As some of you noticed, it was probably around 350 km/h since the speedo stops at 342 km/h and I kept going for a good 13 seconds😅 this thing is a weapon! Would you prefer it over a Ferrari or Lambo?

I don't think it reached 350 because the RPM stayed the same after it reached 342. Changing to a higher gear dropped the RPM a little. RPM still didn't increase after a while.

720S was a true revelation when it came out and still stands out to this day.
and 750s is the complete opposite.

It was actually going above 350 km/h speedo stops at 342
Km/h on Jhonny Bohmer Proving Grounds it did 351 km/h on GPS under 2.7 miles
Wish they had a GPS for this particular car. Seems speed limited to an indicated 342KPH. Engine RPM didn't seem to increase after it reached 342KPH near or at redline as well as changing to a higher gear.
@@627horsepowers As the Manufacturer once stated it could go even faster but Tires arent made for 360-370 kph and above.

Also there the modiffied one did same speed as stock. Which means gearing is as is :)

I believe it was actually going faster than 342km h but the Speedo stopped registering it
I think McLaren has the speedo programmed to stop at 341kmph to make the driver think he reached the top speed

They actually do lie, claimed top speed 341, car shows up to 344, actually goes above 350
Many of those videos get repeatable, cars are fast, yes, but there is no emotion. This McLaren however...That look, that acceleration, RWD, sound, purity, throttle reaction, what a machine...
The fact that you can get a 720s from auto trader for like max 250k is amazing that’s like entry level super car prices for such a beast

It actually wasn't stock, they increased the rev limiter so it could go that fast. Road cars can't go as fast because of that.

XP5 (7,500RPM to 8,300RPM) hit 243MPH
American spec F1 hit 217MPH, but it has far less aerodynamic bumpers to comply with US regulations
F1 LM hit 225MPH
If I had to wager a guess, I would say it would probably hit around 225MPH, since that's what the F1 LM hit with a high-downforce kit and 50HP extra, and it's higher than the tested Ameritech F1, which was the same HP with higher drag.
I also looked at the footage of the top speed run, he hits 243MPH, but he never actually hits 8,300RPM, it appears he only gets to about 8,100RPM.
243MPH / 8,100RPM = 0.03MPH per RPM.
0.03MPH * 7,500RPM = 225MPH on the dot.
Gotta say, impressive. Thanks for sharing.
