The routing for mechanical cables on these bikes is actually not that bad. Of course, it's still worse than traditional bikes as cables route through the headset, but it sets a benchmark at being quite serviceable. And for a few reasons. Cables and shift housing is external of the bar and stem, and is fed through a guide at under the stem. Hosing then goes through steerer tube spacers, outside of the steerer tube itself. Now, the big plus, the housing is fastened inside the downtube with access through the storage compartment door. This allows you to connect your new cables to the ends of the old ones and pull them through using the old ones. It also makes it easy to put foam sleeves on to prevent rattling. The other benefit, the bike is designed to use shift housing all the way to the mech, which helps ensure long life and smooth shift and consistent cable tension through all the bends.
tbh i really like this bike but I've heard a lot people complaining about the the creaking sound coming out from the seat post, which makes me have cold feet about it.
Maybe not for racing, but depend of your fitness. I think this will be a good choice for long rides

When was this one released? Thinking about picking it up but wondering if it will go on sale soon
What about iso problems? Seat slipping down and rattling. These problems turn me off it.
@@mad4tar77 thought that was fixed with the latest ones released this year?
@Natureboy207 I didn't know that, it would be great if the issues were actually resolved. Very difficult to actually find out.
@@mad4tar77 I spoke with the sales team at Trek and they confirmed it has been fixed
In Germany it is 2560€ with 105 Di2. Pretty good price if you ask me

Zufrieden mit dem Bike ?
Es ist nicht meins, war für einen Kunden.
I disagree. I prefer mechanical all day. Who wants to have to plug in their bike? Not me.
true that for end consumers it might be easier not to have to think about charging your bike :D
