain it to my friends using a logic statement and it’s converse: Example The statement “If I live in Miami then I live south of New York” is a true statement but it’s converse “If I live south of New York then I live in Miami” is obviously false. Similarly the statement “If an object is it exist inside consciousness” is a true statement even for a person like Richard Dawkins but it’s converse “If consciousness is then it exists inside objects” is false because I can be conscious in absence of objects. As obvious as 2 + 2 = 4
I agree that Consciousness cannot be objectified through our mind and said to be existing as a substance inside objects as materialists seem to believe. However, Consciousness exists not only inside but also outside all objects, simultaneously. All objects are verily Consciousness appearing with name and/or form. Consciousness, however, exists free of the limitations of “inside” and “outside” since these concepts are merely spatial appearances of Consciousness.
Also, I submit that any statement that begins with “If Consciousness is …..” is an oxymoron since we must necessarily accept the existence of Consciousness to posit the existence of Consciousness!

@@rsr9200 i would say all space and time explanations full in the case of consciousness since consciousness is ina different dimension of the space time paradigms and both space and time collapse into consciousness and don't exist at this plane. It is as if a table can exist in mind but mind cannot in a table to illustrate the above observation.

@@rsr9200 you are correct. Consciousness exists in space time and also in all things and beings of the universe because it is the cause of everything which includes space and time. This is similar to saying that snake exists in the rope but we cannot say rope exists on the snake because the snake is a figment of imagination and is mithya or untrue.
The truth is that in truth no object exists but appears to exist by the power of Maya which cannot be defined either true or false and hence called mithya and it means that as long as we see the thing exists but on closer analysis and in truth does not exist. So for a person who has this knowledge, though things appear they would look like a Mirage. Here again let me caution that all examples do not explain the truth in totality and have to be viewed beyond the example similar to guiding a person to see the branch of a tree to get to see the moon.
When I say consciousness exists in all things and beings, i refer to the ultimate consciousness and not the reflected consciousness called jivathma which again borrows the property of consciousness to project things and beings using the ultimate consciousness as the causative base. Such a jivathma is present in all logically identified by us in all beings but not in things which we call as insentient.
Also as per vedas, this ultimate consciousness cannot be correctly or fully understood by logic because logic fails to give us the realisation of reality and it can only say what is not real.
So advaitha can only be understood by sabdha (sound) pramana. Here pramana is a source of knowledge like our sense organs. Here the source of knowledge is only vedas. And logic is used to counter any other explantation and nothing can counter the Veda pramana which again could be verified by direct knowledge called "Aparoksha jnana' ., (which is like an astronaut going on to a space ship and seeing that Earth is round and goddess around the sun whereas alok along he knows the same truth to almost certainty by study of the books. But inspite of reading all books a person cannot be said aS having direct knowledge of spherical shape of the earth.
Amazing. If his realization matches his erudition and elucidation, he's blessed beyond expression. Thank you for this.

@@bhattacharya6774 in his biographies its mentioned that he used to saw Buddha's face often and buddha used to visit him. many times buddha spoke through him. and K is not a wever of words. he speak plain and simple truth. many times his face used to change and atmosphere too and he used to say buddha was here. he speaks practical things like awareness and not any theories

Consciousness + object = experience. Vow, how simple and accurate.. 🌺 📿 🙏
Or if you modify the equation, Consciousness = Experience - Objects; which means if you remove all worldly 🌎 objects including the fluctuations of mind (which is also an object) you become one with all pervading - in states of advanced meditation and Samadhi this can be gradually experienced
Or in other words objects are only known due to fluctuations (or coloring) of mind, as per sutra 4-17 in Patanjali yoga sutra तदु परागा पेक्षत्वा क्लच्चत्तस्य वस्तु ज्ञाता ज्ञातम्॥४-
१७॥ This is also why the same object can be perceived differently by differ minds sutra 4-15
