Not quite. First it was in 19th century about work in paddy fields. Then was it adopted as partisan song.
Well that would suck because Italy was given over to communists for awhile (culturally speaking). Also Mussolini is in heaven which is based.

@@katgirl1958 Nah, not really. We have quite many italian people in germany but the languages are very different overall. And if you didn't learn italian as a third language you won't be able to speak it as a german.
The cultures meet in south tyrol though and many people in this area are able to speak both german and italian.

There is a very big difference between isolation and social distancing. You can communicate with people without crossing households. Singing together while beeing physically apart is a great example. There is no reason to isolate during corona, just to keep physical distance!

so many comments on YT from brits, americans, australians saying " this wouldn't be possible in our country" why is that? whats going on in the english speaking world?
M. B. Because the Germans go to church, are generally more religious, and with music an important feature of German religious practice, the initiative has come from Germany. Quite simply the British, Americans and Australians, at least those under fifty years old, make that sixty, are only into pop and rock music, have never seen a musical instrument up close, and don't go to church and are therefore embarrassed to sing. They watch pop videos with dancers and no musicians seen, and reality TV song contests in which the singer holds a microphone (but the musicians, if live, are off camera). In a random German suburb, according to this video here, there are musicians. In a random suburb, in the Anglosphere today, there are consumers of popular culture of not much culture themselves. That's not to say that all is well in Germany, and that all is bad in the English-speaking world, culture-wise. On Der Spiegel's cover back in February I think it was, there was a picture of a rapper all adorned by his tattoos. As if he was to be held up as a paragon of virtue!
Talking of tattoos, it was interesting to see that at the last World Cup or the one before, or maybe it was at the last European Championships, the German players seemed to have the least amount of tattooing on their arms and neck (compared with the players from the other countries) .

I was stationed in Germany in the US army in 1970 and me and my friend traveled all over Germany when we were off duty and the German people were so nice. I loved Germany it was so clean and it was like living in a Fantasy land.

@J.W.D. Salvation76 Hey Friend, No It's not Heat I Guess, It is because of strict lockdown in entire country, they forcely made everybody to stay at home, they locked country when the number of cases was just 300-400. They cut airlines, train, buses.
This is what helped a little in controlling the outbreak.
There are still no proof that Heat can help, but somehow that seems true too.
Cold places are worst affected than hot places.
