Oh wow Harri, I had not heard this! I was brought to tears! Prayers and positivity up for The Boss's full recovery from his peptic ulcer. We need to keep hearing that voice! Thank you Uncle & Harri, you made my week!
Dear Harry! From your first reaction now some years ago, I knew you were a good person with heart and you can show how you feel. Allthough I liked always the original song, this performance by Bruce is still something. Bruce has always ment what he had sung. THX Harry!!!
This whole album is a soulful masterpiece. Check out the entire album, but be ready to shed tears of joy and happiness. Keep in mind he is 74 years old
My Hometown Giant sounds sooo Great!!! He can sing Classics like this, and put his cool Jersey Shore spin on it. I'm a huge Fan, ever since I heard "Hungry Heart"! Excellent Songwriter!!!!
I've seen Bruce 8 times on his current tour and although he has primarily been playing his older material, he has played this song at almost every show.
I've seen 2 shows and I was thinking this would be a "bathroom break" song on the setlist. How wrong was was I. Just mesmerising. And also fun at times. Him and Curtis.
Bruce said he wanted to do an album that he didn’t have to write or play. He just wanted to sing…. This album “ Only The Strong Survive” is all Motown, Stax records. It’s fantastic!!
From the 2022 album, "Only The Strong Survive" a great covers album from Bruce. A great tune, saluting Marvin Gaye and Jackie Wilson, Bruce's vocals are brilliant and filled with emotional sensitivity on this great rendition. The back up vocalists are so beautiful and the band incredible. Such a great tribute on this memorable Commodores tune. Great reaction Harri. Thanks Harri and Uncle Phil. 👏👏 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
U.P. -When I first heard this salute to Marvin Gaye and Jackie Wilson, I was and remain very impressed with Bruce's tribute. Bruce shows his versatility and vocals by covering such greats as Marvin and Jackie. This was a wonderful submission, Phil. Harri, your review was thoroughly enjoyable. 👏👏
Thank you Harri, other people have already mentioned it but this is from an album full of nothing but soul classics. In fact it's his last studio album. The man is one of the most soulful voices in rock. Of course the original is still the best but this comes in a close second.
Bruce has been singing Soul covers for his whole career. This is a clip of Sweet Soul Music from a concert in 1988. It was part of Soul medley that he often closed his shows with back then. ruclips.net/video/WKQac7K9V3Y/видео.html
So weird watching Bruce sing without playing an instrument. Great cover.
This is GORGEOUS. OMG I've never heard it!!!!

He really did justice to this amazing tune. Of course nothing can touch the original but I still liked it.
The Boss does a fantastic job covering this legendary tune about the legend!
That was 🔥🔥🔥
What a surprising and lovely performance. ❤

Heck yeah! Big Springsteen fan. This might be my favorite cover and video he’s made

Old school guys respect all other forms of music and could do them because they respected them.❤

I have seen 3 and this is a highlight for me....he even loosens up and dances more and Curtis❤

A great Springsteen song is the long version of "Human Touch."

This is betau, thanks Harri. I wish there was a video done with simpler production closer to live.

Thanks for linking this!
Watch him doing this on his current tour…….brings down the house!
❤❤❤
The Jersey Shore Sound , created by Springsteen, Little Steven & Southside Johnny is a mix of rock, soul & R&B, - don’t forget the horns.
Live versions even better!
Please please play one reason to stay here by Tracy Chapman. Thank you,
Richard B
He could have done a soul album? He did a soul album! This is from it :))))
I didn't recognize him with that haircut
Is there anything Bruce can’t do?
