Love your expert insights into hip action in the golf swing--I've really struggled with that. I have a hip sway run amok on the downswing and am trying to convert it into not only rotation as you mention here, but also upward thrust in straightening the lead leg. Already spent months on it and can only do it right with a practice swing. As a silly aside, you mentioned a couple of "take outs" at the end of the video. We in the States call them "take aways". And conversely, when we pick up food from a restaurant to take home, it's "take out"; whereas you guys call it "take away" I believe.
Great Video Dan- This certainly applies to me and issues I have with swaying both on the backswing and through-swing. I will start to try these idea's and hopefully, you will see improvement in this area in my next video. Thanks again Mate!
Machinelike precision and reliability can only follow instinctive balance, rhythm, and spine safety. Mr. Hogan didn't just cooperate with his non-conscious instincts that demand body safety; he employed them for his benefit. Baiting the instincts into conducting the symphony he consciously planned is the true genius of Hogan that merits infinite study.
Great bits!

Good you mentioned early on weight transfer to right foot in DS before weight over left heel at top. Have been tinkering with his backswing coil.
Great explanation of Hogan swing Dan , one of the easiest to understand I've ever seen
Great video.. i have a question.. will this cause reverse pivot and more importantly back problems?
great..thanks

I need help to shorten my back swing and then start the downswing correctly....ended up topping the ball since I started trying
Great vid bro subscribed see you on recon
I think Hogans tilt in his hips came from Mike Austin I believe. I think Austin’s swing is better for the average person as it’s easier on the back.
What about the pronounced tilt of his hips in the backswing?
His right hip is much higher than his left.
