loved how uncle Johnny was winding up some of the more ...er musically conservative roses fans, amazing how a band like that can attract so many with closed ears for something else, inspired choice to have Pil as main support to fuck with their heads ;-)
NME say online today that they were an awful racket. Yep and I loved it unlike most people around me. Let's face it, not many there for anything but the Stone Roses who lost a certain amount of fans back in the day pissing about recording their 2nd LP. They moved on to Britpop/Oasis who then spawned a new generation of lad culture fan who now revere the Roses. Thank God for them though, they drowned out Ian Brown's singing!
