Mr Rain the 720s with absolutely perfect conditions can do 10 flat or even 9.8,9.9. 10.1 is probably already the best out of the 911, but in general the 720s is closer to 10.5 while the 911 will do 10.2 almost everywhere.
So now everyone wants to get technical and blame it on the numbers. For now McLaren much just hold this L. Bring some real competition next time. Bring that 765 maybe we might see a real race.

It’s there because free reving an engine that is not under load is generally not that good for it. All over speeds are also logged by the engine management and can checked with a scan tool..
Both of these cars are both BEASTS. Porsche has that Electric car type of torque off the line. It’s insane what Porsche has achieved over these past few years. Mclaren will always beat it in a longer drag race but Porsche has it at 1/4 mile.

Whereas a Corvette for example has been totally redesigned every generation. Side by side a Porsche still looks like a Porsche from 30 years ago. The Porsche gets my choice. Heavier, less HP and still beats the more expensive supercar. On running starts, he could have pressed the 911's boost button instead of being all distracted with the portable radio. The button is there for a reason, and it is to pass.

Nah no one who owns these will be drag racing from a dig. Maybe once in a blue moon. They’ll be doing hell of a lot more highway pulls for sure tho. 720s will gap the 911 every time. And on actual drag surface, 720s is still going to be faster. I’d still pick the 911 for me tho. I like my cars to be reliable no matter how much money I have.

Barta Bhaus You can tell something was designed well from the beginning if they haven’t had to drastically change it over the years. Its been refined. Whereas a Corvette for example has been totally redesigned every generation. Side by side a Porsche still looks like a Porsche from 30 years ago. Corvette today looks nothing like a Corvette 30 years ago. Other cars have to go back to the drawing board to keep up with Porsche. Porsche just keeps refining them.
