Here in the most northern part of Texas our wheat has just finished blooming...needs 5 weeks to be ready to harvest. About 3 weeks later than normal. Just got 7 to 8" of rain in May The first since October. Boy, Texas is a big state! That wheat is not bad.
Hello Hayden thanks for your videos. I wish I could have driven such a machine at your age! One thing that comes to me is that while I understand there are mosquitoes in the field at dusk, you might want to be careful getting the OFF (ie DEET) on your hands then using the touch screens in the combine/tractor. I am not sure if they have fixed this, but many plastics will dissolve when exposed to DEET. It would be a shame to damage your screens and or cameras because of this. Surprising the wheat is dry enough with that wet wet soil, its a wonder the evaporation doesn't keep wheat high in moisture

My wheat looks good at the moment and we only had about 2.25” of rain in May. Hail is about the only thing that would knock it out before harvest in 2-3 weeks.

Most fields that need tile have a high water table. That is not very common in Texas farm land.
